Its a Raspberry Pi screen I got off amazon. The page said it was 7mm deep and would have been a perfect fit between the glass and my basement. But the screen and board are 7mm deep, the HDMI port is mounted underneath and ruined my plans. If your case has a front mouthed SSD on the basement then you'll be fine.

GeeekPi 5", can draw enough power from HDMI.

BTW the 5" screen I got is powered via the HDMI and no need for the USB cable.

It's one of these screens, just connected with a right angle, thin HDMI cable running out the back of the computer into the graphics card. The HDMI powers it. I made a bezel for it out of an old DVD case. I made the mount for it out of an old 2.5" HDD bracket screwed onto the 2.5" SSD mount that came with the case. I'm using HWInfo for monitoring and using a rainmeter skin called SimplePerfMeters

The second one I linked, also has side connectors for USB power and HDMI. Makes it look cleaner in your scenario, where there's a cutout to the right of the SSD mount, for easy cable routing :)

It's this display, and I 3d printed the mount for it to match my case and fit inside a HDD mount.

I have the geeekpi 5 inch screen it's pretty cheap too
