Head over to r/dashcam, they had some high write life suggestions for cameras that would likely help. I wound up with a Lexar high performance due to them.

Edit: I'm using this in a dashcam.

Generally, the lexar 633x is top recommendation. Recently lexar announced that they will no longer produce memory cards, so that may cease in the future, but for now they're still widely available.

I was having the same issues with 5 different USBs until I tried this

Haven’t had an issue since.

I would highly recommend this one from [KDLinks.](https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L17EMP4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

It has a front and rear camera, it goes over and replaces your rear-view mirror so it doesn't even look like you have a camera (so no need to hide it when you park), and the company was VERY fast to respond to issues and replace one of the cables when I found it was faulty many months later.

One thing of note for ANY dashcam you get, get a good high quality SD card for storage. I tried using the basic SanDisk that everyone uses, and for Dashcams it is terrible. Because the cameras constantly overwrite data, cheap cards gets corrupted quickly. When I switched over to a [Lexar high performance card](https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B012PLSFH6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I have not had any more issues

Is [my card] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B012PLSFH6/ref=dp_ob_neva_mobile) fast enough ?

I need to get budget stuff, so I bought this one because it was fairly cheap, has high capacity and was recommended by other people.

I ordered the Lexar 633x UHS-1, I saw it on the recommended list on GoPro's site. The seller is Lexar, and the model number matches the one on the list to the last character (A instead of R)

The main differences between the two are: voice control, 4K, 10megapixel vs the old session's 8meg pics, and video stabilization

I think it'd be worth it to get the hero 5 session as there is a better image output and those extra couple features. If your budget allows for it, you wont regret it!

Plus the extras included in the 4 session arent all that crazy. 16gb memory is small and you'll likely fill it up quick.

I'm fairly certain the the machine should support up to 128GB cards without issue.

As for speeds, I'm using https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B012PLSFH6/ref=pe_3034960_236394800_TE_dp_1?th=1 (I don't know how it compares to performance with the Samsung cards in practice), on a Chromebook Pro, and have had zero issues. In fact, it's outperforming my expectations.

As for speeds, unless you're doing really heavy work on the card, I really wouldn't expect it to have any trouble.

I've found it performs either the same or better in everyday use in the ChromeOS finder app for loading content, and I have it mounted as a filesystem in crouton where it houses some fairly large git repositories that it handles beautifully.

Actually Amazon has the 633x version for the same price.

Edit: For some reason the Prime listing isn't always first, so check here to see the proper listing.

What's the difference between this and this Amazon 64gb for $15

I just want to confirm that this SD card will in fact work with my Hero4 Silver. The product code is different from the recommended card list, though the description is the same.
