Here is a Logitech one. Depending on what wireless mouse you have, it might make sense. Like I used to use the G903 with which the mouse pad might have been nice. But now that I use the G Pro Wireless, I really do not have to care about it all that much as the new sensor in the mouse uses so little power that you do not have to charge it for days in my case.

u/Javild · 2 pointsr/buildapcforme

This is probably as overkill as it gets before starting to lose performance.

This uses a custom cooling loop, it is not very hard to make since I used soft tubing, but if you don't want to use that, you can get 2 of THIS or THIS GPU and THIS CPU Cooler and just remove all the Custom Loop parts.

For the main monitor, I chose a 4K 144Hz monitor and 2 secondary 1440p 165Hz monitors which can also be used for gaming or can be used when you stream.

For the CPU I chose a 14 core i9 CPU, which has the best balance of cores and clock speed of the i9 CPUs, you could get more cores but the clock speed will drop a lot and so will your gaming performance.

I believe the G703 is just the g403 with the charging mat compatibility.

>I've been trying to avoid cable clutter on my desk but I wanna know if I should just go with a Logitech G502 which is half the price?

Two things: First, if cost is any kind of concern, do not think about the G900/403/603/703/903. Second, you can alleviate cable clutter with velcro tying the excess and getting a mouse bungee like the Zowie Camade.

The PowerPlay thing is particularly ridiculous, as you're literally paying 100$ for a more convenient charging station. And if your goal was to get rid of cable clutter, the PowerPlay literally has a cable going to it, so the sum is still 1 cable on your desk, just now it's not attached to your mouse.

For reference:

  • G502 is 40$
  • G900 is 113$.
  • G903 and the mousepad comes to 227$ total.

Is paying almost 3 times as much worth a good wireless experience? I don't think so. Is paying more than 6 times as much worth the best wireless experience you can have? I don't think so. Particularly, if you're just looking to reduce the amount of cables on your desk, the PowerPlay lineup does nothing for that, as the mousepad requires a cable: It literally just shifts the cable from the mouse to the pad.

The Powerplay mat and the G703 Hero are both $100.

that mousepad is a charger for a wireless mouse made by logitech

Original response got automod smushed because referral link

It's just the Logitech Power Play mouse pad. It's what most people are using. It does use a smaller 'puck' in the center of the mat, but the charging is somehow different from normal QI charging, so it will charge the mouse in any position on the mat. I think it's only compatible with Logitech mice for that reason.

Powerplay mat on Amazon.com is available for ~$95 + $25 in import costs (US Dollars) if it was something you actually wanted

u/Sterben4 · 1 pointr/LogitechG

Pricing on the Powerplay mat is like ~$150 now from amazon.com including shipping and ships faster than the 3rd party seller. As to why it's not avaible right now only thing I've got is a thing from Memory Express's website. " Due to the Canadian wireless charging regulation, the Logitech POWERPLAY WIRELESS CHARGING SYSTEM (sold seperately, part number 943-000109) is not available in Canada."

u/Pennywisdom1188 · 1 pointr/gaming

If I was spending that much on a mouse and mouse pad I would spend a little more on their powerplay mouse pad instead. It’s compatible with that mouse.

Not sure what your budget is but here are some ideas:

Wireless Charging Mousepad
(This is pretty new gaming tech if he likes wireless mice)

Wireless Charging Mouse
(There are 2 types from Logitech for the new pad)

Pressurized Growler

If he works, look at nice laptop bags.

See if he likes Bawls or other gamer drinks/edibles.

Hope it helps.

Same price at Best Buy.

I have also heard of ways of making this work on the G403 wireless through a simple mod.

Edit: This is the working Amazon link as /u/MorphineBear pointed out. My apologies, tried removing the refer part of the URL and it broke the link.

u/ClamatoDiver · 0 pointsr/buildapcsales

I use a 903 and the wireless charging pad. I never change anything.
