I have hair that is similar to yours, and i've been using Mane 'n Tail Conditioner for CO-washing. It's been working well for me. It's moisturizing but still very light, rinses clean, and doesn't weigh my hair down.
I found a PLounge friendly conditioner
I too have always used baby shampoo.. for the ferrets, the dog, and the cat. For conditioner I use this stuff which is freakin' amazing.
It's hands down one of the best conditioners you can buy, and not expensive either.
