The UK requires all bikes to be sold with bells, no stigma attached to them here... Most are 'ting ting' rather than 'ring ring' - I find the former a little more pleasant. Failing that, how about one of these ;)
I ding my mirrycle bell. I think it adds at least 2mph.
And an Airzound horn when a bell isn't loud enough. I started off with just an Airzound, but it scares the shit out of pedestrians and isn't really appropriate if you only want to announce your presence, so I bought this bell for $9 and save my horn for people with headphones, people blocking the path who don't react to the bell, and cars. The bell is very elegant, and most people seem to recognize two quick bell rings as a bicycle approaching. Yelling is still better than risking an accident by silently zooming by a pedestrian or cyclist who has no idea you're coming, but my rides are more pleasant with the bell.
It's a 2013 Motobecane Gran Premio. Steel frame with Shimano 105 parts on it. There will be some slight white scratches on the left side of the top tube.

The bike was stolen near Johnson and Wales university. I previously registered the bike and serial with the police in my hometown and I will be able to recover the serial number tomorrow.

I have this bell on my bike. I almost never encounter any other riders on the trails near me, but I do also ride my bike on paved bike trails when the singletrack is too muddy or damaged, and the bell is useful to let people know I'm passing.
I just do a ding to let them know I'm passing on the left. Walkers, runners, and bikers of all kinds share the paved trails around here and stay to the right anyways (there is a painted line down the center of the path), so it's just a quick way to say "heads up, I'm passing you on your left" without having to actually say it every 2 minutes. The bike trails get a lot of use from everyone.
