There already is a millennial monopoly and the tag line is “forget real estate. You can’t afford it anyway” LIKE THIS IS VERY REAL.

This exists. The slogan on the box is a prime proof that affordability of property turned from somewhat a taboo subject to something sufficiently confident in its immutability that it openly flaunts being unfair.

I would've sworn this video was some Onion-type stunt and that you were pulling my leg. But Holy fuck was I wrong. I wonder how this is paying off for Hasbro?

> ke a young person who dumps their money into a car they can't really afford and has to "make sacrifices" to keep it rather than getting a beater they

sale price of house was 465K. CMHC was 25,000$ in fees on top of that plus 10,000$ to end reliance on fossil fuel and put in a heat pump with electric furnace (big mistake there)

House had a suite, we lived in the basement suite. So no, it wasn't a home we couldn't afford, as we did, in fact, afford it. There were just sacrifices made.

The problem with your theory is that you should be able to just buy a house without surrendering to any type of lifestyle change. This just isn't the case, unless you want to move to Saskatchewan. So instead it's easy to just write it off as impossible and complain about "the system" instead of playing the system to your advantage.

Here's a good game for you. Instead of owning properties, you get life experiences and get to travel:
