You ever heard of Ona Gel?

Apparently it works wonders.

>recommend a grow "bible", which would it be?

The grow bible or anything else by Jorge Cervantes:

> How can I control odors when trimming, harvesting, and handling the plant in general outside of the bucket?

Ozone (controversial) or an open container of Ona with a fan blasting air over it. I do both at 3am when no one is likely to come over. I'll really crank up the ozone when I'm done and leave for an hour or so. Even being legal I still use this procedure.

The above is more for a harvest which can be very stinky. For steady odor control assistance you can drill a 1/4 inch hole or two in the lid of the Ona and just leave it in the living room.

ONA Pro works best in my experience but prefer the Apple Crumble. I have found that the Apple Crumble will not impart an odor on the plants if used in the same room.

>Do I need an air booster to use an inline carbon filter, or will a 12V PC fan have enough power on it's own?

Yes something. 12 volt PC fans often do not have enough static pressure for carbon filters. With AC fans you can use a light dimmer or a dimmer intended for inductive loads to control the fan speed if mechanical noise is an issue. The dimmers/speed controllers will usually generate some electrical noise or RFI.

I can't really recommend a seed bank (I can buy clones) but they tend to be very discrete and with many you can mail cash. Their reputation would be severely harmed if they played any games here. Some accept bitcoin.

Someone else will have to recommend an online seed shop domestically. Sensi Seeds is likely the best due to original/better genetics but they are based out of Amsterdam. I would just pack the seeds in a small alarm clock and forget about it in the past when I smuggled seeds back to the US.

You should check out Ona Gel. Ona neutralizes odors by evaporating and contacting the odor molecules, instead of just masking the smell. I've found these really help, and a lot of reviews mention "magic gardens" etc - a simple search finds out a lot of people use ONA gel to cover the smell of flowering weed. It's worth checking out for yourself.

Hey all just wanted to throw a few things out that I havent seen yet. Just general vape tips.

  1. The actual vaping isnt going to be much of a problem as far as the smell goes. Vapor dissipates very easy, if youve got a window open itll clear out super quick.
  2. The smelly part is anything where you handle the weed so opening up your package/storage, grinding can be super smelly, just opening your storage jar will get a noticeable smell of weed in the air for a bit. which brings me to
  3. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AC1N4DM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

\^\^\^ This stuff works, specifically this one. Dont bother with any of the sprays or other scents. Ill open this up with the windows closed and let it circulate before I start a indoor session, get my stuff ready then ill open the window a little. Ill finish my session and open the window full to clear my room, seal up the tub and close the window. I love with people and people come to visit and dont notice at all.

  1. I dont take any of those precautions in my car. (Though I wouldnt recommend vaping on a solo in a car). Ill have sessions in my car with the windows up and air on circulate and it wont smell when im done. By the time I get out of my car and open the door, I could go in the house, change my clothes and take someone in my car without them noticing a smell as long as I didnt spill any bud.

Ona Gel works incredibly well.

ona gel, for all your smell cover up/removal needs.

I don't know about long term, but in the short term buy one of these:

Ona Gel Pro, 30 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AC1N4DM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_aNGPAbZPQV80V

It will keep the smell away until you can get it fixed

u/TwistedLogic420 · 1 pointr/vaporents

Yup, pretty much. It kinda eliminates the smell also instead of just covering it up.

Here is it at Amazon if you want to read some reviews.

Ventilation is important for heat removal, but also for excess humidity. A light is like a small heater, the heat builds up fast in a small tent. The plants create a lot of humidity that needs removed.

Vent directly outside if possible. Use a carbon filter to cut odor from the exhaust. Any windows or a crawlspace/attic in the garage?

The carbon filter will cut the smell coming from the exhaust, but the second you open a tent with flowering plants the room it's in will smell. I've seen people recommend ona gel for indoor odors https://www.amazon.com/Ona-Gel-Pro-30-oz/dp/B00AC1N4DM

[Ona Gel] (https://www.amazon.com/Ona-Gel-Pro-1-Quart/dp/B00AC1N4DM) kept outside the closet will neutralize any odors that leak out into the room. If kept inside the grow closet you may have chemical-tasting buds.

u/twist2002 · 1 pointr/canada

get some ona gel and put it where the smell is coming in.

u/Numberoneallover · 1 pointr/microgrowery

Ona Gel Pro, 1 Quart https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AC1N4DM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_X1..ybW4DMQS9

Put one of these in front of the fan outlet opened only just a little bit

u/obeetwo2 · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

Oh I thought the idea was to take the air from the vent and push it through the bucket so the bucket of ona gel will deodorize it. So i want the fan pointed away form the bucket?

Also and recommendation on which smell to get? https://www.amazon.com/Ona-Gel-Pro-30-oz/dp/B00AC1N4DM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1511129479&sr=8-3&keywords=ona+gel

Also http://www.amazon.com/gp /aw/d/B00AC1N4DM?pc_redir=1410691980&robot_redir=1 This shit works wonders buy two.

Edit: DO Not use these in the same room as your plants! place them in strategic locations near the source of the smell.

Ona Gel is my favorite way for getting rid of smells. We had a drunken friend vomit in our car a few years ago and this was the only stuff that worked 100%. I just put it in a tiny plastic bag and tape it wherever the smell comes from (ie: litter box, waste bin, pot stash, etc.)
