I was looking to buy one for my brother who just got a new S6. Usually I stick with OEM products, but these third party ones received very good reviews. Any recommendations?

ninja edit: I'll also add that he uses a slim case and to be honest I'd rather use a non-fast charging cable if that means the phone won't get as hot.

You probably just use it heavily throughout the day. Any chance you work a desk job? I recommend a wireless charger for it, if you do. I use this one, and it's great!

I bought two of these. Arrived today. So far, so good. Dimension wise they're very close to the size of the phone.

Perfect, I have the same phone and wireless charging stuff to go with it.

You can get a tag for $10 here, and a charger for $20 here. I'd definitely recommend it, it's super awesome and convenient even if you do have a working charge port.

Here it is. Works great even with the case on:

For what it's worth, I use this Qi charger on my Nexus 5, and it works well. This one costs almost the same and gets significantly higher ratings.

Pro: easy and worry free.
Con: not as fast as a good adapter.

I use these, and I have three. They're a great balance of cost and durability.

I have the Spigen Air Bumper & a TechMatte Qi Wireless (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F1SHFJA/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). This combination works with no issues.

I have no problems with wireless charging on my Nexus 6 and it's been 3 years.

Edit - Here is my charger

u/Gnomelover · 1 pointr/Nexus5

I bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F1SHFJA

Its working very well. Same size as the phone, charges just fine with a Spiggen case on the N5, charges my N7 as well, is easy to position, etc. Not the cheapest but I have been pleased with it.

u/Sierra_Oscar_Lima · 1 pointr/Android

I got this one from Amazon and a Nexus charger. The nexus charger sucks. Magnets don't hold the N5 in place for shit. I like the cheap one better. It is slightly larger than the size of the N5 and is soft touch matte textured.

u/MalteseCorto · 1 pointr/iPhoneX

Shit. Can you other different cords with your computer, maybe see if it connects to itunes easily?

Otherwise, prolly hardware failure, in which case Apple will tell you to backup your stuff, reset the phone, update OS and all that fun stuff, and maybe just give you a new phone.

In any case, there is a good deal on a wireless charger today. Not that it’ll fix your problem, but just something in the meantime.

Good luck!

It's perfect.

So, this means when I read reviews on amazon and someone says "This charger does not stop at 100 percent and makes the phone hot" or something like they, that isn't true?

SO like this for example:
http://www.amazon.com/TechMatte-Wireless-Included-Qi-Enabled-Charging/dp/B00F1SHFJA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Will be fine, but can be expected to charge slower than a wall charger because of the low output?
