Here's the relative version on amazon if people would like to read the reviews: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074G5G8FT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A1BVYXEL822RF0&th=1
Looks like it's the same VA panel that's in the Microboard M340CLZ and Asus MX34VQ.
Ships out on August 15, so just in time for anyone who orders a Vega.
Edit: put wrong monitor that use the same panels
Edit Edit: reddit post with a guy who bought it.

People have reported favorably about Viotek GN34C - $530 - Amazon -- 3440x1440, 100hz Samsung display panel.

u/keldohead · 3 pointsr/ultrawidemasterrace

Yes, there is my friend! Both Pixio and Viotek recently came out with monitors with these exact specifications. The only difference is the display is MVA vs IPA.

I purchased the Pixio recently, should be delivered by Friday, I will let you know how it looks. I did a lot of research on these and basically these are Korean models that use a PVA display, which are cheaper and a nice middle ground between TN and IPS. The actual displays are manufactured by Samsung so it's not like you are getting some unknown hardware.

The biggest downsides to either of these? No vesa brackets. The price point is what drew me in, as it's nearly half the price of similar displays with g-sync.

Im going to be honest with you, a 2K ultrawide displaying 100Hz are findable for around €600, but their quality in general (and mostly warranty) is bad.

Out of curiosity, what are your specs?

You may find these interesting:

In EU they'll be a tad more expensive. The VIOTEK GN34C's quality is bad. The back of it makes cracking noises after using it a lot due to warmth.

Let me look for some EU websites.

EDIT: couldnt find any, besides amazon UK, where the model is unavailable.

I didn't know they existed until a few days ago either lol. I found it on Amazon, and HINT, if you load up a gift card, you get $10 off your purchase, AND they give you money back if you load it using your bank/debit card ; ) So basically I picked mine up for a total of $569.99 USD and I CANNOT complain!

There is also the cheaper versions of these monitors like the Viotek GN34C, or the almost out Pixio PX347c. Both go for $600 new.

Alright so if you're cheap like me, watch LTT, and want some bombass ultrawide action, I got a GN34C for 500$, which is 3440x1440, 100hz, VA panel, freesync, and curved. It's $530 at the time of this post on Amazon. Today is Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

This is kinda a cheapo monitor, but I haven't had any issues with it so far, although the viewing angles aren't anything special. I can get 100hz in most if not all games I play with a 1070, COD WWII nets me 100 when I have shadows, normal map, and specular map on low and putting AO to HemiAO (turning off reflections is nice too). In Siege I get around 100 most of the time with Temporal AA and LOD at low (my textures are at Ultra). In Doom I max everything on Vulkan. In Fortnite I get 100 with Shadows on medium, Effects on Low, and AO as low as possible (all of these settings were for my visibility however, and I don't know if I was getting 100 beforehand).

Also, for anyone who wants it, PM me and when I get around to it (I'm lazy so I might not do it immediately) I can send you the color profile and settings I am using.

My aim improved immediately. It is a massive difference. No joke.

I had this monitor before:

https://www.amazon.com/Viotek-GN34C-Widescreen-Definition-DisplayPort/dp/B074G5G8FT

It apparently has a 100Hz refresh rate but I didn't really notice it. It felt like 60Hz to me.

I got this monitor instead:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071D6NGMH/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Felt like I was downgrading because of the smaller res but it's still the default res for Fortnite... and man, the 244Hz makes a major difference.

I noticed it immediately. Just so buttery smooth... whereas my other monitor it felt like I was getting stutters and my mouse wasn't tracking very well. All I changed out was my monitor and it was night and day difference. If you search for refresh rate here you'll see other people with similar claims. It's crazy.

edit: just to note, you're going to need to be pulling 200fps average to really notice a difference though. If you're getting like 60-100fps then there's no point getting a 244Hz monitor.

u/FamedCaeser41 · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

other option I see if you don't mind VA, you can get a viotek GN34C at 100 hz for $529

u/NewToMech · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

How much you care about accurate color reproduction?

Like I said, if you don't care about gaming all the 3440x1440 might as well be the same monitor for you, outside of color calibration. So you're best off finding the one that currently has the lowest price (which changes because of sales)

I checked Amazon and if you don't mind refurb and a curved screen the cheapest listed is:

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Widescreen-XR342CK-bmijpphz-Refurbished/dp/B06ZYMMX9J/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1523639544&sr=1-3&keywords=3440+1440

If you don't mind smaller brand and curved screens there's this:

https://www.amazon.com/GN34C-Monitor-Widescreen-Definition-DisplayPort/dp/B074G5G8FT/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1523639544&sr=1-6&keywords=3440+1440

And then the cheapest flat ultrawide they're selling from a larger brand is:

https://www.amazon.com/LG-34UM88C-P-34-Inch-21-UltraWide/dp/B01CDYB5CW/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1523639544&sr=1-8&keywords=3440+1440

I don't love curved monitors for productivity. I'm constantly aware of some minor distortion when doing anything except playing games.

And people who haven't had flat monitors side by side with curved will say you have to move your head less, but that's not really true. You're saving maybe an inch of width on each side of the average curved monitor.

But curved is in, so most options are curved.

I have a Viotek, it's a Korean off-brand but with reliable customer service and uses Samsung's VA panel. 1440p, 100hz, half the price of branded monitors (ie. Asus, Acer).

u/cortin69 · -2 pointsr/buildapcsales

Don't buy this. It's older tech not even worth $460? I would pay most $350-375 honestly. I would get this one here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074G5G8FT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A1BVYXEL822RF0&psc=1

It's ultra wide 34 inches near the same price and 100hz freesync.

I myself had 3 X34's and didn't like them that much... Some Korean 27+ are just as good. AND that one on Amazon I just linked is better.. It's in my opinion the best monitor for price right now next to the X34 and others released under the same panel.
