You're a good friend. Check out /r/hardwareswap for used, or buy new if something used would be overpowered for his system. This RX460 is $99.99

RX 460 or GTX 1050

I would choose between these two GPUs. Again, either choice will be more powerful, less expensive, and more efficient than any GTX 950.

*The 460 and 1050 are basically identical in performance.

Edit: If you're looking to spend in the $160 range, I'd highly recommend an RX 470. Here is one for 145 after a rebate. This gpu is much more powerful than the 460/1050 and is nearly as powerful as the 480/1060 for a fraction of the price.

Edit: And here's an RX 480 on sale for $160 after rebate. That's stupidly cheap for a 480, so I'd highly highly recommend picking up on this sale if you're looking to spend $160.

This is the absolute cheapest build that can run games at decent settings at 900p/1080p.I wouldn't recommend going any lower than these specs.

Processor : i3 4160 / i3 4150

Motherboard : (Any lga 1150 mobo will do) [Asus h81m cs]

Ram : (Any 8 GB DDR 3) [Crucial 8gb]

PSU : [Corsair VS450]
(https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00X8QBT6M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AWO781LMQ8MJ4) (450 watts atleast , though you may want to upgrade. Buy only from trusted vendors like corsair even though there are cheaper options because they might not be the safest.)

Graphics Card : RX 460 or GTX 1050 (I wouldn't recommend 750 Ti or even anything lower than these two.)

HDD : (Depends on your usage) [WD Blue 1 TB]

Okay, my advice is to buy an rx460 for $100. That will give you the single biggest boost to performance (without the need to upgrade your power supply) and will probably allow you to run your games easily :)

Just make sure you buy a card like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01JGQU8WI/ref=psdcmw_284822_t1_B01J9FFV14

This card does not need any wires. It simply plugs into the slot your gt 630 is in, and will run. Be careful, as many rx 460 cards require a '6 pin pci power cable'. You don't want this. Make sure you buy a 2gb (not 4) model that has no 6 pin like the one above :)

Good luck!

If not used, XFX RX-460P2SFG5 AMD Radeon 2GB GDDR5 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JGQU8WI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_e0UxybZDFYVHD

That is $100. You can get a 1050 for around $110.

RX 460 is a budget card that costs $100 if you're only looking for games at that level, that should be fine. Don't expect to be playing Overwatch or anything. (EDIT: Actually the 460 can play overwatch at 60fps, TIL)

EVGA is a quality PSU brand and it likely doesn't even cost more than the one you had out. Just in case, that brand you had has been known to short out if you get close to it's rated power. Only get that PSU if you want to break your machine.

this one looks pretty cheap https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JGQU8WI if you decide to buy one, you can search on amazon for rx 460 if what I linked isn't 99 dollars.

I have an AMD RX 460 I'd do for $99.99 Shipping included.

This is most likely the best deal you could ever wish for:

Your PSU should easily be able to handle it and it's just below 100 dollars
