Me too, but I have this wallet, it's hard to even tell what pocket it's in.

it is because I have been using these and they last less than a year and I was looking for a longer lasting alternative. I am not trying to be frugal, just getting tired of rebuying the same damn thing over and over.

I don't know if this was the secret intention or not but I just ordered the wallet, it's actually pretty nice looking lol ...

If that first photo is a shot of you wearing them, then no. They have no definition, that combined with the fact that they look quite small makes your face look a bit fat.

You've got a rounder jaw, so you want something with sharper lines, otherwise it'll make your jawline look pudgy. Try something with more substance framewise and a bit larger in size. Sidenote: I really recommend against Aviators for you as well. (Also, style that hair man!)

Ti Key Hanger with library card, free Frosties, House key, car key.

Edit: Bandana - McDonald's giveaway at a charity event I went to.

I wanted to experiment. I was curious to see what the least knife that met most of my needs could be. Found this kiridashi for $7; it's even left-handed. Kiridashi are like a craft knife - used for marking, detail work, and simple cutting. They are usually ground single bevel.

I combined it with the least flashlight that met enough of my needs. 90% of the use is cleaning up after the dog on midnight walks, looking under furniture, in cabinets, etc.

It will be interesting to see how the next few days go.

I did a video on a bi-fold which is pretty light and slim. The other two wallets visible at the beginning of the video are the Saddleback front pocket wallet and the slimmy front pocket wallet. I use the Slimmy most often, its a great thin wallet.

cotton archival gloves!

Once they get dirty you should throw them out and start with a clean white pair. Not horribly expensive but will really make a difference in the life of your book.

You should also look at getting an archival book cover something like this: http://www.shopbrodart.com/supplies/archival-products/book-and-pamphlet/Archivalbook-boxes-and-ties/_/Exact-Fit-Rare-Book-Boxes/ will also extend the life of the book by protecting it from light, humidiy changes etc

No good way for someone else to be able to answer this, because everyone is different, and everyone's personal gear/cargo load/bike set up will vary.
My suggestion would be take some practice runs in the clothes you intent to wear(and with the new tires should you get them), and get a feel how much the heavier more restricting clothing, etc, effect you.

Best "estimate" I can give you to go on is to say that for me personally with heaviest clothes I wear during winter riding, and with my rough condition tires on, etc, that my average speed goes down by 3 - 5 mph, and I stop to rest about twice as much.

But, again, that's total winter riding, freezing temps set up. If it's less harsh and you can get away with being less bundled, then it won't have nearly as much affect on you.

OH, another note though. Gloves man. Make sure to have some decent gloves because cold weather riding is harshest on your extremities. I've never cared for "mitten" style gloves, but last year my sister got me a pair of half-finger glove/mittens like these, that to my surprise have turned out to be perfect for my riding needs.
And for your ears, this type of ear-muff-thing is perfect for using with a helmet

> I always forget my bike key while I am out. Please suggest a way.

This could use a bit of clarification. What bike key? Bicycle lock key? Motorcycle ignition key?

I've walked away from my motorcycle with the key in the ignition before. You can get something like this to add to your key chain to make it more visible so you don't forget it.

Buy one of those hard wallets for credit cards and keep them in there to reduce the possibility of damage.

u/mrpopsicleman · 2 pointsr/snes

I got both of them pretty close to each other (NES in 1992, SNES in 1993) so I think both are great. I feel like you can't have one without the other. Though I think the SNES had more consistently good games, and is the console that many 2D genres, like platformers and JRPGs, were perfected on.

That being said. I'm sick to death of NES nostalgia. We had it in 2002 with the NES e-Reader cards. We had it in 2004 with the Classic NES Series. We had it in 2013 and 2014 with the NES Remix series and the NES 3DSXL. For over a decade, we've had it on everything from shirts to hats to wallets to shoes. And we have it now with the NES Classic Edition. I get that the NES is iconic, but are they ever going to move on to SNES nostalgia? Yeah, they had the Super Famicom controller for Wii and the Super Famicom New 3DSXL, but both of those were Japan only.

I like the Allett Slim wallet since it's very thin (due to the different layout of cards, and the material). Though, that's more for a daily driver to put in my pocket. For keeping cards at home I got a business card case, something like this.

I'm looking for a new wallet - a small one. There are a bunch of ~$15 "minimalist" wallets on Amazon that are perfect for me, but they all have RFID blocking which is a no no since I keep my metro card in it and don't like taking it out of my wallet when tapping in to the system

I know you all love wallets - any suggestions?

u/the_s_d · 2 pointsr/comicbooks

Cheap cotton archival document handling gloves.

They are cheap enough to have, are machine washable (until they fall apart) and satisfy your neuroses. It's OK to be a bit neurotic of it's not standing in the way of your enjoyment of life, for example taking the joy out of your comic hobby.

Others may look at you as a bit unhinged, but with the gloves you're harming no one, so hopefully you can just shrug off the criticism.

Personally, what I do for this problem is use my lap a bit on my nice cushy chair for reading and vary my grip position a bit each page turn. I have similar gloves (from Uline) but they are for my other half who actually does book / document / photograph restoration with them. I do not use them for reading comic books, but they would be fine for that purpose if I had old or rare enough ones, I suppose.

u/onwee · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I use the Slimmy. It works well enough (2 years and going) for my purposes (6 cards, couple of bills, day's worth of folded receipts).

I made my own version of this with an old ratchet strap. I'm going to redo it once I have the time, with a newer strap and the buckle from this (literally the same belt alyx studios make). It's one of those things that's really easy to diy though, and you can add your own personal touch to it!

If you don't want the goggles you can also look up just normal diffraction glasses cause that's what I use, although they don't stay on when you're headbanging but it doesn't really matter. Just know if you get a really nice glass pair they're heavy. u/ips0fakt0 · 1 pointr/AskMen

I use this front pocket wallet. It keeps my licence, credit/debit card and a few other cards in it. I also keep a few $20's just in case. But most stuff I purchase with my cash back credit card.

I don't like having anything bulky like a wallet in my back pockets.

I have a simple money clip I use in addition or sometimes in place of this if I know I'm going somewhere that I will use cash. If I use it instead of I take my drivers licence and credit card out and leave the rest of the wallet locked in the glove compartment.

u/Hot_moco · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

u/unprotectedsax · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I've got a Slimmy hehe. I've had it for atleast a year. I love it. I don't really have a lot of shit to carry around so it's perfect if all you have is a couple of IDs, buspass, debit card, and a couple of bucks. It's so slim. I like skinny jeans and I can barely see it in my pocket.

u/davepsilon · 1 pointr/skiing

Its legitimate for someone to decide they don't want to wear a helmet while skiing (except I think for under 18 in NJ). However I'm going to judge them on their decision. If they were my friend I would encourage them to wear one for everything but backcountry low angle snowfields :). It's too easy to have a collision with another skiier or to find variable conditions in bounds. If you were my friend here is what I would tell you about your list

  1. Helmets are not very uncomfortable. Your helmet was very uncomfortable for your head. I'm sure I could find a hat that would be uncomfortable for you too. Here are a few ideas: wear a helmet without earflaps AND a hat. Wear a helmet without earflaps and separate ear muffs like http://www.amazon.com/Degrees-180S-Black-Fleece-Warmers/dp/B006U1EM66 Or just try on a few different helmets before you buy one.

  2. Stop taking your goggles off your face. Never take your goggles off your face and leave them on top of your head. If you don't breathe on them and don't sit them on your forehead they won't ever fog up.

  3. That's pretty annoying. You should probably buy or make a helmet sack. You can start with one of those drawstring backpacks you get for free every once in a while.

u/Vectorbug · 1 pointr/running

I run commute 5-7 miles each way so I carry wallet, iPhone, keys and sometimes garage door clicker. I just bought this fanny pack (errr, running belt, w/e). It's perfect for wallet and keys. My running shorts have a little pocket in the back for the 3rd slab/item. It's been a really good combination. Can't attest to its long-term durability but I forget I'm wearing it.

I've also gone running in cycling jerseys for their pockets. This one in particular is almost perfect, except its too short in the front for running - however I'm 6'1" and own the Medium because I'm not a heavy guy.

The night light material, full zip and pockets in the back is perfect. The fit hugs my body so it wicks very efficiently and the junk in the pockets doesn't bounce around. If only the front was a little bit longer, but when I wear my singlet, the jersey is out of sight.

I've had this for about 2 months now. I carry 5 cards and a large 50 cent sized coin in it daily. Only problem is when I have cash on me its stuffed so I have to pocket bill loose in my pocket. There is also a larger version of this wallet that might fix this problem, but I feel that if this was any bigger it wouldn't be comfortable in a front pocket.

I have also used this style of wallet for around 2 years. I think it degraded the life of my credit cards much faster, but it was much thinner and more efficient will dollar bills.
