Maybe she just doesn’t want to see your thighs. I agree that board shorts and speedos aren’t that different in terms of covering contours, but they do go lower and cover thighs. That extra length can offer a lot more comfort in knowing for sure nothing will peek out. Plus other won’t have to be blinded by your possibly very untanned thighs.
My bf wears something like these when he swims.

They’re like the same material as speedos, but they do a better job keeping his dick in place and are more supportive in his opinion. They also stay snug to your skin a way that doesn’t need adjustment kind of like yoga pants. So they’re super comfy and work well in heat. I actually ended up getting a similar style for women’s
Now buy Dad a banana hammock for father's day.

There are 3 basic types of mens suits:
Brit Swimmer here!
I got these as my first pair:

They fit my 36 inch waist perfectly so I guess the same would be true of a 28 or 30. Tighter is better unless it cuts off circulation. You don't want them to slip at all (for both modesty and drag).
Mind if I ask how old you are? Boys (no disrespect) jammers are here:

They are likely identical but you don't pay VAT on "kids" clothing hence the cheaper prices for the same size.
You will not be sorry, I was hesitant to make the jump from board shorts to something tighter but I feels so much better, faster etc.
I recently bought these for swimming laps at my health club's pool. So far I am a huge fan.
Dry bag (simple roll bag) and dry phone bag.
Surf racks for your car.
Inflatable life jacket belt. These are the bomb! https://www.nrs.com/product/40037.01/nrs-zephyr-inflatable-pfd
Pretty much anything from NRS - https://www.nrs.com/category/2550/sup/
Good paddle clothes. For days you don’t plan on getting wet, get lightweight shirts (short or long sleeve). This one from Speedo is great - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005QXF4FM
For days you might get wet, neoprene shorts (for under your swimsuit), neoprene jacket, etc. A little bit of lightweight neoprene adds a lot of potential warmth in the water and makes your more confident. Check out NRS Hydroskin.
Good hat.
Polarized sunglasses with a cord.
I wear these:

No drag and don't restrict movement. Very happy with them.
Something like this should let you feel comfortable and not look out of place at the same time.

Amazon has them for $21
What about a bathing suit jammer, like this: https://www.amazon.com/Kanu-Surf-Competition-Jammers-Black/dp/B00DGOKCZK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1468512464&sr=8-4&keywords=jammer
They dry out quickly and can be worn as underwear, I've done that before on hikes that I knew were going to be wet or would involve swimming.
plain swim jammers
Purple Fabric Paint. White Fabric paint.
Alternatively just buy it.
they make workout bikini tops, basically sports bras that don't stretch out or disentegrate in chlorine which essentially binds everything up a bit (i don't currently need all that much). Thinking this or this one currently. I've always had an infatuation for competition suits as I've been on swim teams and life-guarded throughout my younger life before figuring out the trans stuff, and I love the sporty look to them.
And rashguard is basically a swim shirt generally popular with surfers so it's almost a socially acceptable way to wear a shirt in the water without having any obvious reason to feel self conscious. They come both tight and loose, though at some point in the future I'd much rather feel more comfortable in this ;-p
If you're good with buying me something from a third party website (I could give you my info), I'd love these so I could get into swimming and get healtheier and stuff. If not this is pretty cool too!

Then use heaping amounts of sun screen on face/neck/ears/legs.
trying is a lot of compromising. Small size and low weight versus high capacity/bigger size/heavier gun.
In the end it's what you're comfortable with, and what you have confidence using. Most importantly it is about what you will actually carry. I know two people who carry, concealed, Beretta 92fs;s? 92FSss, M9s. I could not do it but for them the hundred holsters they tried and their solution is ideal.
AS for dropping 3,000 gun for a 300 gun when you leave you have to remember that people spend a lot of money for marginal improvements when it comes to sporting events. My kid swims and there are 30 dollar jammers and 400 dollar jammers.
If you're swimming to not drown, the difference between the swimsuits isn't really a thing. When you're racing, trying to set a record, competing, the extra dough is worth it because while the speed boost is of no real world value in competition the millisecond or two it might shave off is everything.
Wouldn't suggest cutting jammers, better off just ordering these .Pretty sure cutting them would have them falling apart pretty quickly. I've never cut a pair, but if a hole gets poked through the material it just gets worse and worse almost every time I swam. square legs make your quads look joocy too
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000YZO1D8/
Thanks for writing so fast! I'm still not sure if I should get square legs or jammers... I found some endurance+ on amazon:
here are the square legs:
https://www.amazon.com/Speedo-Endurance-Polyester-Square-Swimsuit/dp/B000YZEJ2G/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=speedo%2Bsquare%2Bleg&qid=1551067719&s=gateway&sr=8-2&th=1&psc=1
here are the jammers:
https://www.amazon.com/Speedo-Endurance-Polyester-Jammer-Swimsuit/dp/B000YZPLZ0/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=speedo%2Bjammers&qid=1551068156&s=gateway&sr=8-5&th=1&psc=1
How do those look? I am a very skinny person, and so I am wondering if I might want the Jammers for extra warmth.
With the endurance+, are they still fast? I don't need super sonic fast, but I don't want to be bogged down either. Do you have endurance+?
This.
You are so awesome for doing this. :D
