(Part 2) Best automotive cup holders according to redditors

This is a cupholder liner for the Tesla Model 3. If printed in a semi-flexible material, like TPU or Ninjaflex, the side blades will bend to firmly hold the inserted item.

(If printed in a non-flexible material, the side blades will break or prevent you from using the thing. Or, they'll securely hold a very weirdly shaped other thing.)

Also, the shape of this may be useful to other modelers, since (after a ludicrous number of attempts) it is a fairly precise fit for the interior of the cupholder area. If folks are interested and let me know, I'll throw the core dimensions together on a drawing, or in a STEP, or some such.

If you are printing this for yourself, great. If you are considering having this commercially printed, it may be more cost-effective to just order this very similar commercial product.

I may tweak this to add anti-suction dimples in the bottom, or to adjust the fin geometry, but I want to live with it for a few days before tweaking. I appreciate feedback from users/makers.

I put these fold-down cup holders in mine.

I attached it to the side of the center console on the passenger side so it sits just to the left of the shifter. It works great actually.

You're missing some parts.

As others have recommended before, cut protection film to protect the right hand side or (more work) the whole surface. Or pick up any of many 3rd party inserts to overlay and then change out with your whim.

Still not a fan of the can placement, it means you have to prissy-finger the shifting like this. If you don't tend to have a passenger you can mount one of these folding cup holders on the right side of the center console and still have it in easy reach.

It was fairly east to install. They glue onto the bottom of the cup holders pretty easy. I love em so far let's see how it holds up with the hawaii heat

I have manual steering in my mustang and my f250 so I have a big steering wheel and I’ve smacked it a few time making a quick turn. Lol

gift from the girlfriend. can be found on amazon here. There's inserts for the cupholders, the bottle holders in the doors, and underneath the cupholder unit as well. Super inexpensive and they match really well with the interior.
