I have a 19 sport but really wanted an ex for the extras and couldn't get it in time. Seeing it in my color makes me so jelly. That's a clean whip 🔥
As far as chrome delete goes, here are some links you can use if you want. smoked markers, chrome trim blackout, lug chrome delete, black or carbon handles, this site has stickers for the useless buttons, steering wheel, dash, shifter. I went down a rabbit hole.
But, what if, my mirrors do stick out 18 inches? When in non-tow mode... And, they happen to stick out 21-22 inches when extended in towing mode. These are my mirror dimensions.
And in case you think I made that, this is the amazon post where I bought them.

You lose about 1/3-1/2 of the right side mirror with the door on though just fyi. They work great and never need to worry about two sets of mirrors either.
maybe try buying it not from BMW? Or an aftermarket replacement?
something like this (amazon)?
I have the exact same problem. Put a frost sleeve on your mirror when parked. Eventually the bird will go find a new reflection spot to poke at. If not, you at least have shit protection for your mirror. Here's one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01733WKRW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_FQ7JybHXZSZNP
I felt that most mirror options specifically made for Jeeps were overpriced or heard they don't work too well.
So I found this on 4x4xplor.com.
Parts needed:
It's pretty simple and works great. Just bend the arms, put the bolts and washers through, and put it on your Jeep. I did have to make the holes for the bolt a little bigger which was not mentioned.
I've gone up to 70mph and they have not moved. They will bob up and down when going over bumps though, but it's not bad.
I picked up these mirror relocation brackets from Amazon a few years ago. Makes it much nicer if you have the doors off all the time to be able to still have mirrors. I keep mine on all the time and just move the mirror back on the right door as it's hard to see it otherwise.
Nice Jeep!
Pretty sure it’s the same as the one on mine
4X4 Round Mirrors for Jeep One Pair TJ Mirrors fit for 1997~2006 2007~2017 Jeep Wrangler Side View Mirrors for 1997~2006 2007~2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWQSJ9T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Rjg1Cb2E7HZKE
I have these on my TJ. I just recommend replacing the giant hand-turned bolts with some hex head bolts, as they are easier to get really tight (the size you will need is M8-1.25, but I can't remember how long it needs to be). The ones that come with it are hard to tighten and may result in your mirrors folding back in at highway speeds. Aside from that, they are pretty sturdy. Took them out on the trail and even with all the shit that hit them, they didn't even bend.
I have those mirrors as well:

These have been working well on my wife's JK, just have to make sure to really tighten the quick release knob so they don't fold on the freeway - Rugged Ridge 11025.12 Black Rectangular Quick Release Mirrors - Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GRHRTEU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_cTk4wbD0Z02YW
I was just surprised in purchasing an after market outside rear view mirror for a relative's 2005 Pontiac Vibe (basically a Toyota Corolla).
Cost was $28 new from Amazon. The car is white but has exterior black accents so the mirror casing is black and the new mirror matches the original. Cars with color coded exterior mirrors will also need a custom mixed paint and seal coat kit at about $45.
In my case the relative has a mechanic who will install the mirror for $25. It's about a 30 minute job based on my viewing of a couple of YouTube videos on the same year and model car (have to completely remove the driver's door interior panel - easy once you see how on YouTube).
I'll follow up here once the mechanic has it installed and, I hope, working with the remote control.
Here is the link (they went up a couple of bucks since I ordered this last week)
These exactly.
Seems simple enough to just pop it out, I'll give it a shot in a minute here.
I just ordered them on amazon mirror
Here are some links for the product in the above comment for different countries:

I found one on Amazon (this one specifically), and I'm probably going to get it for my XJ.
Here Mirrors
Get these Washers they go on each side of the hinge rubber side in, no rattling and a tight fit.
I just ordered https://www.amazon.com/Black-Manual-Mirrors-Right-Wrangler/dp/B078Z21R1B because I feel blind when merging. I don’t wanna run over a Smart car or anything...
Yeah, I was looking on Amazon and the ones I saw looked really sketchy. Is this similar to what you had? This kind of clamp looks like it might just fly off at speed.

Hey,
Not OP, but I bought these and they're amazing so far. Still need to go on a full road trip with them. From the picture in the amazon link, they fit on the lower part of the mirror and have a nice rubber pads. They dont strap on like OP's mirros and they're very study and do not wiggle around while driving.
Dometic DM-2912 Milenco Grand Aero3 Towing Mirror - Twin Pack

Bought some “carbon fiber” mirror caps for my 7.5 about a year ago. Took a little elbow grease and a few YouTube videos to get on but once they were on they look fantastic!
Replacement Carbon Fiber Rear... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019TVLIAQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The only gripe I had with this one in particular was that the tabs on the inside which secure it to the mirror assembly are a lot thinner than the OEM ones so they didn’t snap on as easily
I'm thinking this might be a good replacement:

Ty for responding
Is there any way to find the specific part to make sure it's a match?
Otherwise I have found this:https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Mazda-GS1E-69-1N1A-50-Mirror-Housing/dp/B00P3D2MXW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1/140-7407313-6953334?ie=UTF8&qid=1542654552&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=gs1e
It looks silver and seems to be a match I think. And it literally just clips on with no extra work needed? That's good at least
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GRHRTEU/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm running this on mine. I did have to grind about a 1/4" channel in the bracket for the lip on the windshield frame as well as elongate both holes by about 1/8" to get it to fit, though.
It vibrates a bit and has a bit of a whistle above 40mph, but I can't hear the whistle once I get above 50 anyway.
So this would be fine then right?

I have these, I like them pretty well. Adjustment can be a pain by yourself, but other than that...
If you have a TJ or jk, I like the rugged ridge mirrors. They come in round or square and the brackets boot to the existing windshield holes.
https://www.amazon.com/Rugged-Ridge-11025-10-Release-Relocation/dp/B0054RW1HE
[I have these] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0054RW1HE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VC-yzb2SC6CTX) they work pretty well, but maybe a little small.
Here. Note that this is power, but not heated. You could also check a junkyard.
Ya. For instance here is a power non heated mirror for your car.
Rugged Ridge 11025.04 Black Mirror Relocation Bracket - Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001FAK28E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3l8CxbA82MYEF
Is what I bought and use on my JK Sport. Work just fine and a few bucks cheaper
09 rubi ! I have had it for just a few weeks now but its my 3rd wrangler. I keep coming back to them.
The mirror is 8 dollars from O'reiley auto parts, Just take the bottom bracket as shown the pic below and bend it to a 45 degree angle, buy a 5/16 bolt and run that through the door hinge and bolt it to the mirror bracket on the side you bent. Take off that rubber clamp shown in the picture. I will post a how to album if people would need.
Total cost - 9 bucks.. I payed so much more for the same thing from olympic on my old jeep.
(edit for spelling)
