Cyclops Thor 130W spotlight

Now you just have to be sure to do 5 under on the highway so everyone's afraid to pass you, then pull up real close on people's tails making them think they're getting pulled over.

Oh and install one of these.

So it is actually a 3 part ordeal.

The actual fog lights since my car didn't come with them, and the stalk. Then I did some c-shaped drl since I have leds in my high beams and the factory drl doesn't work with leds, but then the c-shaped drl didn't work for a little bit so I bought the drl turn signals, and then the previous c-shaped ones started working again. I will just post all of my mods below:

I had my rims done by a local company, they are the factory 16" painted gloss black. My mazda emblem is actually a long story, but essentially it is just scuffed up with sand paper ready to be painted but I liked the look and stuck it back on the way it is. I have also installed car play, and 3D printed a shift knob. The factory bose system was a little lacking and put a small under seat sub in to help fill the sound, but am still not happy with it, so that's a future project.

Some near future plans for the car include the aero kit, and I'll post the links to those here too:

Remarkable Power MZ733E-C 2014-2016 Mazda 3 Fog Lights Clear Lens Bumper Lamps Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FL8DPWU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6A7xzbWN36XM3

This is the kit. I wouldn't say it's OEM quality, and I can't give it a full review since I just got it yesterday, but it seems all good right now. The lights are nice and bright and worked right away. You'll also need the light control stalk that has the fog light switch, which is also plug and play.

This is the video I followed for the install.

You can buy LED bulbs for your fog lights that you can switch from white to yellow. You just turn them off and back on to switch from white to yellow. They are much brighter than the factory bulbs too.

Any time buddy, might want to strap a couple of these on there as well.

My smartassness aside, thats a seriously sweet bike.

u/Tmcgla · 2 pointsr/4Runner

I put these on the front of my truck. I have 2 in combination with a 10 inch light bar so I can use them as spot lights if needed. For the price they are very well built and nice and bright. They've had a few waves of muddy water and currently have a layer of ice frozen on them and turn right on no problem.

Duck vortex is such an awesome name. I'm guessing it spins so fast that the curious ducks fly by to check on it and get sucked in by the vortex and drown in the pond, so then at the end of the day you just have to send your dog over and carry back a pile of dead ducks?

Also, here's some helpful duck insight: Why do ducks have flat feet? (To stomp out fires.)

Why do elephants have flat feet? (To stomp out burning ducks.)

Ok, real advice: You only want on/off control? Then you could buy a premade remote that operates a relay. I'm guessing the wiper motor runs on 12V, so find a remote that works with 12V. Like this one from Amazon. Make sure it's latching (one press on, one press off).

Then it's as simple as hooking your 12V battery to the remote receiver and running the power for the motor through the receiver's relay.

The hardest part will be figuring how to make a waterproof enclosure. If you buy a large airtight tupperware container and then use cable glands for any wires that come in and out, I think that will be good enough.

Edit: Crap, I forgot. Put fuses on both circuits.

I put these in my 2019 SE a couple of months back. They look great, and the lamps seem well made. You'll like them better with aftermarket LEDs though.

This Rear Rack works well enough. But as u/rmsmoov would quickly point out the B&B Offroad Rear Rack is way sexier.

In consideration for me are (in no particular order) :

You can always add this inline with your ignition. Although most Jeep thefts are going to be from flatbedding, rather than hotwiring.

I have a couple of locked toolboxes in the back, and I wrapped some thick steel cables around the roll bars and locked them to the toolboxes. That seems to keep crackheads out of them, but I wouldn't call it high security.

Aftermarket options are available on Amazon. For example:

CarLights360: Fits 2007 2008 2009 MAZDA 3 Fog Light Assembly Passenger Side w/Bulbs - Replacement for MA2593112 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PG43Y9L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ZcVEDb9MVNYR9

Or maybe this: CarLights360: Fits 2007 2008 2009 MAZDA 3 Fog Light Assembly Driver Side w/Bulbs - (CAPA Certified) Replacement for MA2592115 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PH8LBS9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7eVEDbDCFE920

Another option is to remove the light assemblies. The car isn’t required to have fog lights.

Got them from Amazon at about $10 each. I have a ton of these lights and they work great. They are pretty durable and out of the 9 that I have, only one of them has had a single LED go out. So not bad at all!

u/do_work_son_do_work · 1 pointr/ToyotaTundra

it seems to have all good reviews, the ones from rock auto are pretty nice too, you also try to measure the opening and see if you could fit something like this, I have a 23 inch led bar between the fog lights and two square ones in my rear bumper, ill ask my sister to grab pictures for me as the truck is sitting at her house while i'm away.

u/AIH805 · 1 pointr/ToyotaTacoma

Haha nice! Nah just went with oem toyota projector fogs.

u/Cathartidae · 1 pointr/tipofmytongue

I think this might be a contemporary version
It is light shaped and has the leg system you described as far as I can tell.
I am having trouble finding an older version, but hopefully this is a start.

u/brzcory · 1 pointr/flashlight

I'm thinking you want something like this? (you can find those from Rigid for $150 on Amazon, make sure you get the "Spot" pattern, I don't think a flood would do too well for that environment).

The cheap knockoff version of which can be found All over Amazon, but I can't speak to their quality too much. Co-worker had a big knock-off bar on his jeep, and it seemed to function well, but the high-dollar ones that my rally team uses are much better (and way more expensive).

u/SilverLiningMacBook · 1 pointr/SubaruForester

Yeah they replace the bulb. Got them off Amazon a year ago and they have worked great

here is the link, $22

u/ratn9ne · 1 pointr/Jeep

The question is how directional do you need them to be? These will put out a ton of light and they are cheap, I've never seen one break either. http://smile.amazon.com/Gizmo-Light-Power-Tractor-Degree/dp/B007ZGBLNW/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1398453010&sr=1-2&keywords=led+spot+light BUT the light is all over the place.

u/Hulsey · 1 pointr/ToyotaTundra

Headlights are great. New, so I'll let you know if they have any problems soon.

I got these for the 4" fog lights. 2 Amber(switch) and 2 white (fog)
They are plenty bright but came with a mounting difficulty since they are Jeep.

u/AverageGuy16 · 1 pointr/4Runner

@R3n3Larana here you go guys. Hopefully this is something you guys pick up, thinking about doing the same myself.

u/Jeffah1996 · 1 pointr/subaruimpreza

Here is the link but I would strongly recommend that you put in your vehicle to check fitment before ordering them since yours is 15 years newer than mine haha.

Awesome.

Do you think I can get away with Xsprite LED fog lights? I know the build quality is not amazing, just don’t want to spend a fortune.

The reviews appear pretty stellar:

There are no drop-in for the fog lights. But there are LED bulbs that work great.
