Yes, a picture showing up in a google search because it's titled 86063ctmc.jpg is clear proof of some grand scaling ruse.

Baring in mind that 86063 is only on your radar because of an obscure tweet by Kojima where the number appeared in a picture. Much like every other number that has appeared in pictures tweeted by Kojima that you have clung to, it is wholly irrelevant. One would think that every "date" you pulled from Kojima tweets coming up wrong would teach you this lesson. Evidently not.

You're deluded.

Here, this is also an image titled 86063

Metro must be in on the Ruse too!

Oh damn, even some random wallpaper website

And Roy Hodgson. Can't forget him.

>Flip the numbers from 86063 to 39098.
http://smashcustommusic.com/39098

That isn't even the first result when you google those numbers. You're using custom Smash music as proof of a motherfucking ruse now???

This is the first result for 39098

39098 is also the post code for Ludlow, MS.

Typing "39098 Metal Gear" into a google search confirmation of a ruse does not provide, with your confirmation bias having ass.

Oh shit. Onimusha is involved in the ruse as well, 39098 is in this URL Title!!1111!11!

Just a $15 kit and 2 hours can make a huge difference, I could not believe it.

It runs on an air compressor. I know you can buy the whole 3M kit on Amazon but it doesn’t offer everything I use. But it will get you what you a good portion of what you need.

There's two 3M kits. The $14 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System and the $16 3M Lens Renewal Kit. Looks like the more expensive kit is a 4-step process rather than 3-step and you get maybe some different pads and some masking tape.

This [stuff](https://www.amazon.com/Rain-X-800001810-Headlight-Restorer-oz/dp/B0049GI418/ref=sr_1_16?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1473464873&sr=1-16&keywords=headlight+restore
) is great. it takes a few coats to get it perfect. it last a good time too. did it on my f150 about a year ago and they still look good.

And it is less than 6 bucks on amazon.

I wouldn't say he got ripped off for the actual work that was done, which sounds quite reasonable - i.e. you got two new headlight units.

However, I wouldn't say that the work done was commensurate with the both the problem that needed solving and the value of the car - I'm guessing the total bill came to around £400?

As /u/NBALegend said, you could have polished them up with a kit like this one from 3M.

This is one of the reasons why going to a council-run MOT test station is a good idea - they won't try and push you into getting any failure points fixed there.

I'd add that if it's been sat for three years, he probably should (if he hasn't already) put some new tyres on and give it a good service (oil, filters, brake fluid etc).

Hey all!
I recently bought a Meguiar's kit along with some of their microfibers and a "Water Magnet" in order to do my very first detail. My car is a white 2000 Subaru Outback and I was looking around stores and saw that Meguiar's offers a wax specific to white vehicles. I was wondering, is this just a marketing ploy or will it actually improve the end look of my car over the "Gold Class Carnauba Plus" included in my little kit. Thanks in advance for any help!

I've never used one of those auto shop provided services, but I have this kit and it worked just as well. Took me longer to find the key to my drill chuck than it did to clean my headlights.
