Until your baby starts grabbing things and opens the safety pin and pokes themselves. But when they are super tiny and new this might be ok. I wouldn’t recommend it though.
Here’s a link to 6 clips for $7, they aren’t that pricy if you’re on a budget, and much more safe than a safety pin on a baby.

You might try something like a munch mitt - kind of eliminates at least half of the coordination issue and it might give her hands time to heal while still allowing her the ability to chew/suck.
Neither have you.

My husband and I went to daycare on our daughter’s birthday to sing a song at snack time. I remember feeling like it was totally silly, but the teachers were genuinely excited to celebrate and it was very sweet. I think it’s totally unnecessary to give anything to the class, but if you decide you want to, here are some ideas —
Someone at our daycare gave out these teething rings as a “party favor.”
Someone else gifted everyone little rubber ducks with a note that said, “I’m a lucky duck that you celebrated my birthday.”
Piggy backing on this because we have tried several necklaces and my daughter has found one she loves but now I can't figure out what strength it is. It is the orange twisty one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CMTLTRB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Anyone know how to get more of just this one or to find others with similar strength/texture?
My LO loooooves these:

Very nice!
But I hope that has a breakaway snap on it, 'cuz that bad boy will make a helluva noose in an accident.
well.
I don't know about organic, but my nerdy self LOVED the fabric choices by 'greenleafbaby' on Etsy. (I got LO a harry potter and a star wars one lol) They were really great quality, and the back is the 'minky' fuzzy fabric so it's comfy against LO's skin.

For teething: Motrin AND tylenol on hand. On bad nights you can alternate them to overlap doses just a little, since they're different active drugs. Motrin lasts longer overnight, too. LO used his bink mostly, and had 2 teethers, but didn't really care about them (room temp OR cold). this was one of them: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077VLC1F9/

What a little cutie! Happy to hear surgery went well. :)
Kind of off-topic, but how do you like that pacifier? It looks like this one, which I've been eyeing on Amazon, so just wondering if it's a good option for a newborn!
Ah, ok he is a bit young then. I would consider trying a sturdier pack then. Let me get a link for the ones we used.

These are pretty sturdy, all one piece and a solid silicone, but still with a little give. The material is similar to what the chews are made of, only a little softer.
I thought he was older for some reason, but at 3, it is better t let him stick with a routine he is comfortable with until he can get more services to help him cope.
After looking trough about a dozen shops I have only been able to find the pink ones:

This item is also suggested as a replacement; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075FRS2LD
I got a pack of three on amazon for $7.99. Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BRCLWYS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Poor baby, teething is terrible! I hope you get through it soon and everyone starts sleeping! I get told I'm mean all the time for sleep training, but I am a MUCH better and more patient parent when I get some fucking sleep.
Here's the teether things we have, they are fantastic! https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B076H1ZQ5M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
