This is the one I recently got and I love it. It's 29 bucks now, but that thing is huge (and it's double sided!) and I'll never need to buy anything like it ever again. It can fit 96 colourpop singles. I just use my colourpop palette for traveling since you can use them as z palettes as well.

Here:

1 The lightest, flimsiest, and most natural looking - would be an everyday lash for me if I was in a client facing position. My top choice for learner lashes because they are cheap and non irritating, and can take enough of a beating

2 A bit fuller, band is slightly more durable. I like the way these look more than 1, but they are a little bit harder to learn on.

I'd stay away from these entirely because they are absolutely the worst things to work with, and I can usually slap on falsies in about 2 minutes - these take 10 minutes and a bunch of cutting and trimming. band is super inflexible. awful.

good luck! shipping time kind of sucks and is sporadic, i've gotten them within a week or forgotten and see a surprise a month later...

My recommendation is to not buy cheap eyelashes. They tend to be really sharp on the corners and will likely stab you. And seriously spend a month wearing them. They take a decent amount of time to get used to. Find a glue that is right for you (I HATE DUO).

Here are some of my favorite lash brands:

House of Lash

Oh My Lash

Dolluxe

Dolly Wink

My favorite eyelash glue. It dries in 10 seconds (DUO is 40-60 seconds)

DUP Eyelash Glue

The other awesome thing is cheap eyelashes from Amazon, like 10 pairs for $2 kind of cheap. I buy style 0, they look the most like natural. If you wear glasses and find that lashes usually hit your lenses, these are the perfect length. The trick to putting on eyelashes without having your own is to anchor the outer third of the strip first. You hold onto the center of the strip with tweezers, lay the outer corner first, then let go of the strip completely (they shouldn't move) and grab the inner corner with your tweezers and slowly guide the rest of the strip onto your eyelid. If this doesn't make sense, let me know I'll be happy to make a video for you. With the secure hold glue, make sure you let it get a little tacky before applying. About thirty seconds should do it.

I've never bought one, but I've actually been considering a new XL one. The only thoughts I had about the brand before now had to do with the products being overpriced. Now I can absolutely say I won't be buying from the company.

I have a couple small magnetic palettes but now I want just a huge one on my vanity so I can have the option to put everything in one "home". I was considering something like this one that I found on Amazon. Does anyone have advice or suggestions for cheaper alternatives?

u/NonsensicalSteph · 8 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

The red bow on the headband gets my vote.

I've got a certain style of eyelashes in mind. Lemme see if I can find.

EDIT: Like this, but for the love of God please trim back the bottom lashes a little so you don't look like a spider.

u/Chibimarukitty · 8 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

Just plain ol’ Duo eyelash glue :D

u/Caracature · 7 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I love this concept, I hope it catches on as a trend here! I would recommend defining your eyes a bit more, even with a deeper shadow pressed into the upper lash liner. I also really love these for bridal and I actually just used them on a wedding party last weekend that really loved them! Congrats btw!

u/LizzWizz · 7 pointsr/muacjdiscussion

My fav eyelashes are Christina Eyelashes WSP and they sound similar to what you are looking for! They really don’t add any fullness just length and I find them so easy to apply because the band is flexible. here is the link if you are interested

u/Woodnote_ · 5 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I agree with /u/IvyMonster. Amazon cracks down hard on any sellers that don't provide genuine products. I've honestly never really paid any attention to who I'm buying from if it's available with Prime, and if it's not then I'll check the sellers ratings. I have no recommendations for sellers, but I pretty optimistically don't worry about fakes.

Good brands to start with are the Etude House I Need you mask set, or Innisfree It's Real mask set. It gives you a nice variety at a decent price.

u/artoo710 · 5 pointsr/BeautyGuruChat

It's Adept Cosmetics. Either their site or Amazon

u/paranoidandrea · 4 pointsr/PanPorn

You can use something like this to get the product out and then maybe put it in a clamshell or something pretty airtight.

Edit also I just remembered someone suggesting to put the tube in some hot water and the product will all sink down, so you can get a little more that way.

u/YEAHitsEMILY · 4 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I absolutely lost it when she posted this .. like, as IF I pay 10 bucks a pair. Haha, ordering these this weekend forsure! I feel like I'll get more use out of the lashes included in this pack.

u/Calpy · 4 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I just recently became obsessed with Ardell Demi Whispies! (There's tons of different versions, but I get these because they're so affordable and they have a flexible band!) They look so natural and most people can never tell if I'm wearing them.

I used to struggle a lot with getting lashes on as well. Tips that have helped me are:

  • Lashes with flexible bands, pls. You don't want it overly flimsy but you want something that you can easily bend. I find that lashes with an invisible band have this type of flexibility.

  • Make HELLA sure you cut the lash so that it fits to your eye. I never used to do this and my lashes always looked so funky. I can't express how important this is to getting your fake lashes to look natural and sit well on your eye!

  • Let the glue sit on the lash a few moment so that it gets tacky. This is pretty standard info, but it really does help with placement!

  • Combing your lashes downwards with mascara before applying falsies helps so much! Especially with curlier lashes. Obviously if you have straighter lashes, it won't work the same. In that case, I would suggest curling them and then lightly combing them down. Very lightly!

  • Tight lining your lash line in either black or brown depending on the colour of your falsies. It'll make your lashes seem thicker and make the lashes look more natural.

  • I have no idea how to describe this, but I always come in at an upward angle when applying my falsies (as in they're point pretty much upwards. It looks ridiculous), and then position them downwards afterwards... It ensures that I get right on the lash line and that my annoying curly lashes don't get in the way. Works like a charm for me.

Welp! That's all I can think of... I know it's fairly standard info. Hopefully it helps?!

I've heard you can use eye tape to make the hooded eyelid match the non-hooded (double hooded?) one.

Edit: There are tons of videos on how to use eye tape.

u/AspiringAddict · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Pick up one of these and use it with demi lashes or full strips cut into sections. I'm pretty good applying falsies with my fingers but I am amazing at it with this thing!

u/mamacat49 · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Exactly. Some of that stuff is crazy expensive. I'll cut just about anything open to get to the end bit. And these little, tiny spatula things help, too.
https://www.amazon.com/599801-Beauty-Spatulas-Black-Piece/dp/B07DVZY5Y5/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=tiny+makeup+spatula&qid=1568148251&s=gateway&sr=8-2

u/crazycatlady1296 · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

You can buy this spatula on amazon- very cheap. It’s to help make the most out of your product.

https://www.amazon.com/599801-Beauty-Spatulas-Black-Piece/dp/B07DVZY5Y5/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=makeup+spatula+tool&qid=1568172106&s=gateway&sprefix=makeup+spa&sr=8-3

Hope this helps! There are several other options too. I bought a similar one a few months ago and it works perfectly!

u/wucylen · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I started wearing falsies everyday since maybe february and haven't looked back! I buy these in bulk

http://www.amazon.com/Pairs-Handmade-Natural-False-Eyelashes/dp/B006GKHIHQ/ref=pd_bia_nav_t_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1ETSKR6PY14E61NH07E9

I can use a pair for up to 2 weeks if I'm careful/don't get drunk and ruin them. They are so natural looking no one ever suspects a thing ;) I usually have to cut the ends a bit cause they're too long for my eye length, plus it's more natural looking if they don't span across your entire eye from corner to corner. Let me know if you want me to post a picture of me wearing them or anything :)

u/jyggchan · 3 pointsr/AsianBeauty

DUP eyelash glue, have the exact same one~

u/junkiegirlfriend · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I'm not sure of the cost difference!

I've been using this 4 pair pack of Ardell Demi Wispies off of Amazon for $9.20. I've been using this pack for 2 weeks, and have used up 3 lash bands. I re-use the lash pieces a couple of times, whereas I would always throw the individuals away because I would coat them with mascara for more volume! One pack of individuals costs $9.40, and I would get less uses out of them I would think.

u/newheart_restart · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006GKHIHQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They're actually cheaper than I remember! They're a little weird to get used to but actually really nice once you do. You can only wear them a couple times though. And I'd carry around a little extra glue since the thread thing that holds them together is pretty flimsy.

u/MillionLights · 3 pointsr/AsianBeauty

Try some aloe or green tea masks! I haven't tried very many brands but I love Etude House I Need You sheet masks. Someone just posted a PSA of them on sale at amazon here

edit: These have slight fragrance to them but it's not strong or annoying

u/capslion · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

These cheapo lashes. They're natural enough while still being glam lashes, and I like that the band is clear to help disguise that you're wearing falsies.

u/lildrummerliz · 2 pointsr/Trichsters

I'm still doing research to find the best ones. Someone made a post about these- I haven't tried them out yet, but I will!

I'll be stalking this thread for more ideas - thanks for hosting!!

I'd say my number 1 item under $5 is NYX Butter Lip Gloss in Raspberry Tart because the color is gorgeous and the formula is better for my busy mornings at work.

The second most favorable item would be these lashes because falsies are the one thing I've yet to master and I could use all the practice!

The 3rd item would be this blending sponge because I've yet to try one.

blepharoplasty is not something to take lightly,
if you are serious about the procedure, you might be better off (as someone else mentioned) going to korea or thailand for the work (medical tourism is huge in both countries and they will have clinics set up with wholly english speaking staff that exclusively take non locals) the whole cost of flights, hotel and surgery is usually much less than the cost of getting it done locally since it is a common procedure there (as compared to calgary)
before you do commit to such a face altering surgery, you might want to discuss it with family, while they might not say it, it can sometimes be considered disrespectful to remove such a racial characteristic (or that you no longer wish to look like them) at least try a couple of moths with eyelid tape or glue

EDIT: Eyelashes on my wishlist as a prize if I win

u/crisbehr · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I started wearing false lashes in August and I practically wear them on a daily basis now! It's all aboout practice and finding the right fit.

  1. Trim your lashes to fit from your outer corner to like 5mm away from your inner corner or more if it's comfortable for you.
  2. Place them on your lash line to figure out how you're gonna position it.
  3. Put a thin layer of glue on (I use kiss envy glue or duo lash glue) and dab a bit of extra on the outer ends.
  4. Let the glue dry a little and get tacky, when it starts to go a little transparent or blueish in tinge it's ready.
  5. Close your eye or almost close it and look downwards into a mirror, stick the middle part on with tweazers as close to your lashline as you can
  6. Align and stick down both outer corners

If it feels comfortable, you're good to go! Don't be afraid to remove your lashes, clean them and re-apply if it feels off.

I was going to link that thread below but I saw somebody already posted it. But anyway, I bought the adept cosmetics palette after reading searching several options and I really like it. I don't know how large of a size you need but this one is very large and cheap for the size. The magnets in it are nice and strong and the clear divider in the center is thick. I believe I've depotted about 7 palettes and a few blushes into this, and still have a bit of space left over. I was also interested in the makeup forever ones but they are out of stock a lot.

u/DisturbingLullaby · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Those look exactly like the 2 dollar eyelashes I got on Amazon. I really like them.

Does she use any skincare (not makeup, but lotions, etc) currently? Ideally we suggest things based on a person's skintype, current products, etc.

A good bet would be some sheet masks - a paper mask with a serum on it you use for 20-30 minutes - they come in a variety of flavors and are one-time use. Unfortunately, you're cutting it close and most of whats available in a timely matter from amazon will be Korean/Taiwanese (if she's picky about japanese stuff).

Some amazon options are:

u/bmoogle · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

Not sure on the brand for the lashes you have but D-UP is a pretty popular japanese eyelash glue brand-also white-ish out of the tube but dries clear. They also have their own false eyelashes.

u/emerilise · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

Pretty sure it's http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006GKHIHQ These are very, very natural looking, in fact you might not even see much of a difference when you have them on, it just makes your lashes look longer. Hopefully these are the ones your coworker was wearing. I know they come in different styles, but you're probably going to have to look for it on amazon.

u/Jnnlopez · 2 pointsr/beauty

  2. Mmmm, for my dinner two days ago I went to a buffet and ate everything. Salad, steak, mac and cheese (the cheesiest kind ever), dessert, slurpee's.

  3. Can I put things that add up to 20 or no? If not you can just pick one of the things: Lipstick organizer, Lash glue, Lash holder thingy, and lashes! It all equals 20.36 with shipping and all things I've been lusting over!

  4. Babies have a reflex called the Calming Reflex and it's super interesting the things you can do to trigger it and just make the baby become super calm!

  5. Flash This!

Depends on your personal taste, eyeshape, makeup style...
I like the Ardelle Wispies:
http://www.amazon.com/Ardell-Invisiband-Lashes-Glamour-Wispies-Black/dp/B0035LCW4I/ref=sr_1_2?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1374473586&sr=1-2&keywords=wispies

If you are looking for something even more natural these could work and are pretty cheap:
http://www.amazon.com/Pairs-Handmade-Natural-False-Eyelashes/dp/B006GKHIHQ/ref=pd_sim_bt_1

I also think brands like NYC and ELF sell $1-$3 lashes that look fairly natural.

u/MajesticPensiveTall · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

They're strip lashes, so they're not too difficult to put on. But they're shorter than regular lashes, which makes me feel like I don't have caterpillars glued to my eyes. And the lashes themselves are natural looking. Here's ones I have, I bought them in a 4 pack on Amazon.

I put them on with clear-white Duo glue. The only issue I've run into with them is that the strips were a bit too long for my eyes, but trimming the band is common and super easy.

They're not hard to put on, once you get the hang of it, you just have to make sure you get them as close to your lash line as possible.

I copied and pasted these directions directly from the Amazon page:

>Check Fit. Align band with natural lash line to check fit. Trim excess if necessary. Apply a thin line of adhesive along band. Wait thirty seconds for adhesive to set. Apply Lashes and secure lash band by pressing onto lash line.

u/monkeywhisperer · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

i'm not 100% sure what your troubles are, but if you're talking about your eyelid crease moving down causing a "monolid" at times, potentially eyelid tape might be what you're looking for. http://www.amazon.com/D-U-P-Wonder-Eyelid-Tape-Extra/dp/B000V2F6BU
instructions for how to apply: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zKvZBK2QKQ

if you're talking about reducing puffiness in your eyelids, a cold compress for 10 minutes at a time might help you out. cold causes vasoconstriction and reduces edema, kind of like icing a sprained ankle. wrap your ice in a towel and no longer than ten minutes without taking a break though; you don't want a frostbite. to prevent puffy eyes, you can think about elevating your head on more pillows or even elevating the head of your bed to reduce the amount of fluid that collects in your eye area.

u/Goodnight_Gromit · 2 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I just bought this from Amazon and am quite happy with the purchase. 20 sheet masks from Etude House for around $30. Probably not the best deal but I'm just starting out in AB.

Hey!
I know going straight in with surgery might be a big leap, especially if you're not sure about it.

I think a great less permanent 'fix' or 'trial' (which eventually becomes permanent I believe?) Would be double eyelid stickers.

https://www.amazon.com/D-UP-Wonder-Eyelid-Extra-UPD/dp/B000V2F6BU

You use a small tool to stick the sticker in the crease of your eye and it holds your lid up giving you the double eyelid look. In your case, it may lessen your eye irritation and let you decide whether or not you like the look on yourself.

Honestly it's really up to you if you want surgery. I'd at least give these a shot first. There is probably a bit of a learning curve (I've never used them myself) as with any tool, but if you can get it, keep using them :)

No prob! It's just funny that I've been having this problem recently and have just had my eyes look equally for two days now.

The make-shift "tape" I use: http://www.staples.com/Post-it-1-2-Flags-with-Pop-Up-Dispenser/product_SS975428

I basically cut one strip into around 3 curved ones (like these ones http://www.amazon.com/Eye-Charm-Charm-Double-Applicator-40pairs/dp/B000VS6GCM).

You have to experiment on exactly where you put it on your lid--it's easy and you'll figure it out! :)

About the tape, I only used the post-it ones, because I didn't want to buy the eyelid tape ones. I have two other sets of these sticky markers (one from Daiso and the other from the dollar store but they don't stick as well as Post-It).

If you decide on buying anyway and that you don't have these post-it tabs at home, I think you should just get the eyelid tape--then again, you'll just experiment first--so maybe buying it without knowing it'll work isn't such a good idea... Anyway! The bottom line is that what you need is something that will really stick and is thicker than the normal Scotch (transparent) tape. I think the thicker magic tape would work too. If your eyelid tends to get a little bit oily like mine, put the tape on after shower/washing your face.

If you have any follow-up questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

The Christina #WSP lash has been my favorite for everyday wear for the last few months! I also love Koko lashes in the style Queen B for something more dramatic. (:

Buy these! I have them and holy crap are they worth the money. You will have to get some glue (I suggest Duo non-permanent) but the lashes are easy to trim down to your length and if you mess one up you've got a whole bunch more!

I've used the full tapered set and the set that looks like it has points with a smokey eye. Love them!

My favorite creepypasta, the one that gives me chills and keeps me up at night every time, is Ted's Caving Page. Some spoiler-ish background on Ted can be found here.

The scariest incident I ever had, personally, was when I was telling my kids a spooky story before bed, and I had the sudden absolute certainty that someone was staring at me. I looked across the bedroom and saw a face, as if an elderly woman was laying on a bed directly across from ours, staring straight at me with wide, startled eyes. I looked away and tried to ignore the feeling of being watched, figuring it was a trick of the light or my mind. When I told my husband about it, he said "Oh yeah, my grandma died in that room. Her bed was right up against the wall opposite where ours is."

WELL GREAT THANKS FOR THAT INFORMATION

my under-ten: studs, dolls, or lashes if you please!

edit: Booooo

I think they are actually pretty good. Got some short ones and medium ones, and some really thick ones that are thick as hell. They look really cool with heavier makeup.

That's what I got. I'm happy with them.

In dollars, this is $8.71

Target had the duo glue for less than 5 bucks (or around 5). I have a fancy ELF lash put-er on-er and I didn't use it, just some tweezers. Just be careful when taking them off so you don't rip them in two : /

this stuff

Target had Ardell too, a tiny bit cheaper.

I just started playing with falsies. I grabbed some from Walmart for cheepsies and managed to perfect them pretty quickly.

[I just bought this.] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WW1AOE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) It's super affordable and if you (or I) screw anything up, there are ppplleeennntttyyy more left over.

I have to use latex free eyelash glue and I use the one from Kiss. Also found at Walmart. I've slept in them a couple of times, (twice and only because I crashed at my friends place after a night out), and they were still on just as if I'd just put them on.

I tried a blue green yellow look but I hated it. I decided to try to make a bright look I might actually wear outside. So I went with a bright sun theme, and used yellow and orange. http://imgur.com/a/Niu5g

If I won I would get some lashes and learn to put them on. I put some cheap ones on for this pic, and it was a disaster. Thanks for hosting!

I bought this one. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004WAGFQC
I absolutely love it and it's worked with every brand I've tried so far, including shellac. If you just want it for a base coat though you can get an LED light which generally cure faster and don't need bulb replacements as often. I've heard great things about this one. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GMQDN64/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?qid=1422567015&sr=1-8&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&dpPl=1&dpID=31dZ7N-2fkL&ref=plSrch
From what I've seen you only really need UV if you're going to be using hard gels to do thicker overlays or nail sculpting. Hope this helps!
Edit: I realized there are a few UV only base and top coat brands, shellac being one of them. I use Gelish because I found it to be a much glossier top coat and works with LED.

Spooky scary - Item

I wish I could dress up this year for halloween but I'm going to be at a convention (dressing up as anime things). :C But if I could dress up I'd go as Esmerelda and dress my cat as a goat, haha. I've always loved the Hunchback of Notre Dame and she's my favorite female lead. :D

false lashes never last very long because of the layers of glue from reusing and putting mascara on it or what not so don't feel the need to spend $$$ on high end falsies (unless they look like bomb like Shu Umera) . you can get a box of 70 at amazon! just make sure to clean off the glue if you want to reuse.
