If all you want is to replace seals and fluids then, yes, $250 is crazy. Maybe there was a misunderstanding of some kind. Or they thought you wanted new bushings and other parts as well and were just giving a high estimate. Or they just quoted total cost to ship to RS and back with full service. I can't be sure.

But if your suspension works fine and just needs some new fluids and seals then you should do it yourself. If it is developing real problems, has worn/loose bushings or adjustments that don't work then it is more difficult.

Servicing your fork and shock shouldn't be very hard. Most require fairly basic tools (hex wrenches, rags, rubber mallet, ratchets, etc). Some shocks may need a vice, strap wrench or other things. Proper tools are best, but you may be able to improvise some things if you are careful. Suspension fluid is pretty cheap, especially if you go to a motorcycle shop instead of a bike store. Google around and find the service manuals and how much/what weight of fluid you need.

It looks like you need this service kit. It says 2012 on the page but the part number (00.4315.032.020) seems to be good for 07-12. Probably this one for the shock. Part number 11.4115.067.000. So about $40 in those parts and maybe $15 for fluids and such. I got the part numbers from bti-usa.com and googled them. I think those are the right kits but check for yourself.

Is this what you're talking about? Because the circled bits are removable and can be swapped out for the correct eyelet hardware. Assuming that the eyelets themselves (with the spacers removed) are 1/2", then you can measure the old shock hardware and order the correct parts from here. In theory, you should also be able to re-use the eyelet hardware off the old shock as well.
