Here you go for the Honeycomb. Nordic Ware are amazing and the cakes look great! Just got the square bunt at a closing Williams-Sonoma, one of their most famous one would be the swirling bundt pan.

This may not be what OP used (since the picture seems bigger) but you can use these to make Chocolate D20's

It's a Betty Crocker Bake'n Fill , or at least two pieces of one. I remember because the commercials for it ages ago were annoying as crap!

u/kaidomac · 10 pointsr/instantpot

>It didn’t turn out perfectly flat, but man it was delicious. Topped it with the Instant Pot Dulce du Leche.

On that note, if you don't mind spending an extra buck per cheesecake, they sell fancy cardboard trays like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Tebery-10-inch-Premium-Cardboard-Scalloped/dp/B07LD5JFPF

I use a 6" Fat Daddio cheesecake pan in my IP (edit: I see you use the 7" model, nice!), the one with the removable bottom: (soooooo much easier for cake removal!)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012Q5QQ4

I make a lot of cheesecakes for people's birthday's & stuff; with IP compotes like blueberry or cherry, or roasted strawberries, or Samoa cheesecakes, etc., you don't really have to worry about it being perfectly flat because the extra goodies will cover the top! Plus the cardboard bottoms let you pop the cheesecake on it, decorate it, and have toppings fall off the side without making a mess everywhere. That way there's enough room for topping spillage, cutting, and removal, plus it's easier to carry to work or the dinner table or wherever!

Like these things:

You put food in while on a plate -> push it down, then add layers. Then push it out and it's supposed to look "cool"

I made some Keto Chow Banana Bread! It was pretty easy to make too:

  • I melted 70g butter in the microwave and then put it in the freezer for 5 minutes (so it wouldn't cook the eggs).
  • Add 15g vanilla flavor, 4.5g baking powder, 0.75g pure sucralose (from Amazon)
  • 3 servings (186g) Ricotta cheese (Walmart)
  • 3x Banana Keto Chow (137.61g) (the massive white section in the 3rd picture above :)
  • 6 eggs
  • Beat with electric mixer on lowest speed, and then bake at 350 until the top is hardened and there is no jiggle in the middle. Use knife trick to confirm done.

Total macros for 3x Keto Chow bread: 1600 Calories | 110g fat | 14.31g net carb | 129.48g prot -- Funny note, I ate the whole thing at once in attempt to do an OMAD (one meal a day) and WOW that is filling. I could almost FEEL the Leptin rising in my body hahaha. It took me almost an hour and a half to eat. Super, super filing!

The only other cool thing that I absolutely LOVE is if you notice in the pictures the purple baking strip. I got it on a whim to test (based on this video) but it really does make a difference. You soak this fabric strip thing in water, wrap it around your preferred baking dish, and it makes things bake perfectly evenly. This is because it prevents the sides of the baking dish from heating up and causing the edges to bake faster than the middle (which makes it rise). It is the "Wilton Bake Strip" off Amazon. Non-affiliate link here in case anyone is interested. P.S. I got my cheapo mixer off Amazon, and the silly red silicone loaf pan off Amazon too. Yes I like Amazon! :)

I'm a super noon too. I used these but this isn't the exact size. I won't know that till later.

I don't even have a processor to whip the cream cheese all together. I used my magic bullet lol

u/1cecream4breakfast · 4 pointsr/cakedecorating

Get these cake wraps! Total game changer! I used them on my last layer cake. No dry edges and perfectly flat top. You soak the wraps in cold water for a few minutes, then wrap them around your cake pans and bake! I have no idea how it works so well but it does. No issues getting them out of a well greased/floured pan, either.

The only downside is that since the cakes don’t have the slight crust on the outside, they’re a little more fragile when handling. Just flip them onto wax or parchment paper so you don’t have to handle them directly.

That is the exact pan I used, it's a little smaller than what the recipe called for but it worked just fine. They were good! I plan on adding more salt next time and maybe some cinnamon or vanilla but as you wrote, it was a good base line!

"Misfit! This is a true emergency! I hear some noise under my window and I am afraid it might be a monster! Please hurry! It is right where our trash cans are so it must be some sort of trash monster!!"

Sure, The Science Lab is cake made with half of one of These. The Assembly machine is two layers of cake. I made a 9x13 cake and cut two squares that were about the same size as the base of the science lab and stacked them. From the leftover pieces of cake I made the bodies and arms of the inserters. The transport belt and science packs are pure frosting.

I love my 8qt. Here are the accessories I use the most:

  • Silicone Lid (If you make a big pot of soup, you can just throw the lid on the pot and toss it in the fridge, so handy.)

  • Replacement Sealing Rings (Helpful to have extras, especially if you make desserts and you don't want them to smell like curry.)

  • Egg Trivet (I make a lot of hard-boiled eggs and I like being able to stack them like this.)

  • Fat Daddio Cake Pans (I love using these for pot-in-pot.)

This is the one that I bought. It was $18.99. It appears to have gone up in price.

I have one, it's a special pan, kind of like a bunt cake mold.

I would highly recommend Ateco as a brand to focus on. I have been using my Ateco stuff for years and have yet to replace anything from them.

I would personally avoid Wilton like the plague but I know a lot of people love the brand. I find most of their stuff to be too cheap and flimsy however. With that said, the first thing I ever got was a cake decorating kit by Wilton. I used it a bit and then switched to all Ateco all the time.

As far as stuff I would recommend here you go.

Chicago Metallic Cookie Sheet

Chicago Metallic Muffin Pan

Ateco 10 piece star tip set

Ateco 10 piece plain tip set

Ateco 55 piece decorator set

Ateco 12 piece gel color set

Fat Daddio's 6x4 cake pan (this is perfect for smaller cakes, I use it when making cakes for the missus and myself)

And then of course there is the expensive stuff like a mixer and all of that.

Hope that helps. Also, sorry about the Canadian links, I have some of that on my wishlist so it was easy to get the links that way.

I used a spray like PAM except it was olive oil instead of butter. I find when I use bottled oils or melted real butter, I also have the sticking problem

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Olive-Oil-No-Stick-Cooking-Spray-7-oz/10315915

It seemed to work well. Left no chemical aftertaste or anything.

Also, I think the anodized aluminum pan helps a lot with that

Here is the link to the pan I used as well.. If you buy it, make sure you DONT buy from any of the sellers except MMP Living. I went through 4 other sellers and got fraudulent pans which were wrecked inside of a week. They all sell crappy Chinese knockoffs. Check the comments section on the site and you'll see the complaints.

JUMPIN' JEEPERS

My favorite scene is from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I'm always saying, "Who said anything about slicing you up, man?" to my SO. haha I don't know why I like it so much.

I would love this mini donut pan. :D

u/MCubb · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Awww hope your week gets better fast! For now though, you should totally get yourself this pan to make Cake-sicles!

Super awesome looking!

I'd LOVE Harvest Moon if I win!

Thanks for the contest!

I've made cheesecake that came out perfect in mine. I got one of these. I made the cake and then threw the whole pan in the fridge overnight with tinfoil over it and a plate underneath. The next day it pushed right out and it was as firm as you'd expect cheesecake to be.

  1. [How the what in where?!?!?!?]

  2. I'm sort of embarrassed this is on my wishlist...NSFW Super Sonico figure! >.< It's just so cute. But also...other things.

  3. Cards Against Humanity is hilarious! And very NSFW. Don't bring it to the work meeting. It's great for parties and friends.

  4. I like it when the OP chooses, so there's nothing I really want to specify for you! But, for your convenience, here's a BD&A amiibo Question Block Case that I want!

  5. Here's a penis cake pan. Enjoy.

  6. Sixth? SIXTH? THE DEVIL!

Is it okay that my NSFW wishlist is marked like this: 'Figures! (some nsfw)' ?

anyone use or see any issues with using anodized aluminum baking pans as fry pans on a canister or alcohol stove? like this

u/newtonslogic · 1 pointr/AskCulinary

OK obviously you'll need to adjust to make your little pies since this recipe is for one large one.

First off the chicken.

Easiest, Best Roast Chicken ever?
Get a whole roaster 6-7 lbs. Bake at 500° uncovered for 10 minutes per pound. No more no less. Remove from the oven, tent and let it cool.

Meanwhile on to the rest of the recipe.

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup chopped onion

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 teaspoons poultry seasoning

1 3/4 cups chicken broth (this is a good time to use the juices from the roast chicken too)

1/2 cup milk

2 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken

2 cups mixed vegetables

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 425°F. Make pie crusts as directed on box for Two-Crust Pie using 9-inch glass pie pan. Cut pie crusts to fit your small pie tins. An extra large biscuit cutter might do the trick depending on the pie tins. I have some large round molds and desert rings that I had in my restaurant that would work better. LIKE THIS

If you have the patience you could flip your pie tin upside down on the pie crusts and trim around with a knife. But we're talking production here, so faster is easier and better right?

  2. In 2-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion; cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until well blended. Gradually stir in broth and milk, cooking and stirring until bubbly and thickened.

  3. Stir in chicken and mixed vegetables. Remove from heat. Allow to cool completely. Spoon chicken mixture into crust-lined pan.Top with second crust; seal edge and flute. Cut slits in several places in top crust.

In your case you'lll want to bake just the bottom crust in the pie tins until they just turn golden brown. About 10-12 minutes. Take them out and allow to cool then fill with your pot pie mixture and top with more round trimmed out pie crust. Seal the edges and freeze.

  4. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown. During last 15 to 20 minutes of baking, cover crust edge with strips of foil to prevent excessive browning. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

I left the original directions in case anyone reading this wants to use this recipe to make a regular chicken pot pie. It's so much better than the stuff from the frozen food aisle. We're talking Thomas Keller good.

If I were to attempt a spherical pizza I would use this. Cook the two half spheres then bind them together somehow. Maybe melt them together with more cheese!

I used a darker honey - it was a thyme flower honey that I got from Greece awhile back. And wow I did not know that sub existed - subscribed!

This is the pan I used. Happy baking!
