Top Reddit comments about Soundtracks:

Wrote a FAQ without spoiler. Since someone here might have same questions as before I copied/pasted from my previous comments :

Q: How many volumes are the LN?

A: 5 + 1 extra episode. and a sequel (5 volumes)

Q; What is that sequel?

A: It is called Sukamoka abbreviation of "Syumatsu Nani Shitemasuka? Mouichido Atte Kuremasuka" = "What do you do at world end? would you mind to see me, once more?". Here: https://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/asin/404104040X/f2664t19-22/

Q: Will the anime adaption cover to Vol.5?

A: Most probably no. It will cover to the end of the Vol.3. The LN author emphasizes that the anime adaptation is “a story of Chtholly”, and not of “Chtholly and Willem”. And he also said that he intentionally changed the orders of the title of each episode from volume 3. His remarks: https://twitter.com/a_kareno/status/865637937068650497

Q: So do we have season 2 for Vol.4 and 5?

A: It depends on the sales of BD/DVD. But currently the BD/DVD sales is miserable. So I don't expect that the publisher will invest for Season 2.

Q: I want to see season 2! What we can do?

A: 2 things you can do.

1, Buy BD/DVD as soon as possible (they will review the sales and determine the next project around Sep). Me? I already booked 3 complete boxes of BD.

2, If you want to have the 2nd season but not for buying BD/DVD, still you can help - send feedback to the LN author or publisher. If they have got numbers of request they can appeal to their boss. I feel that Sukasuka is a type of anime which is more popular in overseas than that of Japan domestic. If they get numbers of the feedback from overseas they have to reconsider.
Please remember, THE LN WAS ON THE VERGE OF CANCEL ONCE BY VOL.2 BECAUSE OF THE LOW SELLING BUT IT WAS REVIVED BY THE REPUTATION and therefore we now can read the Vol.3-5 and able to see this anime adaption. So, the voice from you does matter for anime season 2. No need to write in Japanese, use your own language. The tweet: https://twitter.com/sukasuka_anime https://twitter.com/a_kareno/

Q: I love the music/songs during the show. OST?

A: OST will be released in 7/12. https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B06Y5SY754

Q: Is there English translation of LN?

A: The fun translation is close to the end of vol.5. People recommend to read the PDF/EPUB rather than the html to avoid spoiler.

Q: Is there manga/comic adaptation?

A: Yes. But slow pace. Currently it is around the end of episode 3 of anime. Only vol.1 is available. http://amzn.asia/7FLeEoF

UPDATE: vol.2 will be released in 6/23

Manga author: https://twitter.com/chimakikaname

Q: The OP is different among episodes?

A: Yes. 1, the color of the letters of the title. 2, the red flash back scene. 3. the color of the ribbons in Elq’s world.

Q: What is the break-bumper indicate?

A: the pattern of the break-bumper is : blue x [ moving wings x3 color patterns + no-moving wings x3 color pattern ] and then red x [...]

UPDATE: The latest one: https://twitter.com/animisc/status/875032516633141249

Q: Is there a wall paper?

A: Animating wall paper of the break-bumper http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=928378517 The author of this: https://twitter.com/Shino_E8D3D1/status/865929899323736064

(for the previous episode - episode 9)

Q: I like Ithea, are there more episodes?

A: There will be an audio-drama of Ithea in BD/DVD vol.5. Original script.

Q: What was the brown thing for the gift to Willem?

A: The gift to Willem is TAWASHI. Scrub brush or scrubber. It means you got a consolation prize.

Q: What is the title of the insert song when Chtholly get onboad?

A: “I call you”, will be included in OST.

Also, the individual songs of the second soundtrack are available digitally on Amazon for 99 cents a song. Link

I'm regretting not picking up the vinyl.

Edit: Oh hell yes, it's still available on Amazon. This is the 20-track version. The full 31-track 4x LP version is a LOT more expensive and harder to track down.

Edit 2: The "basic" box set is still available from the record label. This one doesn't include the CD or slipmat, and the vinyl is black instead of red.

Edit 3: Found the original 1993 soundtrack on vinyl (72/100) for $400 on eBay. Enjoy.

I love how Ash and Eiji’s theme is titled “Him and Hym”. ;) Lots of really good tracks on here, enjoyed listening to it the past few days.

Dont forget Amazon Japan.

With Sleeve Bonus

Regular version

Get it for less and faster than SE NA/EU store(except UK and France it seems).

Also Amazon JP ships your CD in a box unlike SE store which uses a padded envelope.

u/wickedseraph · 2 pointsr/BananaFish

I actually ordered directly through Amazon.jp for the soundtrack. Making an account is actually quite easy, and there's an option to have Amazon translate the relevant information into English.

I ordered it with no difficulties from Amazon.jp, and it arrived quickly with no difficulties :)

u/countrpt · 2 pointsr/ffxiv

Soundtracks you can also get on Amazon JP. For instance, here is the Stormblood OST:

https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B07CZZJ24B/

It's listed at 4047 yen, which is about $37 USD, but they will also remove the 8% Japanese consumption tax when you ship internationally. Shipping will also probably be cheaper and faster than the SE Store. Depending on your country they might set money aside to cover import taxes, but that should generally be a reasonable rate too.

I've bought all the FFXIV soundtracks from Amazon JP over the years and never had a problem.

u/Thisisamyb · 2 pointsr/vinyl

I ordered mine on Amazon (blue vinyl, not signed). I ordered it on January 9th when it said it was temporarily out of stock and I received it on January 16th. Right now it's showing as being back in stock on January 29th. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N3ZQEZY/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hrm, well I see a tracklisting and it says "LP record" in the descriptions for the other two. [Image album] [Sound book] If they were just companion pieces to the soundtrack then I would think that the tracklisting would be the same.

Hi! For the physical disc Amazon Japan has it here and can ship internationally (But you need a specific account for Amazon JP even if you have one for Amazon.com).

It's always a little bit wishy-washy with Japanese CDs/soundtracks and iTunes. There hasn't been an announcement about any tracks being available even for iTunes Japan right on June 7th the release date, but everything does show up there eventually. Here is season 1's.

Currently out of stock but it looks like it exists?

u/HalfwayHoagie · 1 pointr/DCRebirth

DC Rebirth is difficult to define, but I will do my best.

It is in the vein of some great DC stories that came before, Flash Rebirth and Green Lantern Rebirth. Which were both triumphant returns to a well loved and established status quo. The first, Green Lantern Rebirth, started in 2004 to retcon the events in the 90's where Hal Jordan killed all of coast city (I think, I'm putting these details out off the top of my head). The second, Flash Rebirth brought back Barry Allan as the Flash.

Neither of these stories are directly tied to DC Rebirth, and I consider them spiritual predecessors. And, confusingly enough, the Rebirth line of books had a flash book and a two different green lantern books. So it can all be a bit difficult.

Anyway, DC Rebirth starts with DC Rebirth 1 and this book is 80 pages, and reestablish's the pre-New 52 continuity, also called the Post Crisis era. If you don't know what that is, let me do quick general breakdown.

  1. Era 1: Pre-Crisis (1940-1986)
  2. Era 2: Post-Crisis (1986-2011)
  3. Era 3: New 52 (2011-2016)
  4. Era 4: DC Rebirth (2016- )

Most of the stories you are probably vaguely familiar from DC are from Era 2 and 3. Era 3 allowed DC to create the DC Universe brand new, getting rid of almost all previous stories and character developments. Era 4 rebooted everything by bringing back into reality the history of Era 2... now we can get to the cool stuff.

We still don't know exactly what caused DC Rebirth, but the going guess is that Dr. Manhattan of the Watchman Universe invaded the Reality of the DC universe and made small changes. There was a small 4 issue crossover between the Batman books and the Flash books called "The Button" (Batman #21&22 / Flash #21&22) which brought us some additional story details. Now there is an ongoing 12 issue series (currently at issue 9) called Doomsday Clock, and it is the story of the collision of the characters from Watchman into the DC Universe.

Beyond that there was a major event from 2017 into 2018 called Dark Nights Metal, which was a crossover between many books, and had it's own stand alone series. You can find the full reading list here, or the collected editions are linked on wikipedia here. It all a little over the top, and they even had a tie in sound track of metal music to go with it.

One of the fun things about comics can be digging through box's to find those single issues, and usually find them pretty cheap. You could probably find almost all of the stand alone issues from the Batman and Flash books, as well as the Dark Nights Metal link above, across a couple of bigger comic shops in your area. Likely that no one shop has all the stand alone issues, when they sell out they are gone, and shops generally don't get more. Try that out if you are interested in the idea of the collecting the original material, and it could save you money (depending on the cost of some issues) to buy the singles rather than collected editions.

Other than that, if you are interested in any stand-alone character titles, or just want to know more about where DC is right now, let me know.

Not sure where you live, but Amazon US and Canada should be getting it. So far, it shows up as unavailable on both sites...Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy: Primary Phase (Original Soundtrack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D3GJXFQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_nancBbBMER2FK

u/Archive_06 · 1 pointr/Doom

There are two editions that I know of.

The cheaper one has two red LPs with the main tracks.

The more expensive one has four red LPs and a Doom slipmat (and the cover has a pretty kickass gatefold) as well as the soundtrack on CD. I’d check which edition is for sale because $50 for the two LP version seems like a stretch.

Edit: You can get the double LP version off Amazon for $40 here and as far as I know, the 4 LP version is no longer in production.

Oh, I still haven't listened to that one (you are talking about this, right?). What do you think about this thing? I'm satisfied with their first CD.

u/tianxia · 1 pointr/VinylDeals

Oh wow when I clicked your links, I am sent to the amazon.jp pages. There's way more detail on their pages than on the American ones!

Let's take a look at the Amazon.jp page for the soundtrack.

We see that there is a matrix number on the headline: TJJA-10015. This is information not apparent on the US page. But we also see on the Japanese page the ASIN number. It is B07GPY62DW.

If we return to the US Amazon page I linked, the ASIN number is also B07GPY62DW. This seems to indicate a match.

Now to go further in depth, using the Amazon.jp link we can look at the track listing. I count 20 tracks. I'd like to see if these tracks match up with the 1988 25AGL-3058 release. I am using this discog page for reference. Just by comparing the Japanese characters on the Amazon tracklist with the characters on the discog tracklist, this also seems to indicate a match. I think that's pretty cool.

So, what do we know? We know that the US Amazon page I posted is for a "My Neighbor Totoro" LP with an ASIN of B07GPY62DW. We know from the Amazon.jp link, the LP with the same ASIN has a matrix code of TJJA-10015. This LP has a tracklist that matches with the information listed on discog for the 1988 25AGL-3058 LP. The 3058, to my current knowledge, is the soundtrack. This leads me to believe that the 2018 TJJA-10015 is a re-release of the 1988 25AGL-3058 LP. Cool.

Now here are my own personal concerns:

The US amazon page's track listing does not match with the 3058 album. The US amazon page does not have the TJJA-10015 code.
It may be possible, that for some reason, whatever is being sold on the Amazon.com (US) market is not what is being sold on their Japanese market. But I highly doubt it.

The ASIN stands for Amazon Standard Identification Number.

It is their own ID system. So, I tried taking the TJJA-10015 ASIN from the Amazon.jp page, and searched for it on the US page. The result I was given was the same link I was posted.

Here's more info on the other options:

The Image album only has 11 listed tracks with the ASIN B07GQW28VM and matrix code ending in 10014.

The Sound Book has 10 tracks, with an ASIN of B07GPXY376 and a matrix code ending in 10016.

I am confident that my post refers to the soundtrack. But I also recognize that the US Amazon page may not have an accurate track listing. Any hesitation due to this discrepancy between US and JP pages is understandable, and to all those hesitant, I encourage them to practice due diligence and see for themselves. If I am mistaken, send me PM and I would gladly edit for clarification.

Tl;dr - All three versions have different track listings, and different ASIN's. Chances are my post is for the soundtrack with a TJJA-10015 matrix code, that seems to match with the 1988 25AGL-3058 release.
