I just got [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Alpha-Industries-Parka-Black-Small/dp/B0058YZQE8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408413206&sr=8-1&keywords=alpha+industries+parka) jacket for winter in Michigan. It's really warm and the quality seems really nice. And it's the brand the U.S. air force uses, so it's probably pretty good, plus I've seen it recommended on here a number of times before.
https://www.amazon.com/Next-Level-Apparel-6440-Premium/dp/B00I2U4JTI/ref=pd_aw_lpo_193_lp_tr_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=2ND28S8HV4N920P062W1
I'm close to your size. 5'11" and 150lbs. New to MFA and trying to look nicer. My office is casual dress, so I'm not wearing ties or anything, but here's what I've recently done.
I used to buy large size shirts/polos from express. Unfortunately, all of them are way too big after learning the way on MFA. So I've recently started updating my dress with some of the following things.
Red Wing Heritage Beckmans
These ran me just under $300 from a red wing store (they have a $20 off coupon on their website here )
I'm still breaking these in and having a rough time of it. One of the boots fits great, the other is horribly uncomfortable. I'm going to take them in to see if something is wrong with them, but if they don't get better they have a 30 day unconditional return policy.
Allen Edmond Sedona Penny Loafer I really wanted these to work. I like the look, and figured I could wear them with jeans at work or with shorts after leaving. 12B's were too loose, 11.5B's were too tight. The salesman said these particular penny loafers just don't work well with my narrow feet. I'm now trying the Made To Fit program at Rancourt. Hopefully they fit better.
J.Crew Factory Oxford The weekend I went I must have gotten lucky because it was 50% off everything in store. I don't think that's too common, though they did just have a 40% off sale. J.Crew Factory is their outlet store. Haven't shopped at the regular one. I bought several of these shirts. The smalls fit me best, but the sleeves were uncomfortably short. I know I could just roll them but I got the mediums since they didn't look bad either and could be worn with sleeves rolled or not. I always tuck in the oxford shirts, they don't look bad un-tucked (they do have tails but not horrible long ones) but you'll look more put together if they're tucked in.
Banana Republic Dress Shirts I think mine are the tailored fit, but honestly didn't check in store. I just tried some on and got what fit. The small size here fit me very nice. Sleeves are perfect length but I am a little worried they'll shrink. I was told in store they were pre-washed. They also had a 50% off sale at the Factory outlet store, thought I think this is pretty common at BR. 30 day price match policy for future sales. Just keep the receipt.
Mossimo V-Neck Tee I wear these as undershirts at work and by themselves with shorts after work. Some people say not to wear undershirts, but I like to just because it keeps me from having to wash my buttom ups as often. These are pretty tight to the neck v-neck's, so they are visible under the button ups. Size small fit me nice and snug. They were on sale for $8 last week. Target has a 14 day price match policy if they lower the price after you purchase them. You need your receipt.
Levi 514 Slim Straight Jeans I was used to wearing express jeans, but lately the crotch area didn't fit right and they usually had pretty crazy washes. Everyone here will recommend more of a taper in the Levi 513 but I didn't feel comfortable with those yet. Maybe in 6 months or so I'll try again. I just got them from Macy's. Can't remember the sale. Got 32x32's. Tried 31x32's but they were VERY tight in the crotch. IMPO quality and consistency in sizing varies quite a bit. Try on every pair. I got a pair of 32x32's that were 1.5 inches shorter than the others. Ridiculous, though they are cheap jeans to get started with.
I try not to wear polo's anymore. After starting to pay more attention to my appearance and watching other people, I realize that almost nobody looks flattering in a polo. Just my opinion though.
This might be more casual than what you were looking for, but hopefully it helps someone!
https://www.amazon.com/fashion-wolf-underwear-boxers-shorts/dp/B01ERC3PWQ Do it, life is too short to not have a wolf face on your dick.
Thompson Tees. They'll change your life, just like they did mine. Two fits and three styles: crewneck, v-neck, deep v-neck.
My armpits are like a faucet and I've never sweat through one of these.
I'll go ahead and give you examples of those items that I enjoy:
Jeans) Many options to choose from, but I really like my American Eagle slims, although there are tons of decent quality and affordable jeans out there (Levi's, Hollister, Gap, Old Navy, etc.). Don't get hung up on the fit designations, instead try on many different fits and see what works best for your legs. I think most people here would say that pants should follow the contours of your thighs without being tight (I like to make sure I can grab at least a little fabric behind my thighs, otherwise the fit might be too tight). As for your lower legs I think that there should be at least a little bit of a taper, definitely avoid anything with a wide leg opening.
Tees) Next Level tees are awesome. As a tip, it seems that tees made from cotton/polyester blends tend to fit better than straight cotton, and cotton/polyester/elastane tees can be very nice as well. You can sometimes identify these shirts if "stretch" is in the item title.
Sneakers) You simply cannot go wrong with Vans. A minimal sneaker that looks good with so many pants, be them shorts or jeans. Be aware that Vans are not the best shoes to walk long distances in, so you should also have a stylish athletic shoe in your wardrobe. I'd recommend something like Nike Lunarglide 8s or Zoom Vomero 12s since they look fairly fashionable but offer great cushion and support. For a kind of hybrid between running shoe and purely casual shoe, something like Nike Roshes can be nice.
Feel free to PM me if you have any other specific questions!
There is only one field jacket and its his name is M65. Alpha industries makes a very nice replica and they fit tall folk. Get one size smaller than you wear. As an example of what they look like http://www.amazon.com/Alpha-Industries-Mens-M-65-Field/dp/B002VWK5UK/ref=pd_sim_sbs_a_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1A5SWG0P8GJT1CGQSEZW.
carhartt beanies are nice and pretty cheap. Tons of colors. http://www.amazon.com/Carhartt-Mens-Acrylic-Watch-Hat/dp/B002G9U38W
dude
These are really comfortable and are nicely fitted. I've got like 10 of them in different colors.
EDIT: I OVERDID IT!
Anyways, among the ones I've listed, the ones I think look best are the Alpha Industries M-65 Field Coat, Orvis Heritage Field Coat, any of the L.L. Bean coats, and the Blaklader jacket.
It's now 2:30 am. Good night!

Here's a list of relatively affordable ones I found around:
Schaeder Ranchwear
Carhartt
prAna
Dockers
Rothco
Alpha Industries
RedHead/BassProShops
Cabela's
Orvis
L.L. Bean
Beretta
Powder River Outfitters
Blaklader

I bought these and they fit/work great.

This. But I believe it's David Archy (with a Y). Seriously, I've done the MeUndies thing, I've tried ExOfficio, but these are my favorites by far, and they happen to be the least expensive. Wearin em now, they rock.

I for one think there can never be enough alpha on your shirt but everyone under estimates the under wear. https://www.amazon.com/fashion-wolf-underwear-boxers-shorts/dp/B01ERC3PWQ Just look at the way the snout shows the bulge.
Anyways. After a long hard day of choreplay I like to chill out with the alcohol free beer my wife has approved for me. Really hits the spot.
The hunt for a fall jacket continues. Can someone recommend a sub $100 jacket like this minus the front pockets?
I also like this - what do you guys think? Any other recommendations for olive/tan Harringtons or minimalist field jackets are welcome. I like bombers but don't like how poofy they are, so something with a slim silhouette is also welcome.
Was going to say the same thing. I get mine off amazon

It's a field jacket.

I feel like it's not well known enough how fantastic Next Level Apparel plain T's are. So soft, cheap, awesome fit, especially if you're in ok to good shape. Check them out on Amazon.
Also going with a gf this year after 3 straight yrs of attendance as a strong independent young man. I'm sneaking in a mini flask of vodka (plastic, lightweight) each day in these festival briefs I found on amazon. They have a deep secret pocket down the crotch that can hold a bunch of stuff. FYI Buy the grey ones, the black ones stain ur balls i hear.
https://www.amazon.com/iHeartRaves-Stash-Boxer-Briefs-Small/dp/B00F5J6X70/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499893530&sr=8-1&keywords=festival%2Bbriefs&th=1
I can easily spend $75-100 a day on drinks and I'm sure as hell not paying for two people this year. we can both throw them back and like to get our freak on. highly recommend this route to reduce the # of drinks you have to buy. for your wallet's sake! :]
Looks just like this gray pair of 514s I just purchased.

24 of them for half the price and at least twice as many:

Strict as fuck. Went to the DOTD last year and felt like I already got busted as soon I walked up to the front gates. So many many cops. I suggest you in invest in stash boxer briefs

Also, amazon has a 20% off deal until tomorrow.
Without getting into the raw denim world, you could try:
All of these should have longer inseams to fit your needs too. I'm not sure the belt loops will be any different though.
My suggestions from time spent on here:
These three things all work as birthday gifts, they're all returnable, and they all look good on most guys. Check them out and let me know if you decide to go with any of them.
Man here, but I want to chime in and say that while expensive, these are the most fantastically comfortable underwear my junk has ever had the pleasure of hanging out in. They also look awesome, and my girlfriend loves them.
It's not quite the same, but for rugged jackets, I'd look at a real M-65 field jacket, and get the button-in thinsulate liner. Mine is an actual issued item, and the quality is top notch. The fabric is extremely abrasion resistant, and they are in style now. It should last for a great many years.
You can't get issue ones outside of camo, which I'm sure you don't want (if they issue them still), but Alpha makes a very good product from my experience with other items. Here's their field jacket - ignore the main photo's goofy sleeves. They have a fold-down flap to keep the wind off your hands, and the model has this down, and the arms out to the largest setting, so it looks very goofy. Propper is another good brand, often US made.
Like a regular Carhartt or other chore coat, this also will be a bit bulkier than most fashion-conscious people will want, so I'd look at hitting a tailor after a while of wearing it. Taking out the hood will allow the collar to slim down a bit, pockets can be sewn down, etc, to streamline the look.
Do the SocklessLook's only go up to shoe size 11? Bummer.
I've been happy with these, which are extremely popular and well reviewed on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MWOETN6/
iHeartRaves Hide Your Stash Boxer Briefs (Small, Grey) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F5J6X70/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_94fyxbBEG2DYS
Where does the fault lie?
Did you drop your pants on the counter, pick up your ticket and deuce out? You = fault.
Did you drop your pants on the counter, say, "Look motherfucker...these are here for dry cleaning" and deuce out? Cleaners = fault.
Do know you will NOT be getting 5 x $125 back from the cleaners....you are lucky to clear $100 on this deal. What I'd do is invest in some pant stretchers...get them janks wet... install stretchers and let them dry to fix them. https://www.amazon.com/Pant-Stretcher-Heavy-Instant-Stretch/dp/B00AZNK1RO/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Z6BTXD76W1GGH5PA86Y8

These really work wonders, in fact they work TOO well that my underarms become overly dry, so I started using a goldbond lubricating antiperspirant in combination and now its perfect. I can even play ping pong in the resident lounge before rounds and i won't sweat through my dress shirt. Best of luck.
Some sizes/colors qualify for 20% off when purchased through Amazon.
I'd start by solving your seam-chafing problem and go from there. It's hard to say for other underwear because most trunks/boxer briefs do in fact have the mid-seam, but the difference is that they do a much better job of supporting your junk and keeping it in place, so less movement= less chafe. And regardless of seams or not, they will probably feel more comfortable so long as you pick good stuff.
Obviously you could spend more time shopping about, but those I personally own and like. But no two dicks are the same. Everyone should be picky about their underwear. But, I'd go with #1 since you're used to boxer shorts.
Btw, these are the exact same thing but cheaper, they're my go to uw.
https://www.amazon.com/David-Archy-Underwear-Separate-Pouches/dp/B00CB77RG0/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=david+archy+modal&qid=1557166142&s=gateway&sr=8-4
These might also work, but I’ve never purchased these for anyone.
It depends on what it is that you're looking for. In terms of basic tee shirts, I cannot recommend these enough. Cheap AF too.
Ah, alright, RES was just defaulting to showing the whole gallery. Different story when I click on the link.
http://www.amazon.com/Levis-Mens-Slim-Straight-Jean/dp/B0018OQ93Y
Look at these in the standardize wash, see if that's what you're looking for. Looks pretty similar to my eye, but I'm not well versed in light wash jeans.
Found it by searching Amazon for "wolf" while I was looking for stocking stuffers! They also have an eagle and tiger version. Link.
I go through underwear fast (daily training + laundry service shreds them), so I buy inexpensive trunks. Got these recently, satisfied so far: https://smile.amazon.com/David-Archy-Separate-Pouches-Trunks/dp/B00CB77RG0
jesus christ- this one has more or less the same specs (I think it's a bit better actually) and it's at a reasonable price point

I'm on a tight budget so this might belong in fmfa, but any advice would be helpful. I'm really working on basics right now but I'd like to retire the uniqlo jacket soon. The ultra light down isn't super warm but it works ok with a hoodie. I'm not sure what to buy next, I'm thinking more tees from JCF in black. The mediums varied in size a bit but not too bad. I'm thinking 5 more t shirts and another AA hoodie in purple or red. Not a huge fan of the 511 skinny but they fit pretty good, want to try straight version next. Still waiting for the 484 chinos to get here, I'll snap some pics when they arrive see what you guys think.
What I do when buying jeans is look for tapered fit. Like Levi's 508. The leg opening is still small so they look fitted in the calf but have more room in the thigh.

An Alpha Industries N-3B parka?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0058YZQE8
Would this get me through the depths of a Chicago winter? Would it work over a daily wardrobe that is mostly biz caz?
so I suffer from underarm sweat badly. Winter, fall, summer it does not matter ill probably start to swear from the pits.

A hat stretcher with an extender is sometimes used for this. See here for an example.

https://www.amazon.com/fashion-wolf-underwear-boxers-shorts/dp/B01ERC3PWQ. About $18 for 3
Oh, so like my underwear?
You don't need to spend $150. Spend $40 on a pair of Levi's and another $5-10 on getting them hemmed.
Weirdly enough the Levi's US site has a directory page for 508's but has none in the actual store. They are, however, on US amazon in nearly every size for nearly every color.
Camelbak should be enough. You could also try stash boxers or cargo pants/shorts with buttons or zippers on the pockets.
Yup.
Also, run an iron over the ends of the collar prior to adding the collar stays.
This. Best fitting pair of tapered jeans I own.
First thing that popped up from a Google search:
http://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel-Collar-Stays-Shirts/dp/B001YK4GNC
I got these on amazon. They're cheap(ish), metal, and come in multiple sizes for my different shirts.
I just bought this one off amazon because i was looking for a new lighter summer jacket and because it sort of reminded me of nate's jacket...

[for the lazy] (http://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel-Collar-Stays-Shirts/dp/B001YK4GNC)
personally I like calvin klein boxer briefs. But if you're on a budget just get hanes. Also be mindful of the length. If you wear fitted pants the boxer briefs with roll up. That was the problem with boxers for me, all the bunched up fabric whenever i pulled my pants up.
I like this one

Frugal =/= cheap.
It's a quality piece of versatile outerwear at an almost unheard of price. This is going for maybe $50 more than the oft recommended Alpha Industries and is arguably a higher quality piece.
This sub is all about getting deals on clothes, whether dirt cheap or a $700 field jacket. Deals may fall outside the budget of some users, but that doesn't mean they aren't frugal.
[David Archy](http://www.David.com/ Archy Men's 4 Pack Underwear Micro Modal Separate Pouches Trunks with Fly (M, Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CB77RG0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_rynpDb7W3T9SP) for underwear. A separate pocket for your unit is weird at first but then feels so good!
If you had to pick a real winter coat for Wisconsin winters: Alpha N-3B Parka in Navy or Sage or L.L. Bean Ultralight Down in Gray or Navy. I can't even begin to decide.
I have sweat issues when going out in public, I'm not sure the CBD has really helped. I typically take CBD at night though not right before I go out. If you're talking about underarm sweating then Thompson tees are where it's at, a bit expensive but they just work
My husband is a BDD and I got him some of these David Archy boxer briefs. He says they're the most comfortable underwear he's ever worn. Eliminates sweaty sticking as well.
kind of wondering about picking one of those up myself... although more fall/spring wear ... between sweatshirt weather and down jacket weather... good thread, a few of the ones mentioned are uniform-worthy

you can get them at a ton of places, but that'ts usually where I get mine.
Whenever I would get a shirt that had flimsy collar stays, I would make my own out of a hard but malleable plastic. I've used LTO Tape cases to make a "set" of them, old CD cases (the flimsy ones, not the hard plastic ones) I always wanted metal one, I found these
David Archy Micro Modal boxer briefs with a pouch and flap.. They are fucking great.
Wait for black friday which may include a motherboard or the Ryzen 3500 which is like $200-210 CAD (maybe cheaper) with zen2 and 65w. https://www.amazon.in/AMD-Generation-Desktop-Processor-Socket/dp/B07YZR314W
Apparently this came out in the indian market already and waiting for it to launch in the west.
The 3600 has been the same price for months. Not really calling this a deal.

Carhartt via Amazon Prime
I am 5'11 and weigh 140 lbs. I love 510s for a slim skinny fit. I would try a few pairs on because the sizing and fit will vary widely depending on where they're made. I wear mens' pants a lot because they're long enough and the pockets are deep enough to carry a wallet or large phone.
I'd also try 508s--they aren't styled like this on the model dudes, but 508s are a taper and have a lot more room in the butt area and a skinnier ankle, so they'll fit you closer to a traditional skinny womens' fit if you size down from your normal levi's mens size. High-rise on me.
I've tried on 501s and never like the fit on me, but ymmv.
tl;dr try lots of pairs on.
This shirt jacket. I'm really on the fence about it. I love it but I'm not sure it will look good. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EUHD23Q?pc_redir=1411020003&robot_redir=1
A week has gone by (almost) and per this thread I bought both:
Ex Officio Give and Go
calvin kline micro trunk
Ex Officio is awesome. I like the overall feel and how it wears.
The Calvin klines are okay, a little too short on my rugby thighs so they ride up. I do like their Cock Pouch though, real comfy.
Thanks man! I was thinking about this one:

I'm in Idaho and think it would pair nicely with a trucker jacket or a hoodie for some layer action. Do shirt jackets fit loose enough for that sort of thing?
Read some amazon reviews and decided to splurge a bit an buy these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FEC8WY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here's hoping that they're worth the money, but not so much so that I frown on my current 3/$10 set-up.
Oh gotcha. I'm finding many different results but maybe this: https://www.spotern.com/en/spot/tv/shameless/9978/the-bomber-jacket-beige-lip-gallagher-in-shameless-us or this might match better: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00W3YIX9G/ref=sxts2?ie=UTF8&qid=1480006818&sr=2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
Don't know if you were interested in that Khaki one as well but I think I found one like it for a decent price!
Thanks for sharing, I just took a look at TaniUSA.
A few points:
First, I don't see any underwear like the ones I'm talking about from David Archy (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DYNPG4K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Second, DA does use Micro Modal on many of their products, including the ones I linked to.
Third, I can't pay $45 for one pair of underwear. I'd much rather get the 4 pack of DA's for $22.99 when it's on sale at Amazon.

I have this jacket. Looks just like that one.

these work perfectly if its your arm pit sweat you are most worried about.
Don't know if there's anyway of seeing the number to match... But I think it's these... In Rigid Dragon.
