I bought this one from Amazon

Collagen Peptides Protein Powder

Sugar and carbs are our worst enemy.
My acne and hair loss drop down significantly when I’m on a diabetic and anti-inflammatory diet. However it’s really, really hard to maintain, basically I have to cook all my meals and it’s complicated to maintain the diet when eating lunch outside with coworkers.

I’ve also taken a lot of supplements. My Vit D is finally normal and I feel less tired. I read online Vit D deficiency worsen a lot of diseases. I’m also taking Forcapil for hair growth / prevent hair loss, Elteans for dry skin and eyes and my dermatologist prescribed me Arrebum for acne (it’s for oily skin originally, so I’m not sure if both can works together, I’ll email the brand).
I also started Marine Collagen, apparently it helps with hair growth.

I take hyaluronic acid capsules for fine lines..it plumps the skin everywhere and also benefits the body overall. When I was looking where to buy on amazon I saw this review...it says it all

I take a collagen and hyaluronic acid supplement that makes my skin very soft.

Edit: I actually got them for my mom who was suffering from an arthritic knee. She noticed her skin becoming much more supple and soft. So now her AB obsessed daughters take it daily.

I have problems with my hair from PCOS and I don't want to make it worse with weight loss! My doc suggested BioSil and I feel like it is really helping with the usual breakage I see.

I know people who have also had good luck taking Biotin as well. Hope your doctor visit goes well!

Have you tried collagen peptide powder? I've heard mixed reviews about pills, so I haven't tried them because I'm just atrocious at taking pills every day, but this has become constant in my home, this is my 3rd time purchasing it.

It basically just makes my skin feel stronger and tauter, if that makes sense, like my face is less inflamed or closer to the bone.

I don't know if I can post product link but I'll post it anyway.
It's from 360 nutrition

Absolutely! Your welcome.

I personally chose to take my collagen in capsule form because the powders tasted funny and it was too much maintenance for me. I’d always forget to add the powder to my drink.

Codeage Multi Collagen Protein Capsules, Type I, II, III, V, X, Grass Fed, All in One Super Bone Broth with Collagen, 90 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076V14RBV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_otpXDbJMH81TN

But if you do t mind the powder here’s another one that is highly rated.

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder - Pasture Raised, Grass Fed, unflavored 20 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K6JUG4K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LMpXDbWVHEWPH

I use this rosehip oil and it lasts me about a month.

I am doing IF on weekends + 1 scoop of Collagen Peptides (https://www.amazon.com/Collagen-Peptides-Hydrolyzed-Unflavored-Certified/dp/B073DRGS12) to my morning coffee, but I am not an expert (not much lost yet, but I am trying to start early, if I want to loose 120 lbs and look good).

If you can store the bones in a vac bag/freezer than yes wait. If they will end up freezer burned just go with what you have. You can make a stock with anything the quality of the finished product and where it’s then applicable may vary. You can always fortify stocks like “bone broths” with other bones, aromatic, and water and can add viscosity with Hydrolyzed collagen like this https://www.amazon.com/Hydrolyzed-Collagen-Porcine-BulkSupplements-Skincare/dp/B071G6WKRF

I would highly recommend supplementing silica as well as the suggestions already provided. Silica is needed for tissue health, especially smooth muscle like the bladder. This is what I've taken and I am no longer having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night all the time and my other family members who had incontinence do not have it anymore. I take one twice a day. Also, it is cheaper at my local health food store.

If you guys are interested in trying a collagen supplement, this is made by the company I work for. We manufacture and bottle it in house so it's really inexpensive. $15.95 for 35 servings and 15% off through Friday (7/5).

CORREXIKO Premium Collagen... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QDR3VWJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This is the one I use. Its unflavoured so you can add it to any drink/meal. I used it to make kfc style keto chicken which was amazing. I highly recommend it!

Happy to help!
well different types of collagen do different things, some help teeth, some joints, some hair, some skin. Some types are primarily found in fowl, some in bovine, and some in fish. The types I recommend take a mix.
The one I have now and like, unfortunately can't be found anymore :( I think that company went out of business, but this one is really similar:

Hi! I always highly suggest this Collagen Peptides powder for a few reasons!

  1. It has a great protein:calorie ratio, with only 70 cal for 18g of protein (I’m trying to cut weight while still building muscle, so if you’re bulking, this might not be the optimal choice for you!)
  2. Because it’s not whey-based, it doesn’t have the typical “chalky” protein taste - it’s actually very silky and light
  3. Pretty decent price point for protein, at about $0.85/serving
  4. It’s “unflavored” (kind of, it has Rib A so it has a sweet-ish taste to it) so it can be added pretty non-conspicuously to a lot of things. Wouldn’t suggest water, but coffee, smoothies, and i even bake with it!

I’ve heard orgain makes a good flavorless one too, but is higher-calorie (only by about 40cal per scoop, IIRC). I just enjoy it because it’s nice to break a fast with without feeling heavy and bloated like whey protein normally does to me - also helps me hit my ridiculously high protein goals for the day while still staying within my cal budget!

Hope this long-winded explanation was helpful!!

I just did an Amazon search (I hadn't heard of these either, so thank you!) and it looks like they do come in both pill and powder formulation.

I like this brand: Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides - Pasture Raised, Grass Fed, Paleo Friendly, Gluten Free, Single Ingredient (5oz) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076PL4TM8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_vSlxCbNN0R7H5

They also sell it at Costco.

u/rachelmarie583 · 1 pointr/Accutane

I’ve been taking this collagen supplement daily, I put a scoop in my morning coffee, and haven’t had any issues with hair loss. I also take a biotin supplement daily. Not sure if they’re what’s preventing it, but I’m def not stopping them just in case!

u/misathemeb · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

tried the powder, can't do it. i use these supps and take on an empty stomach!
