Well, I broke out my Google-Fu and did some serious digging.

As far as I can tell, there is no song called Red Eye (or RedEye) by Death Cab for Cutie, I can't find any reference to it let alone recordings of it.There is however a song called Red Eye that they played in March by a band called The Moondoggies.

So I looked them up figuring that radio stations repeat a lot of songs and it's probably the one you list:Youtube has their music videoI don't think they're the song you're talking about though.
