I'm not sure if you can get Pritt Stick brand where you are, but in the UK they seem to be the gold standard of glue sticks.

For a few years my Mum used them for textile swatch samples. (Image, Wiki) Growing up I had as many glue sticks as I could get my hands on!

Even cheaper: Go to thrift stores and look for something made of a fabric you like. Cut it up.

With fabric & traditional spray adhesive, spray both surfaces and wait 3-5 minutes for it to get tacky. When you put the pieces together they'll bond well. You may want to practice on some scrap first--you've got to get it right as you lay it down. Any wrinkles or folds and you're stuck with 'em until you decide to redo it.

To answer some questions:

Yes, they are from Sir Willibald as /u/backstop13 said. The files can all be downloaded free from here, although I had to go here for the Pilot Cards as the file on the main download page was corrupt.

I opened the .pdfs in Photoshop and saved out only the pages I needed as .jpgs to make printing easier. I printed through Staples on 110lb cardstock. I think total for all the sheets I printed was less than $9.

For adhesive I used Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive, which is like tacky glue. Sir Willibald has some great tips on his site for construction, and he recommends double-sided tape.

So far my favorite are the gear boxes - everything fits in there so nicely!

Try using glue. Ive had materials that wouldn't stick until i started using glue.

Heres what works for me:

When you clean the bed use water/some soap. Once a the glue is up you can use isopropyl. Isopropyl wont work on the glue but water based cleaners will.

Don't use safe release. You want plain jane original 2090 blue 3m.

You might get the safe release to stick with a layer of AquaNet ultra/extra hold no scent

https://smile.amazon.com/Aqua-Net-Unscented-Aerosol-Spray-11/dp/B002K33AFM

Or with some purple no show glue stick

But really, you'll want to eventually get a heated bed. Yes, this stuff can work, but you'll spend more on it over time than if you upgraded to a heated bed.
