It just occurred to me; somebody needs to sell a double sided suction cup so selfie chicks can temporarily stick their phones to their mirrors and control the shutter by voice command.

EDIT: Well, somebody beat me too it but that's cool. They're so cheap - $7 for a pack of 10.

We need to let the hot selfie chicks of the world know about these to free up their hands for more interesting things.

u/ErikaTheZebra · 12 pointsr/BadDragon

Every attempt I have heard has never worked. Don't do it. Not worth ruining a good toy over.

However, you can get some double ended suction cups, like These. (These are probably too small, just providing an example) to hang them up with. Other people have had success with these.

These guys. One for socks, one for undies, etc and I hang my bras and dainty pieces on s-hooks in my closet.

u/Ashlynn_Taylor · 6 pointsr/ProductPorn

If someone interested, you can get it from here.

Hey everyone. I figured I would share my new Mat Storage and Display thing.

So as many of you probably can attest, there are a lot of mats out there and storing them becomes an issue. I also wanted to show them off at the same time because... they look awesome.

So I came up with this solution

First, i highly recommend these mat tubes from Blick Art Supplies. They are cheap, fit a mat perfectly, have a shoulder strap. and are see through.

I then ordered two of these Coat Hangers from Amazon for $10 each. They fit the tube perfectly between the rungs and are slightly rounded so that the tube stays put. drilled these into the studs so that they were secure and BOOM. All in this cost me $85 including the mat tubes.

These. I saw someone else recommend them in another thread.

u/Foodyum5530 · 3 pointsr/Cardinals

They sell hooks that attach to walls by an adhesive and don’t do any damage.

Something like this

I use command hooks and I just put some velcro on the back and stick it somewhere on the dash. I also have one on the back of my ram ipad mount so it hangs right below my tablet.

Fyi sensorcon does recommend you re calibrate the sensor every 6 months. You can do it yourself or send it in and they do it for 50$.

And farts contain carbon dioxide not monoxide so it should not have alerted. And how do you know your getting false readings? I used it while mowing my lawn and it got a high of 35ppm. Just standing by the fuel pump when a plane taxis up I'll usually read 4-10 ppm. It's a pretty sensitive unit

Craigslist freezer - we chose upright for vertical space. Chest freezer might work - but you would have to figure out how to hang in it.

Temperature controller - there are lots of options. This one is the Johnson 419. You plug it into the wall then plug the freezer into the female lead. It cycles the freezer on and off at the set temperature. There are cheaper options - but I had this one laying around. I'll link some suggestions below.

The fan is a computer fan with speed switch. I wired it to an old 12v wall wort I had laying around in the parts bin.

Meat hooks are just stainless hooks - again from amazon.

I do live my pit barrel cooker. I would say you may run intoa problem with some meats and needing the hooks to be straight.

Stainless Meat Hooks, Smoker Hook, 5", 4 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0195CE08Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_fO0TCb33QT766

I got some of those hooks too. They help when hanging bigger pieces of meat and trying to figure out how to hook and hang them. Trust me.

Here is my Every Day Carry list.

u/TootsNYC · 2 pointsr/organization

will they hang on a ladder hook? (this one is almost 8" deep)
This one is 10.5" deep.
Or a bike hook? (this one is 12" deep)

Can you post a link to a similar style of chair? I don't know what you mean by "camp chair"; people don't always use the same terms for things.

And, if they're those folding cloth "camp chairs," are they in a carrying bag?

If that is the kind you mean, and if they are all in a storage/carrying bag, then maybe not a deep hook but a row of them. (sometimes labeled a "wall coat rack") (you can make your own from a piece of lumber and inexpensive hooks)

Or, maybe just screw some inexpensive hooks into the stud behind the drywall, in a vertical row, slightly staggered on the stud.

u/Wunderlag · 2 pointsr/hotas

I would suggest http://amzn.com/B00MAZIG6S for the suction cups, i have not tested it, but you may be able to fit the screw of those through the holes in the base plate (with maybe some drilling) and screw it tight with a nut from above.

u/AmateurSparky · 2 pointsr/HomeImprovement

One thing you could do is mount the numbers to a wood block, and attach that to no-hole clips such as these.

u/Claralou · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

While scrolling through Amazon.com I found this awesome gadget. Would be great if you are watching a film on it or you are following a recipe when cooking but don't want to leave your phone on the counter. Or even if someone is calling while you are cooking/otherwise occupied! Just clip it anywhere, answer the call and carry on doing those odd jobs!

The other item you may find comes in handy is this or this

The first key holder is fab for storing mail as well as your keys and the second is one with a saying to remember on your way out of the door everyday! Trust me, when you move house, you will probably forever be looking for where you last had your keys!

u/ScotyDoesKnow · 2 pointsr/interestingasfuck

Not on the same scale, but I have one of these and it works well. It's plastic though.

u/ArtistEngineer · 2 pointsr/shutupandtakemymoney

I never do lose my keys anyway.

I worked for a company who made RFID tags, and associated equipment.

We heard time and time again about people who wanted to do "document tracking". e.g. "there's a document in the office somewhere, who has it?"

Now there are some situations where this is necessary. e.g. where paper contracts get moved around between departments, go from desk to desk, and are reviewed and stamped by each person.

The CEO's standard answer to this sort of problem was quite interesting:

"Do we really think it's a viable business model selling products to people who lose stuff all the time? Are they the sort of people who will be successful in the long term and provide us with lots of business. Probably not."

EDIT:

Anyway, whistle key finders have been around for the last 30 years.

I want an early present!

I'm moving to a new apartment and these would be great!

u/aerofiki · 1 pointr/houseplants

My apartment has pretty terrible lighting and with fall/winter coming on strong in the Boston area, I decided to put together a little home gardening station to help with lighting and movement of the plants for watering. I went into this with the goal of having my setup accommodate most of my small collection of plants and to allow for easy movement without having to mess with the grow lights. In the end, I decided on a cart-based design composed of the following items:

Bror Utility Cart 33 ½” X 21 ⅝” X 34 ⅝” ($99)

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/bror-utility-cart-black-pine-plywood-60333850/

Bror Add-on Shelf 21 ⅝” X 6 ¼” X 5 ½” ($10)

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/bror-add-on-shelf-black-20402001/

Koppla 3 Outlet Power Strip 19 ¾” ($4.99 for two pack)

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/koppla-3-outlet-power-strip-grounded-white-00086428/

2x Hemma Cord Set, Black 15’ 5” ($7.00 each)

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/hemma-cord-set-white-10175810/

(IKEA site only has white showing up now, black was available in-store)

2x Luftmassa Lamp Shade 10” ($17.99 each)

Kasa Smart WiFi Plug Mini HS105 ($21.75)

Relassy 20 Watt Dual Head, Gooseneck, Full Spectrum Grow Lamp ($27.39)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C68N7PC/

2x GE 9 Watt BR30 Balanced Full Spectrum Bulbs ($9.98 each)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NN6SVG6/

4x 3M Command Utility Hooks 3 lbs ($8.99 for nine)

2x Velcro Thin Ties 8” X ½” ($9.70 for 100)

Total Cost (pre-tax): $234.76

u/Vomath · 1 pointr/declutter

I have one of these. Works great to hang semi-clean pants/button ups on. I should just hang things in the closet, but popping something on these hooks is zero effort and I literally never just toss clothes on the floor/bed anymore.

u/saremei · 1 pointr/oculus

I didn't go overly compact, but I did buy a cheap hard shell carry on bag from amazon and some Kaizen foam. Tore out the innards of the carry on bag and cut out slots for headset, touch controllers cameras and even a slot for my 1080 for the times that I don't need to bring a computer, but the computer at the destination needs a better card.

It accompanied me on 6 flights so far.
Here's a link to an image of it before being completed. It lacks the Video card slot. I also added some command wire hooks on the top and bottom inside of the camera half and ran two bungie cords between them to hold the cameras down.

u/RubySapphireGarnet · 1 pointr/January2018Bumpers

I love the song too! I hadn't thought of using it, that's a good idea. I found the leaf thing today actually and added it, great idea though!! Amazon has cute Wall hangers too that I found

Yes, you got it... Anything that doesn't scream "remember how crappy I was at holding up your little stain glass thing ten years ago?" even if there is no actual engineering benefit. An organizer another organizer and another

Welcome! Thanks for the contest!

u/roofuskit · 1 pointr/interestingasfuck

No, it really fucking doesn't. There's a huge difference between a GPS tag that help you find your keys ANYWHERE, and a bluetooth LE tag that can help you find your keys 10-30ft away. Not to mention that the GPS tag is much less practical.

And if a tag that helps you find your keys is all that matters, they had these when I was a kid. It's a little circuit that makes a buzzing sound when you whistle loudly, they made them into keychains.

get a thin piece of wood and mount the converter to that, then use strong double sided adhesive to mount the piece of wood to the back of the monitor. That is what I did and it works really well.

I recommend something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Command-Refill-Strips-Packaging-GP021-36NA/dp/B0751S46TS/ref=sr_1_9

You can get it in different sizes. They are super strong, but you can easily remove them if you ever need to move the mount or decide to redo your mod in any way. They are also super useful for a lot of different things around the house.
