Wear Shoes and use an Anti fatigue mat. This greatly helps your feet. It also gives you a point to re center yourself into your hitbox.

A simple gear tie can completely get rid of the weight of the cable from your head and if you bend the ends in towards your waist a little it holds the wire off your back you don't even know its there. Don't forget Cable is tied to you when you take the headset off.

I modified the feet to take 10mm magnets to be able stand on the 3/32" steel sheet metal. Will upload STL when I get back from Thanksgiving break.

Steel sheet metal was 4.5" radius quarter circle with a Rustoleum Meadow Green Gloss spray coat.

Do NOT get a cobbler. They are a pain to get apart and I haven't used one yet where the top part hasn't all but sealed shut completely. You want a metal on metal shaker. Steel has the best thermal properties and isn't ever going to break.

Command hooks sounds like a very bad idea, but these are the hooks I used on my last cruise, very strong and there are magnets on the same listing that are stronger if you're unsure about these 25lb magnets.

Also, vertical strength (hanging from the ceiling) is gonna be stronger than horizontal (hanging from the wall). With the magnets I got, you only get 1/3 when hanging horizontal, so if your 12lb magnets are the same, you just reduced them to 4lbs, which does sound too light for your wet swimsuit.

The company has a "history of tea tree oil" on their web site that's pretty interesting. You could make your own I guess. I'm just lazy. The only reason I went with these is because I found them on Amazon and they shipped right to my front door. I even picked up a nice steel holder to put my toothpicks in. I like the taste of the tea tree oil. It helps freshen your breath and keeps your mind off smoking.

It looks spiffy and keeps the grounds contained - all you have to do it shake it out over the sink (or dustbust it) once a week or so.

I’ve magnetized everything with optional load-outs, I would highly recommend. I’m about to start on my knight as well, picked up this set of magnets to figure out which would work best.

Oh mine is collapsible! One piece metal straws scare me for that exact reason. When I use a straw I'm usually on a cruise ship enjoying (several) alcoholic beverages... most cruise lines no longer supply plastic straws (they blow into the ocean) so I've got my telescopic straw.

Here you go. They are so versatile. Hold stuff on your fridge like pictures, recipes, etc. Clip bags (chips, cookies, etc.) closed to keep food fresher longer.

I couldn't find the specific model of my favorite noodle bowls, but I'm vary partial to large heavy ceramic bowls like these. If you're looking for something fancy these look lovely, but again I don't have any person experience with that product.

I've been working at home for the past 8 years. I'm in a similar situation as you where I end up spending 10 to 14 hours in front of a computer per day. I was having lower back pain as well. What relieved the issue was switching to a standing desk. I've been using it entirely for the past 11 months (got it setup in January). It's made a world of difference. It took about 2 months to get use to but after that there's no looking back. At first you'll get some foot fatigue from standing so many hours. Get a comfortable running shoe with tons of foot support or/and a standing mat. I got a cheap standing desk setup from amazon for about $30 and the mat for the same price. No need to spend hundreds of dollars setting up one.

For exercise, I'd focus on ones that strengthen the lower back. Your lower back is weak from all that sitting and it's this weakness that's making it feel tight and unconfortable. Throw some supermans into your routine. They gently work the lower back.

Also, I find regular theraputic massages helped a lot. If you can afford one, I recommend heading to a good one that'll take care of your upper body. They provided with lots of relief.

I get shoulder pain and for me working on a standing desk really helps. If you can't get a fancy standing desk (I'm lucky that work has them for everyone), then you can do a DIY thing. At home I don't have a standing desk, but I put my monitor on a bunch of old cardbord boxes and boxes. So basically it's a makeshift standing desk and it works great.

I also use an Anti-Fatigue Mat as it helps with standing for hours on end. Though I found one at costco for $15 which was a good deal. It's meant for the kitchen , but it works.

Also I follow the Pomodoro Technique of working. Every 25 minutes I take a 5 minute break and go for a walk outside. I hear a lot of programmers complain that it breaks the flow, but for me I find it to be a nice moment to relax and helps gather my thoughts. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut, stepping away and allowing the mind to relax really helps. It also helps with pain by getting a little bit of movement.
