You may be better off buying a usb remote to control the slides: https://www.amazon.com/DinoFire-Wireless-Presenter-PowerPoint-Presentation/dp/B012FB0VM8/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?keywords=powerpoint+usb+controller&qid=1567381986&s=gateway&sr=8-13

I don't have an iPhone but I can't imagine apple making it easy for google or Microsoft to integrate controls into an iPhone app.

That projector and more than 5+ other models share the same design. That's how I know it's 480p and chinese because a lot of projectors just copy each other.

You can tell these are cheap chinese projectors by the random stock images of mechs, kids watching a big screen picture, balloons, showing the projector connected to all kinds of devices.

You can tell because the projector looks kind of cheap compared to real projectors like the Epson 2040, Optoma HD28DSE or the BenQ HT2050. These cheap projectors (under $200) mention 1080p in the title as a clickbait but when you scroll down to the specifications of the projector you're looking at, you can tell it's... nvm, it's so bad they don't even list the native resolution. They only say that it's 1080p 'supported'. I know it's 480p for sure because someone left a picture review on amazon.

If the projector isn't from AAXA, Dell, LG, Viewsonic, Acer, Optoma, Epson, BenQ, Sony, Panasonic, JVC then it's very likely that it's just not worth your time/money.

If you can stretch your budget a little further, then I would suggest the refurbished LG PH300 on eBay for $240. It's 720p HD and can 'beam' an image of 100" from around 12.5" ft away. I bought one and it's been great for me, I've had it for over a year now. They sell for close to $400 on Amazon.

Here are some LG PH300 videos on youtube I found doing research before buying the projector:

Batman

Hulk vs Ironman with Lights On.

Another lights on test (not me).

testing a blu-ray animation movie

action explosions on the ceiling

racing cars

random korean show

You can get chipboard (the stuff you put behind a picture in a picture frame) from Amazon or most craft or art stores (maybe an office supply store). There's different weights, though, and the thin stuff tends to curl.

Spray adhesive works really well, damn is it messy. Do not try to use it indoors.

Alternately, if you're willing to spend a few bucks, you could get a thermal laminator and put them in plastic. That has the advantage that you can draw on them with dry erase (or wet erase) markers without interfering with reuse.

We may have different ideas as to how to implement this. But you could consider an LED Sign that can be programmed over WIFI. I have no experience with that product in particular, but it may be useful for messages only and will not be cluttered by a clock and a picture, etc.

There's one for $17 with better reviews and extra laminating pouches.

Generally inappropriate.

There are so many other cool things you could use - Harry Potter wand, mini-lightsaber, glass calligraphy pen, etc.

Though, there are some that don't look as yad-esque as others. For example, this makes me think of a Harlequin and not the Torah:

And you should take off the chain.

Hey thanks for replying! So I’ve tried about 3 vinyl paper in which all three harbor the same results, “Cricut Vinyl Paper”, PPD Inkjet Glossy Creative Vinyl Stickers , and Neato Blank White Full Sheet Printable Labels .
I’ve tried 2 laminates, XFasten and StyleTech

All can be found on amazon

Sounds like this would be the cheapest, and probably would have the best looking end-result. But it will take time and work to get it designed, built, and coded correctly. I found a powerpoint clicker that will suffice for now but I think the arduino option will be my long term goal since I'm sure I will find more things that I want macros for. Plus it doesn't matter how I chop up this clicker. It's not going to look very good...

This is the clicker in question and I talked about why it will should work in a different comment below.

You should be able to use something like this instead for mantracking: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1HX6SS/

And castration bands from your local feed & farm are far superior to anything else you can put on there.

There are good reasons for carrying a trekking pole, but "just in case you need a tracking stick" isn't one of them. Your team might have it set in stone that it has to be a trekking pole, but I hope that isn't the case. :-)

How about the ipevo interactive white board system?

You don't need a projector, you can use it with a regular LCD TV as long as you don't scratch the LCD surface too hard while writing.

As far as the keyboard goes, I think some of the desktop solutions like Envelop allow you to use your computer's webcam to view your keyboard. As far as the mouse solution goes, I think using a ring mouse might be interesting, although I tend to think it may get confused once you're facing different directions. Might be interesting to try though.

I teach mod/severe in CA. I would wait to see the population you're working with. There are some things you will need. Like velcro squares, velcro rolls, titanium scissors to cut velcro, laminator, 5 mil sheets, 3 mil sheets, rotary trimmer, and optional but I would highly suggest it, a color laser printer The printer can take all manner of recycled cartridges and its nice to have to create picture cards at home. I would also suggest getting a subscription to Lessonpix when you start teaching in order to create all the picture cards you need.

Buy smart and write your name on everything. Take things with you as you go from job to job, if you do so. You paid for it, you take it.

Buy cheaply. Try Oriental Trading Post, stuff straight from China on Ebay, Reallygoodstuff.com, Dollar Tree, 99 Cent store, etc. Look at end of holiday sales. Look at ways to make what you can or adapt items. Don't buy everything and anything.

You keep assuming these were fancy expensive laser pointer a. I don't see any reason to assume it wasn't something like this, especially as this was a student leader.
