The hell? This is a lot of over kill for what you get...

super simple way:

go buy "Magnetite" iron filings from Amazon.

Get some regular motor oil, and Isopropal alcohol. Mix the iron and the motor oil. Add a few drops of motor oil/iron filings to the IPA.

And that's it. You get a cool looking thing that pretty much acts just like what was posted, but for a whoooole lot less effort.

  1. Paint car red.
  2. Mix THIS into clear coat.
  3. Apply clear coat to car.
  4. Once set, park car in warm place.
  5. Pour cold water onto 'red' car to activate pigment in clear coat.

Sounds like a ton of effort but also fun. Especially teeth and gums are extremely impressive. The only thing I'd change is using painted glass balls (every toy store has some) as eyes and then socket them in milliput. To me the bigger ones seem too flat while eye is usualy spherical. Perhaps I'd cut them in half first to better fit in.

Still, once more, amazing job.

Never used Liquidex. Next time you're doing something similar - trapping colorised glow powder in transparent/clear epoxy casting resin gives off amazing results (glows in the dark). Imagine if teeth and eyes or purple tissue glowed in the dark. Who knows perhaps it would also work with transparent liquidex. ;)

They're glow-in-the-dark! I used a two-part resin and some glow powder and carefully piped that mix into the wood.

There’s this dumb chain of color changing clothing stores in Caribbean cruise ports. Give me a minute and I’ll find it.

Edit, here’s the store

Here’s this stuff

20g of Thermochromic Temperature Activated Pigment Powder - Heat Sensitive Color Changing Powder for Slime, Paint, Resin, Epoxy, Nail Polish, Ink, Screen Printing, Fabric Art, Casting (Blue) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XPTLKG3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apu_vRgNBbERG58K0

Print next one from the clear material, and mix up some https://www.amazon.com/Black-Thermochromic-Pigment-Changes-Fahrenheit/dp/B01AE8CVYU with some epoxy and paint the printed model, and you have a cov-ops ship that can "cloak" when the heat is on.

I've got the test pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNFSFN9/ though I was left choosing between the white powder that glows a brighter blue or the blue powder that glows a dimmer, bluer blue. Went with the blue so it would look okay in the light.

I'm also going to try https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXJ2W5A/ at some point that I got as it appears to be higher quality.

It wasn't too bad - a good majority of the streaks still glow in the dark (it's a lot brighter in the dark than the picture shows - my phone's camera is pretty awful in low-light).

These were the ingredients I used:

1:1 Epoxy Mixture

Glow Powder

Teal Pigment

I unfortunately haven’t tried it yet but I have found this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KDK0I2M/ref=pd_aw_sbs_201_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=NKVGVB0RB4YYDGAKRTJ7&dpPl=1&dpID=41kRrq%2BjFdL

And have seen a YouTube channel on it which they seemed to like it.

For me I’m making dragons’ eggs that are black when seen on a shelf almost like a fossil and then when held they “magically” become live again.

I tried this black pigment and this varnish and did a few tests with my ceramic pieces.

It took me while to do these tests and I also moved states since I graduated so everything got delayed in terms of reporting back my results with the pigment and varnish.

Here are my results:

I used a 1:3 ratio of pigment and varnish, but I think it I will use more pigment to have a mixture of half varnish and the other half pigment dye. It is important to do very thin layers of the mixture, which can be tedious to some people. I tried the mixture on different pieces with various degrees of thickness (in terms of the walls of the bowls/mugs). It is better if your mug/bowl/wall is thinner so the heat of the liquid permeates to the outer wall of the piece quicker and easier than thick pieces. I layered the mixture on thick to see what would happen. It does not work well. The mixture dries chunky and it could easily be scratched off by nails/fingers or water. Also the thicker the coat, when the dye becomes transparent, the black dye turns transparent but with a purple tint to it. It might be the dye, the varnish or the thickness of the coat I put on. I am not sure exactly what caused this purple tint to appear in the mixture batches.

The varnish did okay, but I might use a different varnish at a later date that has a glossy finish. This is simply my preference since the varnish I used this time had a clear, smooth finish almost matte, but my pieces came out usually glossy due to the glazes I used. I didn't like the matte look so I think using a glossier varnish might help blend the pigment and fit with the scheme I want for future pieces. If anyone has any other questions about it please let me know. I'm settled down now in my old home so I can respond quicker now than before.

Because they're dropping UV powder AT ALL.

The entire point of this is so they can legitimize their actions. If they didn't want to appear legitimate in their arrests/beatings, they wouldn't bother.

All I'm suggesting is that you take that away from them. They clearly want it ... you don't get a helicopter and pilot together to drop hundreds of pounds of UV powder on people on a whim.

Don't let them have it. Buy some online get it on everyone.

Take that false sense of legitimacy away from them.

UV paint and UV powder can be fun and used as a tool for revealing hidden clues or feelies. Plus adds the element of building UV lighting.

right on right on.

In my experience those lighting things are kind of you get what you pay for ish, while LED's are a dime a dozen for sure.

this is the projector I have and it is very pixelated for your computer screen or movies but for milkdrop its perfect, it just has to be very dark.

But more like the other things your looking at I would suggest a UV LASER!! it instantly makes anything that glows in the dark, well glow or just your plain OG green laser if you can't be trusted with ultraviolet eye damaging power.

MOAR LASERS

I would suggest some glow in the dark pigment to mix with paint or glue for any and all places. Or you could paint a surface and draw on it with the UV laser.

My friend got this from his sister as a gift and left it at my house and, while kewl, I could buy much much much more mind blowing stuff for $100.

Thermochromic pigment can be purchased off of Amazon for $15. Not sure if it would be a good idea, but just throwing it out there.
