Also to add, have her pick out a photo album or something like that to keep her creations "forever"! The important thing is to have her pick out how/where to store her photos.

I use these for big LP sets like Explosions In The Sky's Take Care, Take Care, Take Care.
They do the job although I wish they were resealable like my other outer sleeves.

I saw a blogger on Instagram post that she's using this with a Instax camera for her guest book.. this way you don't have to prep it, it's affordable and there's room for the guest to sign a short note next to each picture. It also comes in a ton of colors so you could match your wedding colors, would something like this work?

Ok so I did a quick search online and I found a pink ver. on Amazon that's new! I also found a someone selling a set I think of both albums if the mint one is too much. The only bing is though that they only come with the photobook, CD, and the little banner. Mostly all I'm finding is the signed Mwave albums. But I'll keep looking!

this slimline one is taller and thinner than most albums. For $2 more you can get the more common size that will fit on most bookshelves easier. Either way they hold the same number of cards.

I have on my art list Pocket Pages I scrapbook a bunch and I have recently taken up writing fanmail to celebrities and persons of inspiration in hopes of getting an autograph and would like to protect them. So far received a few back and I want to send a bunch more!

if it's a basic album like this one you just slide the photos into the sleeves, no glue.

If there's a little window on the front cover and it has stock people in it (what I think you mean by "little cut outs") there should be some way to get photos in there. A little door on the inside of the cover would be my guess.

If there's no stock photos in the cut outs they may just be decorative.

These days for a special event book, like a particular vacation or party, I prefer a printed book like you can get at ShutterFly or SnapFish where you do the whole layout online and they print it and ship it to you. More expensive than printing 4x6s and filling out an album though.

If you're not looking for archival storage quality, any high-quality photo album will do what you need. Don't cheap out and you'll be fine.

I think we're going with a traditional guest book, but I also considered having guests sign/write on postcards and assembling them in a postcard album.
