Don't get gouged by the dealership on filters. The OEM fleece filters are manufactured by Mann and you can find them on Amazon for a discounted price: Mann 718/5x.
K&N filters are popular. I got lucky and scored one for 6 bucks but it's still only 12 on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000E2CVDI/

And as for the air filter I stick with the OEM one, you can find it for about $16 online.

my vote is go with oem filter
the Japanese are very precise in their engineering.
But i do know K&N has filters that will fit both Honda and Kawasaki.
