Best smartwatch case with band according to redditors

I ordered this band. I am currently deployed in Iraq with my Army Aviation unit and this has held up to a lot of abuse. I feel qualified and obligated to deem it as “military-grade”.

My husband is a mechanic and uses this case/band with a normal screen protector.

I have the LK Screen Protector with Spigen Rugged Armor Pro (case and band model) for 2 months now and also recently ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor case only to use with my sport loop band.

The screen protector looks and feels fine. Of course not using any would look and feel better, but you have to make some compromises for protection.Tempered glass should be better of course but I don't know if it will be compatible with the case.

The best part is, it seems this particular screen protector is indeed case friendly and there is no interference whatsoever between the case and the protector and hopefully, it stays the same down the road.

If you are just looking for functional use and protection on the street for your Apple Watch, I recommend the SUPCASE (link below). But a sleeve like the old OD Green Timex watchbands/cover from the 80s and 90s have ran their course. Even if black I don’t feel I’d wear it but if you drop a blue line down the middle I bet you’d sell in the states!! Otherwise good looking product probably more geared for combat

I do . I train in an environment where it can scuffed up, but also transition to a desk job to social life.

I ran the Palmerton Super this year with my Apple Watch 4. I know it is waterproof, but I was afraid of rocks and mud getting to it. So I bought a case on Amazon that was completely sealed and waterproof so that I could still use my watch but have it protected as I got through the course. Worked like a charm! And I’ll be using the same band to run a sprint in about a week.

I starting wondering about this same thing, but I'm not sure. It seems like a trade-off between what you described versus significantly more water exposure.

This is the case, which I don't recommend for obvious reasons. I think I'm going to return it.

There is a Catalyst case, which is like $70 and significantly more expensive, but it's at least a more well-known brand, despite the fact that their case doesn't enclose the watch completely. So, I have my reservations on the Catalyst one as well.

I looked at some pictures, and it does not look like this watch has standard connection for straps. The amazon listing for this example say it's a 14mm lug width. Standard metal bracelets are not going to fit this watch. Sorry!

They’re a bit more bulky but it beats having to buy a new watch. I just broke mine too and had to get a new one. Apple care is absolutely worth it. They’ll fix broken screens that cost almost as much as a new watch to fix without it. Won’t make that mistake again 😭

It might be overkill, but I’ve been using this case for several months now. I sweat and bump my wrist on things a lot, and the scratches on my watch are from when I get home and switch out for a different band. The only real drawbacks are the fact you can’t swap the band, and it seems to impede the mic a little, so raising your wrist to speak to Siri seems a lot less responsive when It’s on.

I wasn’t a fan of the band it came with but I kept the metal part and put my Fitbit default band back on it.

I just got this band today from Sellers360 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B072MD85BQ/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . They're out of stock right now and I don't even see the white/black color option on their page anymore. So, I have no idea if they will sell more.

I just saw in my first picture that the white part of the band looks pink or tan, but you can see in the other pictures that it is white. It's actually VERY bright white which is a little disappointing since I believe it should be an off-white or very pale gray color. I included a picture of it next to my knockoff gray/white band (but the colors look more similar to the pure platinum band) from Ouluoqi. The Sellers360 light bone and black band is an even lighter white and brighter white than the white underside and holes on the Ouluoqi band.

Otherwise, the band feels smooth and solid and fits well like my authentic anthracite Nike band. The Sellers360 knockoff band is thicker than the Nike band or any other knockoff Nike bands that I own.

I do really like how the black color in the holes stands out so much and is so noticeable. That's my favorite thing about my black and gray knockoff Nike band. I love how the colors in the holes stand out from the rest of the band.

I can't speak to whether or not the white color will fade since I've had it for less than a day.

Nice video review, how's the leather quality? Looks a little stiff which is the only thing I didn't like about the OEM band (probably just used to a really supple/bendy one I'd adapted to my 360, which I used thru last Feb)...

Is the inside sort of suede like the OEM? That seems to help in not making my wrist as sweaty underneath it... For $16 I'm tempted to try it for a change even tho I preordered/funded the Steel Connect adapter.

Edit: They must've dropped the price very recently, camelcamelcamel's Amazon tracker still has it at $19. There's some funky stuff going on with the Amazon listing since it says it was first available in 2015 (not) and the costumer images are all about a red Apple Watch band, heh.

I use a clear, soft TPU bumper and a Skinomi screen protector. I have been happy with my bumper and separate screen protector. It provides some protection for the watch while letting its natural appearance show. I have not noticed yellowing yet of the clear bumper, but I have only had it a couple of months. I have the s3 gold. Carefully put on, I managed to get it on without the screen cover coming up. Let the Skinomi screen cover set overnight. After I put it on, I would check on it, and press the screen cover around the edges as it dried.

Some say that condensation may build up under the full cover TPU, and sometimes the touch screen may not work as well. However, it may provide a little more cushion.

For a more rugged look, one may want to consider a Spiegen Rugged Armour https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugged-Armor-Designed-Apple/dp/B07HSSDV4S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541351469&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+apple+watch+4 . I have one in pink. The pink just cheapens the look. As much as I like pink, I think black would look much better with a black strap, and create a rugged look when needed. However, it is hard to get the case on without messing up the corners of the screen protector.
