Honestly, the seperate Keyboard situation is totally fine. The thing about the Keyboard case is, they get banged up so easily. I've seen a few reviews on them and most looked super rugged and used up after just a couple of months of usage. Personally, that bothers me given the price.

There are almost perfect replicas of the magnet case without the keyboard for 10-15$. I just got one of those and when i'm on the go i pack my wireless microsoft keyboard in the bag.

When i lay in bed i like to plop the Ipad out and just hold it without any casing around it, so the magnet cases are perfect for that. Plus, if you need extra protection for carrying it around in your bag, just get something like this https://smile.amazon.de/gp/product/B075L45WXP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ordered this for myself, but I don't see a dedicated place for the pencil:

If you already have cases you like, Amazon & Staples sell these little Apple Pencil cases that can be attached to almost any case. I believe one brand is called Moko and I think Amazon also sells their own version under the 'Basics' brand.

Something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Apple-Pencil-Holder-Adapter-Pocket/dp/B01FD77DFO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1487938442&sr=8-4&keywords=apple+pencil+case
or this: https://smile.amazon.com/Apple-Pencil-Case-Holder-Detachable/dp/B01EHSMC56/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1487938442&sr=8-12&keywords=apple+pencil+case

I have used the above since I got the pixelbook, I like it.

That is a really good idea, I actually found something on Amazon that is similar.

I use this sleeve. Works well. Fits with the pen and type cover attached. Has space for a few accessories in the front pocket.

u/urbancottontail · 2 pointsr/yogabook

I have a cheaper case from Moko which you can find here. It's a bit large for just the Yoga book but the pen fits nicely in the remaining space. There is a pocket in the back which I am using to hold the magnetic pad. It's a bit of a cheap case I dont know how long it will last (I've only had mine for a few weeks.)

I'm a big fan of the "Sleeve and naked Surface" method myself. I think it is such a nice device, putting a clunky case on it really spoils the appeal. But since I don't want it to get all scratched up, I keep it in a sleeve. I use this one: http://www.amazon.com/Inateck-Surface-Carrying-Microsoft-10-8-Inch/dp/B00YDRYGMO?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

I really like it. The wool looks nice, and adds a bit of light protection, and the soft felt on the inside really keeps the surface of the Surface clean. Plus, it fits nicely and snugly with the type cover on, and it holds the pen well.

u/YeMajorNerd · 2 pointsr/RemarkableTablet

I'm using this one:
NIDOO 10 Inch Laptop Sleeve Case Water Resistant Protective Cover Portable Carrying Bag for 2017 New 9.7" iPad / iPad Pro / 10.5" iPad Pro / 10.1" Lenovo YOGA BOOK / 10.1" Notebooks, Dark Grey https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0725WJFCM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_gC2CAbGM5YX1X

It was $12 on Amazon, fits the tablet well, feels quality, and is water resistant. Additionally it has a zipper pocket in front in which I keep the pen, charger, etc

MoKo

I also have the one linked below (it's now under $6). It fits the switch with joycons attached and the mesh pocket can hold earphones or something small.

I think there might be a 12.9" version of this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075L45WXP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought this and am extremely happy with it (11" 2018 Pro with Pencil)

The fit is perfect!

I just got this TomToc case/sleeve. It fits the charger too. Works great for me.

u/SmellsLikeHerpesToMe · 1 pointr/Surface

For anyone wanting to spend a few extra bucks, try out this one. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00KGTPVH2/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's an amazing case that fits the SP3 perfectly. It has diamond shaped memory foam feeling material on the outside, and a furry inside to prevent scratches. Easy to use, and works well in a napsack.

u/AlexKnolly · 1 pointr/GooglePixelC

Currently using this Surface 3 sleeve while I wait for a Pixel C-specific sleeve. It's larger than the Pixel C but it's not awful. I love the materials in design, hopefully they make a product-specific version sometime.

This one is $15.99, fits the keyboard too and is generally pretty great.

u/orbnkl · 1 pointr/chromeos

We have this case:

http://www.amazon.com/amCase-Tablet-Sleeve-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00GZRX5N6

This is protective enough and fits inside backpacks etc. But not sure if it can protect against large drops.

u/campl0 · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

I find it funny people are still recommending you cases that aren't fitting your criteria. I am a very minimalist and was not a fan of all the cases that came out. Someone on here posted their case and I loved it. It was just a neoprene sleeve that fit the switch with joycons attached. Best of all it was cheap. Check it out here I can post a photo of mine in a little while. I just carry my switch and the netted pouch fits a usb cable, thin game holder(4 games), and a usb charger (iphone). Best thing is all that stuff is optional.

u/amart565 · 1 pointr/ipad

I opted for a different route. I bought a. iPad Pro sleeve with an Apple Pencil pocket.

iPad Pro Case Sleeve, iPad Pro Case with Pencil Holder, ESR PU Leather Protective Sleeve Carrying Bag Case with Back Pocket for Apple iPad Pro 12.9 Inches (2015 Released)_Brown https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016MKSXGE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_UAkDxbNH50GZB

I have a minimal bumper case and my pencil is always with my iPad.

u/andreas_jacob · 1 pointr/Surface

Get a case only if you are particularly careless with handling your devices, or have kids around. Because by putting an ugly rubberized layer around your surface you are negating the looks for which you paid in the first place. You also put considerable heft. And most of them even cover the vents, further exacerbating the heating issues. Get a good skin, if all you want is to avoid scratches and minor scruffs.

As for the sleeve, I have one from Procase, and so far so good. No complaints. https://www.amazon.com/ProCase-12-Protective-Ultrabook-Chromebook/dp/B016Z3EFL0/

u/stoodeh · 1 pointr/MatebookXPro

This fits pretty perfectly. you can fold the flap like this

u/iceicebeibei · 1 pointr/chromeos

I got this one!

Tomtoc 360° Protective Laptop Sleeve Case Bag for 13 Inch MacBook Pro 2012-2016 Early | 12.9 Inch iPad Pro, Spill-Resistant 13 inch Laptop Briefcase Cover, Black Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H57VY9G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_lZl4ybM1FN5ZG

There's a little free room so it's not a snug fit, but it's good for what it is :)

u/ShortBeachJ · 1 pointr/Surface

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KGTQ7XO/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_9vwRub0DZTYEF

I just got this one off amazon a week ago. I like it so far. The zippered pouch can easily fit the pen and charger.

u/Cameron167 · 1 pointr/Surface

I used to be like that too, I'm on my fifth pen now. I ended up buying a case for all my surface accessories and pens. I've formed a habit of placing it in the case and checking the case before I leave anywhere I do work. I also put a tile locator in it incase I lose the case. It seems to help so far.
Something like this is what I got:

https://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Leather-Samsung-Surface-Generation/dp/B06XQXM89Z/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=surface+pen+case+holder&qid=1570129772&s=gateway&sprefix=Surface+pen+case&sr=8-4

u/thegoods21 · 1 pointr/MatebookXPro

I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MDT6G6K/

Works great and no issues so far. Had it since release.

u/ConsecteturLorem · 1 pointr/PixelBook

https://www.amazon.com/Evecase-Repellent-Shockproof-Protective-Accessory/dp/B074KQJHB1/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1521843789&sr=8-1&keywords=885157983143

I've used this one for a couple of months and really like it. You can charge your PB while it is in the case by unzipping slightly. Quality is better than I expected and has some actual padding for protection.

I also have my free pen loop attached to the side of my screen and it fits nicely in the case with the pen attached to the side but isn't too big as to feel like the PB swims around inside of it.

u/sulihpoeht · 1 pointr/ipad

My girlfriend and I both bought this one, we both love it. It's a little loose on how it holds the pencil, but it's never been a problem. I think this might be more what you're looking for

u/MrYiff · 1 pointr/Surface

I got an Evecase neoprene sleeve a bit like this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Surface-Evecase-Water-resistant-Notebook/dp/B00KGTPVH2

So far seems to protect my SP4 pretty well as it travels in my rucksack to and from work.

I have not found any cases that are slim and yet not compromise safety.

At the moment I use a UAG metropolis case for my iPad 2018 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XYRHP7C/) and a cheap case for my iPad 2017 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079MB43RM/).

The cheap case is temporary because I'm currently living in another country for university, and I left my other UAG metropolis at home. When I get home during the summer or next year, I'll be replacing it with a new UAG case.

The cheaper case feels very flimsy to me that I'm not very confident that I want to bring my iPad 2017 outside. I can't imagine how people actually use Smart Covers and nothing else. But that's just my preference.

My UAG case has been time tested though, I fell twice on the pavement (yes, I read when walking to my exam hall, fell when I did not see the large dip on the pavement) and both times, my iPad came off pristine and unscratched, while both my knees were totally scraped. So I know for sure that my iPad is pretty safe inside the case.

The trade off - it's pretty heavy. I calculated that if I carry iPad 2018 + Logitech K380 + UAG case, it'll work out close to about 1.1 to 1.2kg, which is almost as heavy as my MacBook Air 2010.

Also one thing that bothers me with the cheap case is that it only covers 3 sides of the iPad: top, right and bottom sides. When you close the lid, the left side is covered of course, but when you open the lid and fold it, the left side is exposed. So if you read on the bed or you use it on the table, some dirt and crumbs can stick to the exposed side (I buy the case for protection and to keep my iPad clean and pristine, but it's useless if one side gets dirty).

I only found out about this after I bought it. I did not scrutinize the product pictures on amazon. Next time make sure to check all the sides on the Amazon product pictures. I only discovered recently that if I had paid more attention to all the product pictures, I would not have bought the cheaper case because of the exposed side when you folded it.

UAG Metropolis covers all sides of the iPad (with both folded and unfolded cover), so when you read on the bed or when you put your iPad on the crummy table in McDonalds with the cover folded, you know your iPad will stay clean.

The bad thing about UAG Metropolis - the iPad 2018 case does not come with a pencil holder, so if your kid is the kind of person who always loses stuff, you might be better off getting a Fintie case. I have not found a good case for iPad 2018 which can replace my UAG and comes with a Pencil Holder. I did not get a Fintie case because I wanted to get a silicone tip cover for my Pencil and Fintie case Pencil Holder would not fit that.

I have a separate Pencil case for my Apple Pencil (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XQXM89Z/). Since I'm in school I also use it to carry a real pen or two (for exams), my Lightning USB cable and a microfiber cloth in there.

I also bought this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XJDNQ2L/). I replaced my Apple Pencil Lightning Cap with this one, and I use the silicone tip to protect my Apple Pencil tip, because I've heard that if you drop it on the tip, it's a goner. It also helps the Pencil not to roll over the table.

See my other post here about using the same silicone tip to dampen the sound of the Apple Pencil against the iPad surface, so your kid can use it to study in the library

I ordered this one last week, waiting to recieve it.

Usually people advise against a case, because of heat issues, but that is something I'm not too informed in, so I cant advise for or against any case. I DO have a sleeve case for mine, [Moko] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U8MP5VY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which works fine for keepings scratches away while in my pack.

This one on Newegg looks similar at $30.

There is also This one on Ebay for $22
