She needs to buy the 480 Yorkshire Tea Bags that's why.

u/DieAlteLeier · 16 pointsr/CasualUK

I live in Germany too, and I bought a 1.5 kg bag of Yorkshire Tea on amazon.de last year for about 18 euros. At 600 one-cup teabags, it came out to 3 cents per teabag. The average prices in the UK are a bit lower (like maybe 2 cents per teabag), so maybe you could order from a seller at Amazon UK, but if you factor in shipping to Germany, it probably comes out to about the same...

For reference, I ordered this last year, and the company sent me this. The one-cup teabags look and taste the same as the standard ones, I found. But I wouldn't recommend ordering one of the big bags for more than 20 euros, because yeah, then it is definitely not a reasonable price.

Edit: Here we go! It seems like this seller ships to Germany for about 5 pounds. So 15 GBP for 480 teabags...you'd be saving a couple of euros, at least. :)

haha since you asked, this is what I was going to write:

Lifestyle HABITS that I feel have contributed to clear, glowy skin:
DISCLAIMER: This is NOT medical advice, you should speak with your doctor or dietitian before adding dietary supplements to your regimen. I should also mention that I have a chronic health condition and so I try to ensure, with my “wellness routines,” that I stay healthy.

  • I’m a student of clinical nutrition, so I mostly eat “clean” (mostly plants) and avoid “added sugars” where possible. I also take iron and Vitamin D supplements, daily to fill in gaps. Iron definitely helped out my hair breakage.
  • I also make sure to eat lots of healthful fats (mono- and poly-unsaturated), veggies, and consume dairy sparingly.
  • I drink matcha and spearmint tea everyday, in the morning and at night, respectively. Spearmint has drastically eliminated my hormonal breakouts.
  • I add 1 tablespoon of hydrolyzed collagen daily to my green smoothie. I’ve been using it for 6 months and my hair grows faster, thicker, and my skin is incredibly soft. I’ve been told, when not wearing, foundation how velvety my skin looks multiple times since starting.
  • I do intensive cardio + strength training every other day and stay hydrated. This one gave me an all-over glow that’s pretty unmatched and I have a great body skincare routine.
  • I carry a CamelBak with me all the time, to make sure I’m drinking water throughout the day. I probably drink nearly 3L per day, but I’m active and tall, so your water balance needs may vary.
  • I flip, alternate, and then change my pillowcases regularly.
  • I’ve been sleeping with satin or silk pillowcases for over a decade. Originally for my hair, but I think it’s contributed to having “good skin” over time. People think I look younger than I am by about 5+ years on average, which is huge in your 20s imho. Didn't start seriously looking after my skin until around 25.
  • Regular, ample sleep really improves my glow up in a way that products cannot alone.

Have you tried Heather's tummy tea? (Or any fennel tea) https://www.amazon.com/Heathers-Tummy-Organic-Fennel-Teabags/dp/B000AF0A78

Her tea and her book about IBS have helped me so much!

u/I_RAKE_FLOWERBEDS · 4 pointsr/reddevils

Try English Breakfast or Assam if you can get them where you are.

Some people have Earl Grey with a dash of milk too, which has a nice citrusy taste.
We drink plenty of tea without milk too, if you like peated whisky or smoked foods then maybe try Lapsang Souchong?

I'm sure the folks over at r/tea have plenty of recommendations too!
You can always buy a sampler box to start and try them all out.

u/quona · 3 pointsr/proED

I don't know for a fact that you'll have it in Quebec, but nearly all Asian markets sell it, so if you have an Asian market nearby, go check out their tea aisle -- it comes in boxes that look like this, or you can just buy it from Amazon. It's a pretty mild laxative that I use every now and again, but the first time you drink it can be a doozy.

u/beeskneecaps · 3 pointsr/lactoseintolerant

Welcome rafkamodie! I've never heard of Anise tea, but I will have to give it a shot... my list of things to counteract stomach aches so far are 1.) lactase pills and 2.) gas-x, both of which aren't totally effective..

It's exciting to hear about a natural remedy. do you have any specific brand recommendations?

Tummy Tea looks like what you were talking about.. I'll have to try it.

u/Yokuo · 3 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This Sweet Tangerine Positive Energy tea. It cooled off enough for me to try, and it's pretty good! The tangerine isn't too overpowering :)

u/RoastedBean · 3 pointsr/migraine

I [24/F, sufferer for 12 yrs] highly recommend Zofran (ondansetron). I like this medication specifically because it works really quickly - it takes maybe 10min tops for the nausea to subside after I take it. I gave one to a friend on a roadtrip who was having horrible carsickness and she felt completely fine within 5-10 minutes. I also use this ginger crystal tea regularly and it works wonders. Be warned, though, its VERY strong, but watering it down to make the taste less intense really isn't as effective for nausea IMO. I definitely recommend using the amount of water that it says to on the directions. I personally love the taste/strength of this tea and often drink it just because I like it (so does my mom), but both of us are huge fans of ginger in general. My boyfriend, on the other hand, can't stand how this tea tastes. So, if you like ginger or can stand to drink it even if you don't particularly love it, it really does help. I originally discovered it when I had the flu and my nausea was absolutely HORRIBLE, I was finally able to sleep after a few nights of tossing and turning with stomach pain/nausea after drinking this tea, it was a miracle.

u/GothBunnyClique · 2 pointsr/boba

I think Lollicup uses the term “snow bubble”. It’s creamier than a slushy since snow bubble has milk, ice and flavored powder blended. I’d say milk tea is shaken, not a blended beverage.

As far as taro powder, I’ve tried the brand Bolle which I bought from my local Asian store. It’s pretty good. Definitely better to blend than mix for milk tea. Though, Lollicup gets their powder from Teazone .

How about a cool tea sampler? can also get a mug and tea catcher? to go with it!

It was cheaper when I got it, because I ordered directly through Amazon. The only flavor i've tried is African Solstice, and I wasn't impressed.

u/eliza-jay · 2 pointsr/tea

I got this last year and really enjoyed it: http://www.amazon.com/Tea-Forte-Single-Different-Pouches/dp/B00O80NU00/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1452458620&sr=8-2&keywords=tea+forte+sampler

Edit: I also found these puuches large enough for a full pot or two (some second steeped better than others), not just a single cup.

u/therealleotrotsky · 2 pointsr/tea

I've made this barley tea (boricha), and they do recommend simmering it for 10 minutes or so. Good stuff, but also a bit of an acquired taste. I've also heard good things about roasted black beans and corn, but I'd imagine that'd be even more ...unique.

u/TeaMinded · 2 pointsr/tea

One of my all-time favorite accessories is the "Teavana Voyager, 5-piece Travel Tea Kit" -
A great gift for the tea enthusiast. I use it at the office, and when I travel. I'm not a fan of Teavana teas, but if do like this unique accessory. Let us know what gift you end up getting.

This tea traveling kit Because my dog cant eat it =_= . She is evil and eats everything and stainless steel should be hard to chew up

u/RosieeB · 2 pointsr/ibs

Fennel tea works pretty great. It doesn't taste very good, but it gets the job done quickly.

u/sjb-2812 · 2 pointsr/chemistry

Would this be different with different coffees, perhaps? Certainly here in the UK we have different blends of tea marketed as being for different water areas to some extent - see e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yorkshire-Tea-Hard-Water-Bags/dp/B007EDY142 or https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yorkshire-Tea-Traditional-1200-Bags/dp/B004QPHXL4 (for instance)

u/ifeelnumb · 2 pointsr/Interstitialcystitis

If you can tolerate ginger, the Asian grocers have a great ginger tea, which I live on when I get a cold.

You can also just buy ginger root and brew your own. Easier to control known ingredients.

u/kamowa · 2 pointsr/Cooking

Can’t find a powder, but [this tea](Juniper Ridge Wildharvested Douglas Fir Spring Tip Tea, 20 Unbleached Bags https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002L0QX1C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_wmaXBb4QQW7B0)looks to be 100% dried Douglas Fir. You could probably cut open a tea bag and grind the “tea” in a mortar and pestle until it’s a powder.

u/adeadhead · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

:o Pikachu!? I would adore a pikachu :D

I have a lot of mate at ma house. Not that I don't go through it super fast. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005EERG4K/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=AGMVT4ZW3C56&coliid=IZGIX75D8M41N

u/thesonofdarwin · 2 pointsr/tea

A coworker overheard me explaining why I bought a variable temp tea kettle for the workplace kitchen and swung by my desk later to drop off a pine tea. I was intrigued as I never had a pine "tea" before, but worried because it smelled rather floral and woodsy.

I have to say, as someone who grew up camping dozens of times a year it tastes like I'm drinking my childhood. If I were to match camping to a flavor it wouldn't be the smokey campfire teas I've had, it would be this. Like walking through a pine forest at dawn when the trees are still laden with dew.

By end of day I have now ordered a box of my own. Douglas Fir Spring Tip Tea.

u/antitoffee · 2 pointsr/unitedkingdom

You only get an ooooh with Typhoo

u/notbasicenough · 2 pointsr/loseit

I use the asian detox tea in the ethnic/international foods section in my supermarket. Let the tea steep for 15 minutes and chug. I am usually out in a few hours. 3 Ballerina Tea or Dieter's Tea

Make sure whatever you use has Senna.

u/Teh_yak · 2 pointsr/thenetherlands

Marks and sparks' own brand. I keep the English breakfast as a supply at home. I don't drink tea, but other Brits seem to agree it's good enough.

If not, there's the expat shops if you visit the Hague. Kelly's is the one I use. Everything has a premium though.

Amazon always has stuff

u/sejinshi · 1 pointr/shittingadvice

I was using those Chinese diet teas for the past 10 years on a daily basis. You can find them in some grocery stores or Asian food stores. Usually they're called Ballerina Diet teas. They contain something called Senna.

I haven't had an side effects from them as far as I'm aware of. I probably shouldn't have been using them for so long, but I hate not being regular and I had a hard time doing it through diet alone. Now I am getting off them just in case because I want to get pregnant soon and I don't know if it's a good idea to drink the tea during pregnancy. I have started taking magnesium citrate supplements to help and my diet is mostly Paleo. Started making veggie and fruit smoothies too. I haven't been going as regularly as I want to, but it's not too bad. I was the most regular when I drank the tea.

Comprehensive samplers can get a little pricey, but if you want to start simple and cheap, Numi Collection has green, black, pu'er, white, and herbal, although I haven't actually tried it myself.

Some samplers from some of my favorite companies - pricier but great:

Tea Forte sampler with black, white, green, and herbal.

Heavenly Tea Leaves has a couple variety samplers, I recommend this one.

Tea Spot's Signature Sampler has black, green, white, rooibos, and yerba mate. I haven't tried this particular sampler but I do like Tea Spot.

Capital Teas has a bunch of samplers but they're sets of three 2oz tins, so not quite as diverse. They make a lot of great tea though.

u/TheStormborn · 1 pointr/relationship_advice

My go-to thank you gift is a nice set of teas and a thoughtful mug to go with it. I brought this set for my boyfriend's parents, along with one of the starbucks mugs that has the state I live in painted on it. They loved it!

u/MacDjinn · 1 pointr/mead

I’ve used this tea a few times with great results. Juniper Ridge Fir Tea I typically just add it to the keg for a few days until I’m happy with the flavor.

My girlfriend got me some kind of blueberry and strawberry tea - but I don't know the brand but it was amazing

But in the USA - I have gotten this blueberry tea and it is pretty dang yummy... but I adore blueberry and pomegranate a lot!

u/checkoutmuhhat · 1 pointr/bartenders

Try infusing vodka with some fruit flavors, raspberry for red, blueberry for blue/mostly purple, cantaloupe for orange, honeydew for green, watermelon for pink, etc. Some of these will be a whole lot more colorful than others (green's kind of a tough one, can't think of too many options for you there, maybe use basil?) but the flavors would be nice.

I would get something like this, mash up the fruit or whatever you're using, fill up the bag, leave it overnight, give it a try in the morning and see if it's done or needs to sit longer. If anything leeches out just leave it in or use a spoon or something to get it out. Fun little thing to do and you'd actually be making something.

u/danltn · 1 pointr/AskUK

English Breakfast with milk is the most traditional choice. You might like Earl Grey (no milk, ever) too. Once you try those two, just get a selection (e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/English-Tea-Shop-Assorted-Fairtrade/dp/B0081ZHTTG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1462128713&sr=8-2&keywords=tea+selection) and try them all!

Yeah! Tadin Spearmint Tea 24 Bags - Te De Yerbabuena https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007RYBQV4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_u-ExDbNXBNMKJ

u/Kc1319310 · 1 pointr/quittingkratom

Caffeine shouldn't be preventing you from losing weight unless you're loading it with cream and sugar. I'll reiterate what others have said, I wouldn't have gotten by after quitting kratom without caffeine. One of the worst side effects was extreme fatigue.

Try out this tea instead of coffee. It is still pretty high in caffeine and gives me great mood lift versus coffee which just gives me nervous energy. I love the flavor of it too.

Wait to go on any drastic diets until you've kicked kratom completely. Doing too much at once will leave you feeling that much more deprived and will set you up for failure. I did Whole30 (Which is basically paleo) while I was tapering and it made the withdrawals SO much worse, specifically the restless legs. You shouldn't force yourself to detox off of carbs and sugar on top of kratom. Detoxing off of sugar alone can feel like opiate withdrawl at times.

Tackle one thing at a time, and start with the thing that has the most negative impact on your life and will be the hardest to kick. I'm guessing that would be kratom. After you've been stable for a couple of months, worry about your other vices. It will feel so much easier to kick sugar or caffeine once you've gotten the hard stuff out of the way.

Also, never just stop drinking caffeine after any sort of sustained use. Taper down like you would any other substance.

u/Elijah_Baley_ · 1 pointr/tea

Here for $11 a kilo, free shipping. You can get it sin palo for 98 cents morecloser to $20 after shipping.

That seems to be almost as cheap as it gets, once you take shipping into account. If you have a large South American population, you could probably find it cheaper at a local store.

u/PublicSealedClass · 1 pointr/explainlikeimfive

In the UK, tap water varies wildly between regions, and the levels of minerals in the water affect the taste.

The chemical composition varies that much that there are even ranges of tea that are suited to the different waters.

u/Waitwhatismybodydoin · 1 pointr/kratom

http://www.amazon.com/Tea-Pockets-Fill-Your-Bags/dp/B006WIN9ZC

pack your own teabag. I doubt anyone would ask about the loose stuff (and if they did you could say something besides kratom like matcha.) But you can avoid that by just making it look like any other tea.
