I used this latex rubber to do pretty much the same thing. Basically:

• paint a couple of layers on (allowing to dry between coats)
  
  
• dye the surrounding area (allow to dry)
  
  
• peel off latex

This was my absolute favorite. I carried it with me everywhere when I was little.

I also loved G.I. Joes as a kid. My favorites were the Battlewagon and the Badger

Of course the Super Soaker 50 was a staple for every kid at the time. But I also had a pair of Super Soaker 25s which made me one B.A.M.... cool kid.

And of course Legos. I loved Legos. My favorite sets were Blacktron. There were other similar space sets that followed, but Blacktron just oozed cool for a kid.

Edit: I forgot to add the Avalanche to the GI Joe list...which is crazy because every time the Avalanche entered the battlefield, it was assured COBRA was going to lose.

Just saw cars like these in Target, micro racers. Proportions did seem off in person. Not saying there isn't weirdness with the video.
