http://www.amazon.com/Jevity-High-Protein-Nutrition-8-Ounce/dp/B000ARPK9Y

Jevity is one of the most commonly used in hospitals. I can't say I recommend it for your everyday eating, it didn't taste bad but I imagine you'd get sick of it really quick. Perfectly safe for long term use though, some people have been eating nothing but for years, if not decades.

There are other brands as well, can't remember any names offhand though.

I definitely think if you stopped in January, with beginning to try in May, your system should be clear.

I like to do a natural detox about everything 3 months (when the seasons change), for 3-5 days. You could add several different types of detoxing after you quit smoking to really, really clean up.

I add a spoonful each of bentonite and psyllium husk to a glass of cranberry juice. (It can be any juice, but cranberry is strong - to mask out weird tastes - and it's known for being "good" for feminine issues. And I love the taste.) It's super sugary though, and cutting sugars is a good part of a detoxing, so I'd water it down. Mix everything up well with a spoon, and drink up.

You could also add Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) into your life, if you haven't be acquainted already. It's amazing.
It's can be crazy disgusting at first, but the results are wild. It will absolutely impact your:

  • digestion
  • bowel movements (can cause diarrhea if you take a lot at first; work up to 1 shot glass of it)
  • energy

It's recommended before you eat in the morning and/or afternoon. A shot every morning will start to make changes within a day. Do half a shot to start, mixed with water. You'll want a chaser of at least more water, if not something juice to get that taste out of your mouth.
I used to do this as part of a healthy weight loss plan. It helped with my appetite and digestion, and honestly gave me a lot of diarrhea. I realized I was just taking too much, so cut back, and it now really helps if I'm ever constipated. You will likely really want natural and safe ways to help with constipation with your preggers. You will likely be crazy constipated often.

Lastly, a actual "detox" kit is always good. These are my 2 favorites, but there are more out there that are good. Inner Cleanse is the cheaper (1/2 the cost), and it's gentle. Like ACV, it can cause diarrhea. Read and follow the directions.
The other one is Raw Cleanse. It's more complicated and I found it pretty gross, but if you can stomach the process (or find a middle ground with it, like adding juice), it's quite effective. Both of these kits are different, but their ingredients have detoxing elements that nothing else so far has offered.

Also, I recommend drinking kombucha at least weekly. IMHO, this is one of the best brands for kombucha (besides locally made goodness). There are a few other brands that are good, but watch our for the sugar.

So, if it's not apparent by now, all of these detoxing, in some way, stimulate you to ultimately poop a lot. Trying all these different ways of detoxing will not only detox you up, but you can find one detox that you prefer, and then do that one occasionally. I do a super big detox, as in all the things described above combined, maybe every 18. mos - 2 years, and then just one of those (cranberry juice blend or detox pills) every ~3 months.

Hope this helps! Congrats on planning a family. <3

A small heads up: whey protein is not vegan. It's a globular protein that is isolated from milk during cheese production (basically, a cheese byproduct.)

I read that you have been doing veganism for two weeks, so if you are looking for a replacement when your whey protein runs out, I suggest Vega One protein powder. Soy-free (it's good to vary your protein), mixes well, and contains a lot of additional vegan-specific supplementation. Blend it with some almond milk (or soy, whatever) and it is actually pretty good! (I do chocolate powder in regular or chocolate almond milk.) The only downside is that it is kind of expensive, but I'm pretty happy to have a protein powder I can stand. I just justify it to myself by drinking it for breakfast, then it's a meal/supplement that's $2.75/serving instead of an extra thing.

In fact, I think r/vegan just had a discussion about this a few days ago! Here it is.

Good luck with being vegan :)

Oh, ninja-edit-to-add--If you are looking for (not dark chocolate) vegan chocolate, give GoMaxGo a try! Rice milk vegan chocolate candies. My chocoholic parents (who recently started the process of going vegan) love them, as do I.

Ugh that sucks! Tbh vaping helps a lot too. Also was considering getting this recommended by someone here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXDJ207/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 It's a thermogenic, not an appetite suppressant, iirc. If I get it and it helps, I'll let you know. :)

u/c_topherl · 4 pointsr/bodybuilding

A lot of them are gimmicky, well-marketed crap. The ones that aren't usually consist mostly of green tea extract and caffeine (green tea has been proven to give a slight metabolism boost).

In the end, the ones that work really just give you a slight metabolism boost. Nothing you'll notice, but it'll help slightly if your calories are in check.

If you really want to spend money on supplements that help with cutting, I'd suggest getting some straight green tea extract pills, some cayenne pepper to put on food and some yohimbine.

EC stack is another option, but I believe I've heard combining ephedrine and yohimbine is a nono (can someone confirm?).

Pepsin made my stomach burn, but all you really need is HCL to activate your own pepsin. I like this brand. In general I only buy something that doctors or health food stores sell. Lots of sketchy brands on the internet

Premier Research Labs Premier HCL, 90 V-capsules https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006OBVRMY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_iqVZAbHT4Z59P

If your heartburn is caused by low acid, HCL should help. If it's caused by a structural issue it won't help. And if you have a burning sensation after taking HCL, you'll know that you're taking too much or don't actually need it. Stomach acid Lowers throughout day, so some people only need it with dinner. The only doctors who know about this are functional MDS and naturpaths. A milder solution that some people use is Apple cider vinegar in water.

I recently learned that magnesium oxide and calcium carbonate were lowering my stomach acid, so I'm switching to magnesium glycinate and calcium citrate. Nutritional issues are really tricky. And yes always good to check with your doctor. For instance, people with ulcers should avoid HCL.

u/haole1 · 2 pointsr/Supplements

Thanks for the reply! I bought this (I'm not trying to promote it). It's supposedly third party tested. It says "premium Rauwolscine" on the front label, but on the "supplement facts" box it says "Rauwolfia vomitoria (not bark) (std. 90% Alpha Yohimbine) 2 mg".

So far it seems to help with my physically demanding job and so if you know of a better source, I'd try that instead?

u/ContractorConfusion · 2 pointsr/intermittentfasting

I use Bronkaid, with 200mg of caffeine in the form of these pills, as well as a baby aspirin.

I take it in the morning, and it seems to do the trick for the rest of the day. I used to do two dosages, once in the morning, and then again around lunch time...but I found that kept me awake for far too long.

I typically don't take it on the weekends, simply because I think it helps to not become too accustomed/tolerant to it.

It REALLY helps with appetite suppression, which is the main reason I do it. As a minor side effect, I feel like it helps to burn more energy during the day.

u/EcoVeg · 2 pointsr/vegan

"Premier HCL" is vegan, and so is "Natural Factors Betaine HCL". Another route you could take would be to just buy the powder, e.g. from BulkSupplements.

BTW, Premier sells a separate supplement, "HCL Activator Premier", that has pepsin they claim is from a vegetarian source. I'm guessing this is either literally pepsin that's been made by bacteria (i.e. recombinant) or some natural fungal alternative/equivalent.

u/persp73 · 2 pointsr/4hourbodyslowcarb

My source is entirely anecdotal; the first time I did slow carb I noticed an increase in weight loss after I added PAGG. Could this have been a placebo effect? Definitely.

I use the PAGG stack pills from New Health Solutions, and I might try the ones from Pareto next, but with the former being $2/day and the latter $3/day, it might not be worth the extra pound or so a week.

u/NofatMIL · 2 pointsr/keto

Atkins sweet caramel chocolate I indulge a couple of times a week. But you can fit more in with your macros if you're dying for a treat. Look in your local supermarket. They are absolutely delicious.

This is designed for tube feeding. Anything not checked over by medical professionals is likely going to cause some malnutrition issues.

u/mephistopheles2u · 2 pointsr/keto

Yes, my foot fungus disappeared after about 8 weeks. In addition to Keto, I used this product.

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/Fibromyalgia

We've tried it too, without much result. Here's the thing: I believe Dr. Tietelbaum, who originally recommended the stuff, also advises that you eliminate gluten from your diet completely while taking d-Ribose. If you've never tried, let me tell you, it's really difficult/expensive to do. At least it can be. Almost everything has gluten in it these days.

If you want another cheap but very hopeful possibility, try out the Nopal or prickly pear cactus. Check out some of the reviews on some of these pages... they're exciting!! No diet restrictions that I know for nopal/prickly pear. I hope that some of you can give this a shot and I'm hoping and praying with all my heart that it helps somebody!

You ever tried a bentonite clay? I use this one. It calms my mind quite nicely (which, to me, points in the direction that the gut is a big problem with me).

Take a couple of Nopal cactus capsules before you drink, it helps minimize inflammation associated with hangover.

Another thing that you can use and this is what I do (MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT ALLERGIC TO PEA OR RICE PROTEINS) is a thing called mediclear, try to have a smoothie with it in the morning and night until symptoms calm down a little. http://www.amazon.com/Thorne-Research-MediClear-980-34-6oz/dp/B000FGXO2U
IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO SOY DO NOT BUY Mediclear Plus. IT IS SOY PROTIENS WHICH WILL (if your like me) END YOU. Once you open this your body should feel a little relieved just breathing the air of it.

u/vendorcentraluser · 1 pointr/FulfillmentByAmazon

I am actually a vendor central user, not a 3rd party through FBA, but I was wondering if you guys have seen this before and suggest how to approach this.

We sell one particular product in one size, one box

Several months ago we noticed a 3rd party create virtual bundles and variate with this size (they offer 2,3,4 and 5 pack bundles) What this resulted in was our page losing reviews until a customer picked our size.

It doesn't seem like this 3PL wants to make money, as the pricing for this product is absurdly expensive.

Example ASIN: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017DCF2VE

We did a test purchase and bought the product, which was delivered to us successfully. We also initiated a return and obtained a return address, but that avenue closed as the address was a UPS store.

Can anyone offer insight as to why they are doing this? This 3PL is only targeting our products, so I wonder if it's one particular vendor of ours that we cut off and they are getting back at us

u/allkindsofgainzzz · 1 pointr/Supplements

In the veggie caps the actual capsule is made with cellulose as opposed to gelatin. Here is an example of veggie caps and this is the yohimbine I've used. [This] (http://www.amazon.com/Yohimbine-Capsules-2-68mg-Promotes-Handles/dp/B00NB9YKBW/ref=sr_1_3?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1449201385&sr=1-3&keywords=yohimbine) is an example of gelatin caps. You can see the difference on the ingredient label. I have no idea if this affects the uptake of the yohimbine however. I bought the one I did simply because it's cheap and it's the first one I saw.

u/nishnasty · 1 pointr/Fitness

Hi everyone,

I hope I don't get flamed but I searched fittit, googled, checked out the sidebar, researched on Examine, and Amazon -- and I still had some questions. I am trying to get take care of my health better.

I am under 30, M, lacto-ovo vegetarian (allergic to eggs) trying to lose weight, gain muscle overall. I have currently ordered the follow:

  • Omega 3 - Algae capsules

  • Opti-Men multivitamin

  • Vintage Burn

  • Methyl-B12

  • Whey protein powder (I take it with hemp seeds (or nuts some nuts), skim milk, banana, and peanut butter powder)

  • and Creatine powder

  • Fiber Pills

    How I stack it currently:

Sometimes, I put my creatine powder in my protein shake before I head to work. I take 1 Omega-3 capsule, 1 multivitamin, 1 fiber pill around lunchtime. Then after a mid-day snack at some point, I take 1 methyl-B12. I head to the gym after work, then take another protein shake (this one is just with skim milk and whey powder).

Could anyone provide guidance? Am I on the right track? Thank you so much!

Get a portion control plate like this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008QHWUT8/ref=pd_aw_sims_6?pi=SS115&simLd=1
It gives what a balanced portion looks like as far as veggies, carbs and lean proteins go for diabetics.

u/Ed_Kel · 1 pointr/Fitness

If you don't feel like getting a scale and doing all that extra work, diabetes plates work well too for controlling portions

u/katamariofcats · 1 pointr/xxfitness

I really like Vega One. I make mine with about 1.5 cups of unsweetened almond milk and usually have them for breakfast or lunch. It uses pea protein. I haven't tried anything too crazy, but do occasionally sub 1/2 a cup of cold coffee for a more "mocha" flavor. My only gripe is that I still get clumps at the bottom of my blender bottle no matter how much I shake. I usually end up using a chopstick or knife to break up the tiny clump left at the bottom. Vega also comes in individual packets in a box of 10, which is what I bought to try it out before buying a big jar. I just bought a jar of the Chai flavor too, but haven't tried it yet. Reviews generally report that Chocolate and Chai are the best, with Berry being the worst.

u/joeasian · 1 pointr/Supplements

Apple cider vinegar pills. All the benefits without it eroding your teeth. Read the many positive reviews.

u/mraichelson · 1 pointr/4hourbodyslowcarb

I tried the ones from NewHealth Solutions for a couple months (on Amazon here), but tapered off since I wasn't really seeing much of a result with them after a while.

u/nycola · 1 pointr/loseit

My final word of advice to you - Atkins Caramel Chocolate Nut Roll - Its like a Snickers and a Baby Ruth had a baby with virtually no carbs and this was it. You cannot tell this is a low-carb food, and you can't beat the protein in it. I have tried every single low carb snack food on this earth and this is the only one I would ever recommend to someone.

Oh, and you can totally do this, go kick some ass :)
