Keyboards
Not sure what your budget is, a G510 is a good gaming keyboard, or if you have the money, a G19 is also a great keyboard. They are made by Logitech, and have programmable "G" keys, and the backlight keys make it great for gaming at night, and they have USB ports built in to them, which you could plug a wireless mouse, or anything else into. Also the G19 has a full color display that you can download different little "apps" for that show anything from a Youtube video, to the internal temp. of your rig. If you're looking to spend a little less money, the Razer Arctosa is a pretty decent gaming keyboard, that also has programmable macro keys as well. I currently have a Logitech G15 v.2, and that's what I was going to recommend for you, but I was unable to find it for sale anywhere online.
Mice
Probably one of the best gaming mice you could get would be a Razer Mamba I've used them before, and I absolutely loved it. It's wireless, the scroll wheel is lit by LEDs, and it has a charging dock, meaning there's no AA batteries needed. A DeathAdder or an Abyssus are also good Razer mice that are inexpensive, but work good. It doesn't necessarily need to be a "gaming" mouse per-se, I use a Logitech MX-610 and it's great for anything.
If you have any questions or would like to know if something else you find is a good mouse/keyboard, shoot me a pm and I'll be glad to help you out.
Make sure you get a wired mouse that is comfortable for you. There is no need to spend more than $50 unless you want programmable macros and bloatware. DPI, in general, is a marketing gimmick and doesn't really affect the performance of the mouse a whole lot. It's about consistent tracking and how it feels in your hand.
That being said if you have a wired mouse that you're comfortable using right now, stick with it. No reason to change what works.
Don't overlook a decent mouse pad. Whichever mouse you buy, there is likely an inexpensive soft pad ($20 or under) that will work with it. Get one. It will give you a consistent tracking surface. SteelSeries and Xtrac both make pretty nice soft pads. Hard pads are more expensive and generally have a narrower range of compatibility, so check before you buy to see if it works with your mouse.
Play on a medium/low sensitivity. Start by bottoming out your sensitivity, then slowly move it up until you can move comfortably. Do not start from the top and work your way down. You will be moving your mouse more, but you will be more accurate and consistent in your mouse movement in the long-run.
I also highly suggest you use raw mouse input in-game if you are not already. Mouse acceleration is baaaaad for developing consistent movement/accuracy. If you don't trust the game to do it for you (or you play other FPS games that do not support raw mouse input), check out this fix to remove all mouse acceleration in Windows 7.
FPS shouldn't affect your accuracy too much as long as it's consistent. Play some TDM if you want to get used to just running around aiming and shooting, then move back to conquest/rush once you're comfortable. You'll get better with time ;)
Listen my friend: If you haven't read the comic you are missing out. Please go grab book one. The show is good. I have some issues with it but I make it a point to get somewhere on Sundays to watch because it is good. The comic is amazing! Or you know, download it off the internet to check it out. I downloaded issues 1-51 along time ago. At around issue 30, I went to amazon and ordered everything I pirated. It was worth it.
Thank you for bringing the spot coolers to my attention. I've built countless amounts of rigs over the years for customers and yet have never come across or heard of them. Do you have any idea if they come without the blue LEDs? Better yet, can you turn the LEDs off? I have a Cooler Master HAF X with red and orange fans, so the blue would look pretty horrible. Also, how loud are they at full speed? I'm planning on adding another 560ti to my rig when I get the money and definitely want to utilize a fan system like this, as the top of the video card seems to just shit out some serious heat when it's under load. Right now I have something similar to this sitting above my GPU, and even though they do push good air, they are flimsy and unstable. I'm also going to assume you have them pointed to simply pass air over the bottom GPU and out of the back?
Sorry for the interrogation, you just seem to understand quality airflow and I'd like the input of someone who actually has experience with these fans.
Edit: Also, nice rig. :]
AND you save 15% if you schedule regular shipments!!! $12 for FIVE POUNDS.
These are my favorite. SO JUICY.

Also, Amazon's customer care is ridonkulous, you can complain about whatever and they'll give you concessions. Price dropped after purchase? Here's a refund of the difference! Shipment was late? Here's a $5 gift card!
After looking for a good but cheap pair of full-cover headphones years ago I settled with the Sennheiser HD 201. I'm still using them for gaming music and movies, not a single problem ever.
I'm sure you can find better now but I would recommend Sennheiser. I use a separate mic as I don't really like gaming headsets.
I'm using optical out for my speakers, therefore, my analog connections are available still on my soundcard. I have the battlelog chat setup to use my mic and direct audio to my analog speakers which is what my headset is using. Therefore, I hear the game in my nice speakers, and hear people talking in just my headset while I can also talk back to them.
I actually use the Xbox 360 headset and it works perfectly:

You have to use this to connect it to your pc which will allow you to use the speaker and the mic:

JVC HARX900 - IMO the hidden gem of the headphone world. They are amazing especially for the price. Makes BF3 sound incredible. I went back and forth between more expensive headphones before discovering these and I am very glad I purchased them.
Yeah, I see what you're saying. I guess it just may take some time to adjust to everything this game has or whatnot. Check out what FansTurnOnYou said, because he covered a lot of very useful stuff, especially regarding weapons/scopes themselves.
Also, I know that there is a guide for BF3, so if you don't mind spending $15, it may be useful, because I am sure they will cover weapons, gadgets in it.
Sometimes the cheapest mics sound the best. This is the one I use.
They are Sennheiser HD555s I got them for ~$80 but they have been discontinued and replaced by the HD558 I think
They are really nice headphones I can wear them for hours and sometimes forget I am actually wearing them
this is what i use. wonderful for choppers, works well for jets too but haven't played them much. I also use it for flight simming. http://www.amazon.com/Saitek-Aviator-Dual-Throttle-Joystick-PC/dp/B000I62PEK
Weird! 76hz? That's abnormal in my experience. Such an arbitrary number. Not that it's bad. The max frames per second you'll see with that monitor will be 76 from my understanding of refresh rate. Really that's not a bad monitor, nice response time, decent refresh rate. Good contrast ratio. Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.
Edit: Here's mine, just because. Mine is black though. Seems mine is 75hz too, but my output from my pc says 1080p 60hz. I'm gonna guess yours is similar.

i have sennheiser hd280 pro i am contemplating getting the sony surround sound headset instead of a clip on mic because it has surround sound. How would you rate the increase in surround sound versus the loss in sound quality, because I am guessing that the loss in quality may not be very much versus the gain of perspective.
There's a bunch of decent left-handed gamepads out there, but I don't think any of them have an analog thumb stick.
I use a CH fighterstick USB.
Or £8.33 in the UK.
25ft Wal-Mart $7.75
25ft Amazon $10.95
25ft Newegg $6.99
Cat-5 is Cat-5, if they are trying to sell you something that's "plated" in anything, it's just a scam for money. The ones I've listed will do just fine.
