Thank you for bringing the spot coolers to my attention. I've built countless amounts of rigs over the years for customers and yet have never come across or heard of them. Do you have any idea if they come without the blue LEDs? Better yet, can you turn the LEDs off? I have a Cooler Master HAF X with red and orange fans, so the blue would look pretty horrible. Also, how loud are they at full speed? I'm planning on adding another 560ti to my rig when I get the money and definitely want to utilize a fan system like this, as the top of the video card seems to just shit out some serious heat when it's under load. Right now I have something similar to this sitting above my GPU, and even though they do push good air, they are flimsy and unstable. I'm also going to assume you have them pointed to simply pass air over the bottom GPU and out of the back?

Sorry for the interrogation, you just seem to understand quality airflow and I'd like the input of someone who actually has experience with these fans.

Edit: Also, nice rig. :]

I would suggest something like one of these. It is kind of loud, but if sound isn't an issue it does do a pretty good job.

How would I deal with the vdroop? Back when I was undervolting my laptop years ago, I believe I ran into vdroop issues because the undervolts were stable even with 24 hours of Prime95, only to cause the laptop to crash when it was trying to power up from sleep mode. The power up from sleep mode was actually a faster and more accurate way of determining stable laptop undervolting than Prime95.

The 6 USB fans were scavenged from laptop coolers that were going to the trash, far cheaper than buying proper PCI slot blower fans (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Antec-Cyclone-Blower-Expansion-Cooling/dp/B000051299 ) for helping airflow across the GPU.

I could post a picture of the build, but there's a lot of tape, foam, cardboard and a zip-tie that I used to mount the 6 fans throughout the case (including one blower fan taped to the top of a GPU card). I did try to keep a consistent color scheme in the case though. What I found quite annoying was that I couldn't find a decent ~$40 case with solid side panel, which mean I had to put some effort into making the internals not look absolutely trash.

would one of these help expel the extra heat being pushed around in there?

Np, I would consider one of these two GPU fans. I have used the bigger one before but I don't know how many slots/space you have to work with. Here is the smaller version (1 slot). SLI is a bitch with space and the concept is quickly on it's way out and this is why I got the GTX Titan. Good luck! Edit: This (Antec 900) is a mid tower, note the one less fan.

I did install a PCIE fan like this and it helped cool the aluminum block. Also, I noticed that the Nexxxos version features a bracket for an 80mm fan. It would be nice if Alphacool included this in the Eiswolf.

would something like this work also adding a blower fan
