Lots of different designs are available and if you shop around you can get what fits your needs pretty cheaply. I hate to say it but Walmart has a decent selection. They have to serve a lot of freaks so they're going to have a good selection that are designed differently. The majority have a pulse setting but they sell standard ones too.

I recommend getting The Complete Far Side: 1980-1994. It has all of his Far Side comics, half of which are colored with water colors. The only downside is that the books are so huge, I can't read them while I take a dump.
