Just bought a 3700X for £309.99.
Price history
So the processor will cost about 94 dollars. Another hundred for the motherboard (in the link), plus who knows for RAM (16GB DDR3, easily a hundred, maybe can find a deal) and other accessories. We don't know the size fo his tower, what it can fit. Many people are suggesting he buy a new system, has not thrown out price nor asked if he can afford it. Easily looking at 300-400+ with this suggestion.

Thanks so much! Could you tell me what you think about pairing either this or this with this? One question I have is.. do those have better graphics than the 2x AMD Radeon HD 6750s I have? I saw someone say you could still use GPUs with the APU, but would either APU be better in the first place?
Sorry for asking so much, I'm just on a tight budget and don't want to spend a bunch and find out something isn't compatible or isn't even an upgrade.

What I would recommend is a 3200G brand new for $100: Here
A ryzen 2600 retails for $130: Here but you most likely can find it with a serious discount. So if I were you I would go with a 2600 as first choice and then maybe a 3200g. I assume you have a dedicated graphics card?
Also heres a benchmark comparing 3200g vs ryzen 2600: Here. This website takes hundreds of peoples benchmarks and averages them out. You can see the ryzen 2600 tends to be much more balanced.
