I just got the Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32. Quality seems real nice. Good eye relief, fairly light, clear glass, nice reticle, feels solid, clicky windage and elevation adjustments. Can't talk about durability as I just got it an hour ago, but it's got Vortex's VIP warranty so if anything happens that affects performance they'll replace or repair it free of charge. That includes getting the lens shot out by a bb.
Edit: Here's pics at 2x, 4x, and 7x. It's on a CCOP mount
Edit2: Don't have my airsoft gun with me right now but I have my nerf gun, and the mount fits!. Putting it on something rather than just holding it gives a better feel for the eye relief as well. At 2-5x it's super easy to get a good view, but at 6-7x it can take a bit of searching and you may have to scoot your head forward a bit. It could just be the gun I put it on because it does feel like I have to keep my head further back. I can update when I use it Saturday.
jesus. should i hop on it? Just built an ar with iron sights only HNNNNNNG do want
edit: ok i bought it and this mount https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QITM3WK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Not quote under $30, but I bought this one for an AR: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QITM3WK
It's just for plinking, and kind of a parts gun, but it has held on pretty well.
My Vortex Diamondback has 3.1-3.5" of eye relief. Seems a bit on the short side, but generous enough I would think for 223. Most of the other scopes I was looking at were within 3-4 inches as well.
I'm not sure which mount to get, cantilever or scope rings. I know the height has to be pretty high just because the stock is in line with the receiver and not offset.
What do you think of one of these? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QITM3WK/

So far, I'm looking at this mount and this scope
