I went from a Dell keyboard to a Logitech G19 to my current corsair K70.

If this one gives out i'll probably go back to a cheap rubber dome keyboard.
Tbh for gaming in my personal view keyboards make bugger all difference.

With the G19 the screen was good for seeing who was talking on TS but that's about it, the screen didn't get much in the way of support and no one used it. After a while you get to know voices anyway.

The 36 macro keys were only ever used for saving scripting commands that were commonly used in game which ended up becoming redundant after the group I was in started saving those scripting commands as short snippets (e.g #createvehicle 'RHS_M1A1')

Go with your budget but I'd suggest getting something like a TrackIR if you want to improve in Arma or a comfy mouse ratehr than a keyboard.

I often rest the side of my thumb on the wrist rest as a support and use that to elevate the rest of my hand slightly.

You can get that keyboard new for $140 with prime shipping on Amazon. You may need to lower your price a bit. I'm in the market for one of you decide to significantly drop it.

It depends on what you prefer, for around this price range. If you are looking for those clicks I would go with blue switches. Corsair is a great brand. Check out the K70, it has great reviews (these are the speed versions, not blue or red). I would research

Hey, thanks! It's a Corsair K70 Rapidfire RGB (https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-RAPIDFIRE-Mechanical-Keyboard-Backlit/dp/B01D8H09TS). This one in particular has MX Cherry Speed switches which are VERY sensitive with 1.2 mm actuation points. Good for gaming but can take some getting used to for typing. If you want good gaming and typing I would go for the MX Cherry Brown switches. Corsair's keyboards are pretty good, I've been using them for about several months and they feel solid.

Quick rundown of Cherry switches:

-Blues: Clickey (very loud)



-Red: Linear feel. No sound when going down unless you hit the bottom of the keyboard.


-Brown: A mix between the two, still quiet. (IMO it feels like a rubber dome keyboard)


-MX Speed: A red with a shorter travel distance for the key to activate


-MX Black: Kinda like a very stiff red. (Super tiring to type with)

In a lot of situations, there isn't much difference between high end normal keyboards and high end gaming keyboards other then the aesthetics. For your use case, I would suggest some low actuation force switches, maybe something with smaller actuation distance like mx speed switches. Gateron clears would also be a nice option.

If you can test it out in a store first though, that would be way better than just buying it. Trying out any type of mechanical keyboard in a store would give you a decent feel for how it would affect your hands. Except for really crappy ones like razer.

In my opinion (I'm probably quite biased), I like Corsair for basic, reliable RGB products.

Keyboard - K65 (tenkeyless) and K70 (tenkey)

Mouse - I personally use the Corsair Sabre, but it is really up to personal preference (buttons, etc)

Mouse Pad - I use the SteelSeries QcK, but that's only cus I grabbed it off Amazon because it was cheap and had good reviews. It is a decently big mousepad (~30x~25cm)

This one is much more expensive but really goddamn tasty. Best keyboard I've ever owned.

Apparently you can hook it into games and it does stuff. Like when I level up in Diablo 3 my keyboard flashes in excitement.

I've got a Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition (Cherry MX Blue) and some of the switches are starting to get funky (0 and 1 keys will double-press sometimes). I'm looking at getting a full-size, individually-backlit, cherry mx blue keyboard under $200. What would you guys recommend? Basically, I'd like something like the Razer Blackwidow Chroma, but I don't want their off-brand switches. I feel like it'll be difficult to find one with that level of customizability unless I go with the Corsair K70, but that only comes with the Cherry MX Speed switches. How do those compare with the blues?


EDIT: Apparently the speeds are basically reds with a higher actuation point and less force required. Basically, that's exactly what I don't want :/ I have browns at work, but they're not clicky enough for my tastes personally. I love my blues.


EDIT 2: Just found this Corsair STRAFE RGB, but I'm not sure I like the media keys. It'd be better than the FN+F3 setup that I have on my current one, though. Looks like it allows for individually-backlit key adjustment, but the shipping time is like 1-2 months. Ouch!

My current mouse functions just fine. It's Razer Naga HEX if that matters.
I play mostly League of Legends and my only FPS is RSS occasionally, so I could use about any mouse and not have a problem.

So I have a friend who has bought the Razer BlackWidow Ult. and Razer DeathAdder Chroma and said they were pretty good. I have heard that DeathAdder has doubleclick issues and that they both use cheap plastic.
For my keyboard I have recently heard that Corsair Gaming K70 RGB RAPIDFIRE Mechanical Keyboard https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-RAPIDFIRE-Mechanical-Keyboard-Backlit/dp/B01D8H09TS is good and was wondering if this is better than the original K70 RGB or K95 RGB and is worth the money.

Well I saw the DeathAdder it is popular but I have heard that the Logitech G303 is good. I have heard that if you get some brands key board you should also get their mice or vice versa which is why I strayed towards Razer since their synapse works well is simple and they have ok mice and ok keyboards. Not sure about Corsair mice since I haven't heard too much.
Questions Is is fine to have Logitech mouse and Corsair keyboard? Or vice versa? How about with different brands like Razer and Logitech or Corsair and Logitech?
Additional Info: Budget: none just not exorbitant like $200 + keyboard unless they are REALLY worth the money.

I just bought a Corsair Gaming K70 RGB RAPIDFIRE for my new PC. Absolutely love it. The cherry red "speed" switches ("rapid fire" brand name here) have half the travel distance of regular keys. If you want speed, I would say that's the switch you're looking for. Super accurate too.

Depends on if you play MMOs (more keys for functionality) or not. I have a Corsair K70 Lux RGB RapidFire (with Silver CherryMX switches for fast actuation) and I love it. Here is the amazon link if you're interested.
