Wouldn't say this is a great deal considering that this model regularly sits at $93.99 on Amazon, but it is something.
FWIW, I purchased the full-sized 15 button Stream Deck for $100 on Amazon Prime Day. It's only been that low a couple times before, but this Mini model also regularly sits at $93.99, so meh.
That's of course not to say you shouldn't purchase this either. I'd say 6 buttons is plenty for most people.

I believe this may actually be the lowest price it has been. CamelCamelCamel says the lowest has been $66.79.
The larger sibling has also matched its historical low of $99.99.
Oddly, CamelCamelCamel doesn't appear to recognize that this deal is happening. So I guess it does not track deal of the day prices.

EDIT: Apparently I should have said "medium sibling" because there is also a 32 key version now. Is that new? I swear I just remember the 6 and 15 key versions. The 32 key version is not on sale.
Looks like this thing. I'd assume that it is just a "keyboard" and you can bind the individual buttons to xsplit shortcuts. (And apparently do custom icons, which is pretty cool.)
I'm not a cockpit builder by any means, but I've recently gotten hold of an Elgato Stream Deck and it makes a fantastic button box. It seems like it might be simple enough to fit into a small box. It wouldn't support things like gauges, but could be used as a transponder interface, MCP, EFIS controls, and I'm sure a multitude of other things. I created my own templates for it so that each button looks like one from a 737 NG MCP.

I stream so it's just easier using two different mice/keyboards. I've gotten a Stream Deck since then so don't really use the 2nd keyboard unless I'm editing or something.

You can buy most of the above items on Ebay for cheaper if youre patient to wait on the shipping. I did and significantly cut down on the costs (WA-87 for 460 instead of 599 for an open box never used, 260 for a slightly used Yamaha MG12XU, etc)
I use 3 monitors, two 60hz 24” 1080p monitors plugged into my streaming PC. Then I use a 240hz 24” 1080p monitor (I recommend Dell or Asus) on my gaming PC. I use ONE mouse and keyboard to control both my gaming pc and streaming pc through the use of freeware called, “Input Director”
What I’ve linked for you is essentially my studio level setup except with faster PC’s. The 32 thread threadripper will shred through 1080p60fps encoding at medium/slow, BUT... depending on your urge I would wait until Ryzen 3 comes out and we can build a comparable/faster PC for the same or cheaper price.
Sure you could cut the streaming PC, trick out your gaming rig with a fewer higher end options that provide minimal performance increases, then drain your in-game performance significantly streaming on the same PC.
Good luck, the streaming setup above will set you apart from most of your peers but what I linked above is just the hardware, the artistic side I chose for the backdrop of my stream ran another 250-300 bucks.

Basically just an external pad that you can assign hotkeys to, to do whatever you want.
I have mine doing:
Opening programs / games or websites
Controlling OBS functions (Controlling events that take place during my streams like transitions or special effects or my AFK screen for example)
You can really have it do whatever you want, you can also create multiple folders and have really infinite pages of hotkeyes programmed in it, and have whatever icons you like uploaded onto it, each button is a miniature display.

You can change sources, change scenes, use sound effects, do green screen effects, send out tweets, make clips, make stream markers......pretty much everything you can do in OBS can be turned into a button on this thing. It even works with Stream elements and obs.live
I gave up waiting and changed my rig instead. I picked up a Stream Deck and bound the abilities to the keys I wanted to (even lets me customize the icon on the key). I appreciate the option to save multiple layouts on the keypad. Pricey option ($128 USD). Worth it, IMO.

I am having troubles with my headset. I am using the Sony MDR-XB950BT Bluetooth headset and some generic logitech bluetooth USB dongle. I have the dongle plugged in on the front usb ports of my case so that it has a better signal I guess. While in games (Mostly Overwatch and CSGO) it sometimes cuts out, but the bluetooth is still connected. It has a built in mic so I make sure to disable it in recording devices and I make the headset the default device in playback devices. It stays connected to bluetooth but sometimes it just stops outputting audio. This only happens in games and even when it cuts out in game, if I go to a Youtube video it outputs audio. So is it the game? I didn't change any in game sound settings.

It’s a little button pad that you can program to make do specific tasks while streaming.
Another option is a mini midi controller (used for sampling music, but can be programmed with software to function the same as a streamdeck)

Does he stream PC or from console.. If he is streaming with console and has a pc to do the work, a capture card is also an incredible thing that will help out productivity.

I'm seriously considering the Elgato Stream Deck. It's basically a small LCD screen with buttons, you can customise hotkeys with your programs, and assign different symbols to each button. Because it's digital, you can have multiple levels of buttons as well, as in you make a folder for Photoshop, and when you click on it, the buttons switch to a bunch of photoshop shortcuts you've preset.
The reviews seems decent, but it's a brand new product, so it's in it's infancy. I hope more companies will come out with something like this.

Well, right now I am still undergoing ...oh so soooo many test , I basically work on my computer from a recliner. I have not had any income for about 3 years now ...so my options are limited as to what I can do... but I am thankful for what I have. I have become convinced that prolonged computer work should perhaps be consider in a recliner environment. My Doctors are trying to process the approvals to put me on disability. If that happens I may be able to afford a motorized lift recliner. That will go a long way in allowing me to be more productive on my computer. My plan is to use 80/20 products to build a shell around my chair that hangs my computer equipment. I already do that ...but the 80/20 will be more efficient . The other major help for me as far as productivity enhancement has been the Elgato Stream Deck. I feel like it is primarily marketed to the "gaming/streaming" community ...but to me that is just a minuscule iceberg tip compared to the massive productivity market. Before all this happen to me I taught computer courses in a very small college for 15 years ...and now I really don't want to roll over and just die (well most days). So the teacher has to learn new things ! I have a closed MediaWiki site for my personal research and library and develop tutorials and videos for this twitter generation.
