I like self-contained liquid coolers because while I can rewire a house like a badass, plumbing and me have agreed to disagree.

The EVGA monitoring/overclocking software is pretty nice too. The GPU sits at about 30c idle, and I haven't really stressed it yet. I probably won't overclock much as I prefer quieter PCs over 3% speed improvements ;)

I just sold mine for $660 to a local miner and I thought I overcharged... geez

The thing is that the GTX 780 isn't really a bad card. The 1070 only offers a 60% performance boost so you're paying $100 for each 10% increase in performance. The main advantage of the 1070 is the additional VRAM for running games at higher resolutions. You can always pawn the 780 on ebay for ~$150.

Is it very difficult to install a GPU with a hybrid fan/water cooler unit? I've never/don't plan to use water cooling. It's this EVGA card (https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Watercooling-Support-08G-P4-6288-KR/dp/B01LHYIFE0) and it advertising easy installation (just plug in and play). My other question is if it's worth it over a standard 1080 GPU.

I really want to get the EVGA 1080 FTW Edition Water Cooled video card, but I've been hearing they're having trouble with black screens and heating problems. Has this been resolved now? Is it safe to buy the card? If not, what is a good alternative?

Looking at upgrading my GPU and found EVGA makes a 1080 with AIO water cooling. Is there any benefit to a card like this or is it more or less a gimmick.

Hey guys, been looking at this 1080 and it seems like a really good deal.
My current build is a H110m mobo, i5-6500, 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4-2133, 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD and 550W PSU. I play on a 1920x1080 60hz monitor. Would it be worth it to buy the 1080 now and sell my 1060 or will it drop even further in the future? I also plan on upgrading to Zen2 when that drops.
