This is the cable I got. AVS forums has the research below.

If you need significant length or are winding through tight areas you will want to go with the Monoprice SlimRun AV HDR High Speed Cable for HDMI-Enabled Devices models. They are fiber optic and are as good as HDMI cables get according to lab testing. If you have Prime, on Amazon you can find Ruipro Fiber cables that are comparatively excellent

It's common knowledge in most all AV receiver owners forums on AVS that the test of removing the AVR from the HDMI signal path for 4K HDR passthrough means just the opposite of what it seems. The 4K chipsets in these receivers don't boost the signal enough with certain HDMI cables necessitating using either Certified Premium or hybrid fiber depending on the run. 20 feet and under I'd go Monoprice CP. Over that I'd go hybrid fiber Monoprice if ARC isn't needed or Ruipro if ARC's needed and a longer run. At shorter runs BlueJeans cable has their Series 1E HDMI cable that has been tested to pass full 4K HDR but probably wouldn't have passed the Certified Premium bend test so they didn't submit it.

This is what I am using

to connect projector to soundbar. Amazon basic high speed 6 feet HDMI cable to connect ATV4k to soundbar HDMI 3 port.

Okay, thanks. I am also looking at fiber optic hdmi cables, like this one. Do you have any thoughts or experience on that?

I have ruled out the cable issue today. I purchased a fiber-optic active HDMI that support 4K@60hz 4:4:4 (this one: https://www.amazon.com/RUIPRO-Fiber-Cable-Support-Subsampling/dp/B06XGDFCSC ).

Nevertheless the behavior is unchanged and is exactly the same as my old cable. I cant enable HDR at 4K@60hz, but 4k@30hz is fine. HDR at 4K@60hz worked prior to the update.

Also, I installed the latest 1803 build yesterday that was released. The problem still persists.

I have an rupio HDMI which they say could do ARC from over 25 feet (https://www.amazon.com/RUIPRO-Fiber-Cable-Support-Subsampling/dp/B06XGDFCSC) but it didnt work for me. It works and trasmits everything except ARC so I can't use my LG E7 netflix app to play audio since it won't travel back to the AVR (Denon X4300H). So to get Atmos AND Video I guess i need to use the Xbox. Nvidia shield will transmit the proper video signal but not atmos and my LG OLED TV will also play the video signal, but won't send back the Atmos audio to my AVR because the ARC doesn't work for my cable which is about 30 or 35 feet.
