Attach a lockbox with your key inside to the rear towing eye or trailer hitch on your car.

u/ibopm · 21 pointsr/LateStageCapitalism

For context:

> They're lockboxes. If you know the combination you can open it and get a key out for a unit. Realtors use them when they've got open units to let prospective renters in, and I guess AirBnB hosts are doing the same thing now. It's not uncommon to see one or two outside an apartment building, but this is just...unbelievable.

Thanks to /u/robertbieber for the explanation. Here's an Amazon link to better illustrate what those things are.

Next, get a lock box like this. You can lock all sorts of keys in it! Use it for keys to handcuffs, a locking gag, whatever. He can lock things on you, go to work, and then text you the lock box code when he gets to work or whenever he feels like it.

u/yammerant · 15 pointsr/funny

That's a key holder, ya dingus.

u/nsgiad · 14 pointsr/vandwellers

It's a padlock that also holds a key or something small

Key lock box that I attach to door handle, roof rack, or trailer hitch.

Get childproofing on at least one of your house doors so she can not lock you out. A flip lock has helped prevent my kid from leaving the home from my main door, and I've got child proofing on the lock for my second door which he can not operate yet. For inner doors use the Door Monkey high up that she can not reach (no installation needed for these). Also, consider getting a key lock box for your house key for the day she figures out how to bypass the child locks and locks you out. I've got mine in the garage so it isn't exposed to the elements. I've got a family member who was locked out by their kid so I learned from that!

One thing that has worked really well with my son is that I'll ask him (if i.e. he is refusing to leave the park), if he wants me to carry him or if he wants to walk, or i.e. if he wants to put on his shoes or if he needs me to. He'll usually want to do it himself then even if he'd been objecting before.

Another thing I learned from a family member is that you need to be careful how you let your kid treat you (and be aware that your kid is watching how you treat others and doesn't understand sarcasm at this young age). For example, I used to let my son take my tablet any time he wanted to play with it when I was using it (because I would just go to the laptop then so it wasn't a big deal to me). But then he started taking things from other people -- now I require him to ask me politely for it, and wait for me to hand it to him instead of letting him just take it.

I lock this around my car door handle. Fits a VW key and everything that touches the car is rubberized.

u/n0t_5hure · 6 pointsr/sandiego

i've got one of these lockboxes. it works pretty well, but read the reviews. the metal on the dials corrodes pretty easily from salt water, so i keep a can of wd40 in my car and a rag and spray it down periodically. it is big enough to hold an electronic key fob, so long as it isn't giant.

Get a lock. I used to leave my keys in a tire or hide them somewhere but I didn't want to push my luck. I've been using one of these for a few years and it works great:

u/crashkg · 4 pointsr/LifeProTips

I use one of these. You set your own combination, lock it to your car and you're good to go. It even works with cars like a prius with smart keys, just don't lock it in a place to close to the door otherwise someone could just walk up and put their hand in the door to open it.

You can buy combination lock key safes that you can keep your key in and lock it to something. Me and my friend used to use one when he went kite surfing.

u/Ronjoe_CB · 3 pointsr/chastity

I keep my keys in a lockbox, which I used to keep locked on my closet's hanger bar, dials facing the wall. This exploited my laziness; it was an incredible pain in the ass to open it, which kept me from unlocking on a whim just to jack off. Nowadays I just keep it easily accessible in my bathroom cabinet for cleaning sessions, as I've lost all desire to unlock for anything else.

In the past, I also sometimes left my keys in my car, and parked it on my university's campus, then rode the bus home. Retrieving the keys either meant waiting until morning for buses to run again, or taking a very long bike ride back to campus. That exercise always killed my desire to unlock, so I often just rode back home without the keys.

You can also use that same lockbox with Emlalock or Carlilock, and give us control of your lockup. ;)

Get a lock box for $20, or link your landlord this:

u/-AJ · 3 pointsr/legaladvice

You could buy this $29 key lock, put your key inside it when you sleep, and attach it to your bed, doorknob, wherever.

u/Soulfly37 · 3 pointsr/sandiego

I just bought This and my god damned key won't fit in it. I guess next is to try what you put up.

my key is also the fob for a dodge ram. so irritating it wont fit.

u/jmini17 · 2 pointsr/surfing

What about this key compartment lock?

put it around a tow point, door handle or hitch hole. I've seen them on bike racks so you don't know which car too.

u/rohach · 2 pointsr/LongDistance

You can get one of these lock boxes for keys. Drop your key in there and give him the location and combo. He can retrieve the key without you being there. Depending on where you live, you can put it somewhere away from your place like a bike rack a stair railing.

u/ReluctantlyHipster · 2 pointsr/BDSMcommunity

From some experience, realtor's lock boxes work well but are a pain to put keys into/take keys out. You can find a bunch of time-lock safes which are nice and easy but they take away a fun aspect of the keyholder having direct control over the key. The perfect option seems to be the ChronoVault but that is very expensive so I haven't tried it.

About some of the other devices. When I am in chastity I like to be completely trapped. Even if I tried my best, I don't want to be able to get out. The above 3 items work well and are relatively foolproof unless you know how to pick locks. I don't like the plastic locks because they are pretty easy to remove and re-do.

I hope this helped.. Good luck!

this might solve your problem with the key cord

This one.

Basically the ones that realtors use for homes.

We bought a lockbox on amazon for $20, but I’m sure you could get one at your local store. The one we have can attach to the RV handle and has a 4 digit code. (Master Lock 5400D Set Your Own Combination Portable Lock Box, 5 Key Capacity, Black

If you have the proximity thing, wrap the fob in foil first.

I use one of these on my car that has a "dumb" key:

and one of these on my car that has a smart key with keyless entry:

Problem solved!

Related side note / possible solution:

I always have a key storage box outside of my place. This way, friends or out of town guests can have access to my house when needed or I can let my self in if I get locked out. Plus I can take it with me when I move.

In your situation - if you live together for much longer - you could agree not to give out keys, but the code to the box when needed. Then change the code as needed to prevent access to those who should not have it.

> 1) How do I put the lock on? Is it easy? are there instructions? and what if he gets erect while I'm trying to put it on?

The lock itself will be the easiest part, assembling the cage is harder. Typically you assemble the base ring behind the balls, slide the cage on in front of the balls, and there's a pylon you slide the lock through that connects it all. If he gets erect, either wait it out or "discourage" it (ice, pain on it or elsewhere, etc).

> 2) Is it realistic to make him wear it for an entire week at a time if it is his first time?

His first time in chastity, a week may be pushing it. His first time with a keyholder, see if he has had it on before and on his own.

> I'm busy during the week so I can only see him once a week

> 3) Should I keep in contact with him during the week?

> 4) Are there two keys? Should he get to keep one just in case for emergencies?

Lumping all this together. Get Kik, Skype, or just good old text messaging to keep in contact. Since this is at least new to you, I recommend it. Some guys like no contact during lockup, some do, err on contact.

As for an emergency key, those are generally considered a good idea. I'd recommend a realtor lockbox he can keep the key in that you set the code for. Though I have seen more portable solutions like those numbered tags through a Tic Tac container holding the key (can't get to the key without breaking a uniquely numbered seal).

> 5) Okay the big question. What happens when I let him out? Should I make him masturbate in front of me? or give him a handjob? I wouldn't be comfortable going further than this (like the prostate massage etc).

This answer can vary from person to person and is up to the two of you.

u/ilovesojulee · 1 pointr/HelpMeFind

A lockbox, similar to this or this. You leave a spare set of keys in there and it's only accessible by the pin code.

u/wanderingkale · 1 pointr/cyclocross

Take your car key (or clicker fob) off the ring, lock the doors. Place it in one of these (or similar). Lock it through your car door handle (or roof rack bar, etc.). That's what I do. Problem solved.

u/BeatAngMoh · 1 pointr/HongKong

You can find some service which will forward your purchase to HK. There are many of them.

u/EskomojoE · 1 pointr/benzodiazepines

Get a safe or a lock box. Or do what I do and get both. Then put them in the lock box, then put that in the safe.

Its not guaranteed to stop you but it will slow you down.

These are great especially if you travel.
Plus if you're in your car with it and a cop has suspension they can't get into it with out a warrant.

Edit: sorry for the shitty link. It's the master lock key box, the kind you see out side apartment buildings

u/shemp33 · 1 pointr/chastity

This isn't too far from the solution provided by what most folks on use -- which is the Master Lock real estate one...

In the case of the Emlalock (for self lockers) - they take a picture without looking, and upload that to the site, lock the key in, and spin the dials. Once the allotted time expires, the site shows you the picture of the key.

u/garrettd714 · 1 pointr/surfing

when I had a regular key, I just brought it with me.
when I got a electronic key/alarm/fob thing, I got one of these: and lock in on one of my rims.

u/bugchild9 · 1 pointr/Swimming

I bought this for when I go surfing. I have never had any problems.

u/Frappes · 1 pointr/surfing

Get yourself one of these I lock mine on a tow hitch under my car. Cheap price for a tiny piece of mind especially in SF. Haven't had any issues around ob in 2 years I've had it.

u/soupcancooloff · 0 pointsr/AirBnB

airbnb is a hospitality platform, like it or not their end customer commonly demands late check-in. all the reps i've dealt with were very professional, so maybe you were unlucky in speaking w a bad apple. i agree with others that you shouldn't use your 3 cancellations for this.

my question is: if you're superhost, why do you use instant booking? instant book pushes listings to the top of the results but not above superhosts.

and as others have mentioned, try this:
