Notes:

*Currently 15.5 feet from the screen, think I went too small a screen. Have initiated a return and replacing the screen with a 135 Elite Screen Manual. (Not SRM)

*Im ready for the hate- but wall mounted the LS50's w/ these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GUITK24/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also put 3inches of wooden block on the back of them which means its over 11inches from the back of the speaker to the wall. With 3 toddlers having them on stands isn't going to work.

I bought these wall stands for my elac b6.2 and they are fine, not sure if yours are bigger or not.

I just screwed these into the chair. Throttle is held down with Velcro and the stick is screwed in to the other.

The speakers are front ported, so you could probably wall mount them, gaining placement options to boot.

u/bayssmekanique · 4 pointsr/battlestations

Yes, they are attached to the arms using speaker mounts for bookshelf speakers. I'll put the link below. Modified them to attach to the end of the monitor mounts in place of the VESA bracket.

You can place the speaker on the wall with product like that also. Would save you floor and desk space!

Speaker mount My desk has limited depth, and I need these speakers to be as far back as possible, so I didn't install that curve thingy cover plate on the back.

u/Mis4nthrope · 1 pointr/battlestations

Made my own VESA mount plates with some left over metal, mounted into wall studs.

Thanks man :)

Yeah, I had a KBM setup on top of my desk where the MIDI controller is, but after working a desk job for 4 years, basically with workstations on the edges of counters, I had to get something with negative incline to prevent it from getting worse.

Regarding the mounts, I'm using these!

u/Miracle420 · 1 pointr/audiophile

Yea I just bought a wall arm that rotates and swivels! :) Wali Bookshelf Wall Mount

I think I need some molly bolts or something really heavy duty cause I don’t think I can find studs on that wall.

u/homeboi808 · 1 pointr/hometheater

Yes, but I don't think that mount gets narrow enough, this one would work I believe.

u/magew · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

i used these. they are drilled into studs, so they aren't falling anytime soon

u/nickd009 · 1 pointr/bassnectar

Can't resell until 3 years after purchase.

For this steep of a discount, money isn't an object, I want what's best as I'll keep this equipment for the next decade or more.

Sounds like the consensus is the 580's for the front and 162's for the rear. I plan on picking up these mounts for the rears WALI One Pair of Side Clamping Bookshelf Speaker Mounting Bracket with Tilt and Swivel for Large Surrounding Sound Speakers SWM201, Black.

I'm going to read up on the CMMD technology a bit. I can't find a ton of reading material on PolyPlas (what the JBL Studio 230 uses for it's woofer material).

Can anyone comment on the JBL Studio 230 vs the Infinity Reference 162?

I have those for the fronts.

Rears are using the included flush wall mount.

Sides are screwed directly into the joists. Don’t tell anyone.

Thanks for your reply. I purchased this mount: https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Clamping-Bookshelf-Surrounding-SWM201/dp/B01GUITK24/

Here is the manual: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/A1tDaEAjQlS.pdf

Based on the linked manual, it seems the wall mount uses: 45mm Lag Bolts for the mounting in the studs.

u/polypeptide147 · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

1: Rather than just getting an extension, you could just get a 25ft RCA-3.5mm cable for $10. Or an extension would work too.

2: Yupp! You can't screw into the back of them. Instead, you'd need something like this to clamp on to them. Besides that, they're sealed, so putting them up against a wall won't be a problem.

Has anyone wall mounted a Polk signature speaker?
I need to mount them high, angling them down. I'm looking at these mounts but not sure if they will grab the speakers rounded corners:

Thanks!!

I personally have the krk 5” speakers and I’ve loved them for 5 years and still goin.

Whatever you get, I’d recommend getting some stands and pulling your entire set up away from the wall a little so you don’t have crazy bass reflections from the speakers being too close to the wall.

If that’s not an option I’d recommend getting speakers with forward bass ports and some wall mounts like

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GUITK24/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6GWvCbS80D1K0

And get them ear level (or as close to as possible.)

u/TheCrickler · 1 pointr/audiophile

Very nice setup you got there! :) Jealous of the mini-fridge.

My main concern is that raising the monitors will make you uncomfortable. Could you possibly mount speakers on either side of the monitors with something like this?
