I agree with everyone else. Someone bumped you. When two slick bumpers meet at low speed usually there's no paint damage just plastic collapsing or folding. I've had it happen to me before. I got this one for my 2018 after we got a few dings from pulling the stroller out of the back. Despite the description saying it doesn't work with the power lift gate, it does, you just have to be mindful of the placement. Haven't noticed it since I stuck it on back in February.

Took a Gamble with the cheapest one onAmazon. Install was perfect, both corners poke out about 2-3 mm but way way better than I expected.

Same here, I own a 2018 Touring same shade, I'm debating between the Mazda official bumper guard (sells for about 100 bucks) and the one on Amazon

I do want to look at it in person next time I go to the dealership, slightly worried about the reflection caused on the tail gate due to its high reflective nature. Have you looked at it in person, as my thoughts, does it complement the look?

Is this one missing something for it to only cost 50? Do I need any special parts or is this the complete bumper?

Oops, sorry! The bumper I bought fits like a charm and then I got it repainted for $250 found a local shop. I kept costs down by installing the bumper myself. It's REALLY not difficult. It's just a few plugs you're pulling out and a few screws.

Also that seems in the high end, the lowest I was quoted before I found my $250 guy was about 400 the highest was $800 but that also didn't include labor to put the bumper on.

removing all the screws in the wheel wells then drilling holes in the wheel well bonnets to zip strip them secure.

Drilling and installing these in the fender/bumper.

On MKIII+ you'll have to mod/dremmel out an area on the inside of the bumper bracket to install the quick release hardware.

Then just running 4 of the front bolts than can be removed with a Torx bit and socket wrench in about 2 minutes or less.
