Shit. I bought this to vent. Soleaire Super Monsoon SA-SM-1HP-GY Grey Air Mover Carpet Dryers for Professional Carpet Cleaner Janitoral Floor Dryer Services 1 HP CE Certified Water Damage Flood Restoration https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LA1J98Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_AkcSzbY8X9YFB

We have this cleaner... Hoover Turbo Scrub Carpet Cleaner https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G5KMQDI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XhXVCbBBNKTFE

With kids and pets it's nice to be able to shampoo small areas when needed in addition to whole house deep cleaning.

This is the one I bought

BISSELL Turboclean Powerbrush Pet Upright Carpet Cleaner Machine and Carpet Shampooer, 2085 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074L775XC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1ZRxDb4NNQQ4C

It’s a SMALL unit however.

It’s not the best for doing large areas and it doesn’t heat the water like larger more expensive units.

But, it’s small, affordable, extremely easy to use, and does a rather good job.

It’s best for picking up after dog accidents and kids spilling juice.

Beats the rag method.

If you’re looking for a big boy then I’d go with something like

BISSELL DeepClean Lift-Off Deluxe Upright Pet Carpet Cleaner Machine, 24A4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AZBIL6E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_h2RxDbPV7BYZQ

That’s being said I’ve owned a larger busses unit like this before. More parts and complexity means more points of failure. My last big boy was repaired twice.

because you have yet to see this and realize you don't ever need a mop bucket ever again.

As a pet owner, this is the best purchase I have made. Our one cat had issues with the couch too, and this is the only thing that got the smell out. It is super loud, but it's been nothing but reliable for the last two years.

Also we have these (I couldn't find a UK link, but maybe you can find something similar) and we keep them on our couch when we're not around. We haven't had an accident since.

Meh. Put a few towels down to get to sleep then fabreeze when dry.

Eventually, this can be used to clean the mattress. We got it for an incontinent elderly cat, and it's helping with potty training. AMAZEBALLS.

geht so.

We have a Hoover carpet cleaner similar to this one which does a pretty good job and isn’t much larger than a regular vacuum cleaner.

u/Mood93 · 2 pointsr/AutoDetailingDeals

If you can use a power outlet or extension cord, get this RugDoctor Carpet and Upholstery spray wetvac. It includes the handheld spray vac attachment that's needed to get into the tight spaces of a vehicle. This is a great rug cleaner for home use, so it's a good long term value even if you don't need it for your vehicle very often.

If you want an entirely battery powered vacuum that you can leave in your vehicle to quickly pickup any spill, then I suggest either Hoover 3 Gal wetvac or Hoover 6 gal wetvac, along with two one-gallon plastic pressure sprayers, one with plain water for rinsing and the other for a detergent soap mix to cut and lift staining liquids before they have a chance to set, spoil, mold, or smell.

The bottom of milk cases in stores are saturated with spoiled milk. You have to sponge clean the bottom of every gallon to prevent the transfer to your vehicle, and even that might not be entirely effective. Probably need a couple layers of news paper on top of a plastic tarp, to prevent milk and newspaper inkstains.

So if you’re in a bind using a carpet cleaner like a Bissell ($105 refurb thru Amazon prime) is a good way to DIY (see video here - about 7 minute mark). Aside from temperature, the big difference between a pro level and consumer level extractor is the amount of solution being able to be put out and sucked back up. This isn’t as big a deal for regular smells, but for a protein based spill any leftovers not extracted can be eaten by bacteria at a later date and the smell returns.

Ozone generators will kill off the bacteria and remove the smell, but the protein will remain. Same with chlorine odor bombs. If you don’t have a professional that can do interiors, the best solution would be to remove the seat and use an enzyme cleaner, extract that using a bissell, followed by an upholstery cleaner, extract, and then use fans to air dry (no heat). I would not use an extractor on head liner because you can cause the fabric to sag ( see 5 minute mark for cleaning headliner).

One thing to consider is that although their might not be any detailers in your area, there are almost always fire, flood, mold recovery services. There’s a lot of overlap in equipment and services for odor removal and since it’s small vehicle you might be able to work out a deal. Hell you could even call crime scene clean up and see if they could do anything or maybe let you rent an extractor and a fan for a day.

Let me know how it turns out & if you have any other questions just post or PM. I did a ton of research after my horrific milk incident and I’d be happy to help someone avoid the same fate!

The rugs in my house were starting to smell like pee from a new puppy I just got. Bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B078YZ586K?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Used it yesterday for the first time, no more per smell. I’ve never seen anything as nasty as the black water I dumped out after cleaning, it’s like they’re brand new. Would highly recommend.

we bought a Bissell ProHeat carpet cleaner maybe ~15 years ago. It works AWESOME. I've used it at a number of places including my old shitty apartment which had very old beige carpeting and my fixer upper house which also had super light beige carpeting (that must have been a popular color in the 90's). It's amazing how much stuff comes up and even old stains go away. If you're diligent with the sucking up the rinse water part, the carpet is dry within a few hours. I use ours every few months (I have a few cats whose favorite hobby is puking in inconvenient places) and I can see a very definitive difference between now and when we first moved in. You can get the cleaning fluid at places like Walmart, Target etc.

This is similar to what I have:

I bought one of these little upholstery and carpet cleaners and have used it on everything from both of our cars, to our new couch. Thing works like a champ. I usually start with just hot water for a few passes and then see if it even needs any detergent.

I just used a regular carpet cleaner with a wand attachment for cleaning upholstry. It was a bissell kinda like this one.

I'm using something similar to this one (a German brand though). 2 liters, make sure that the inside is stainless steel and when you make lipo C don't use the heating option (heating destroys vitamin C).

I have a Bissell floor cleaner amazon link but you could certainly use a rental machine. If you have pets, investing in one of these is a pretty good idea though. IMHO.

Second the bindle/cat idea.
