TSA luggage locks will work on amazon for the tents. You only need two, one for each opening. The zipper holes are big enough to allow the locks i used to go through.

We never got lights inside our tent last year so i can't even remember if there were any hooks to secure lights. I do remember that i was able to use my phone's flashlight and hang it above the tent and it would stay there.

I used this one last year worked like a charm.

I have this exact case design from Flambeau that I got on Amazon for sale for $30 a little while back seen here: https://www.amazon.com/Flambeau-Outdoors-Tactical-Case-Large/dp/B00C3MFDKK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523410215&sr=8-1&keywords=flambeau+ar+case
With that said, there are a total of 6 holes around the outside edge of the case that you can put locks on. Two on the back corners, two on the front corners, and two on the inside of the handle area. The holes aren't too big so I wouldn't expect to put any type of huge heavy duty lock on it. I bought these: https://www.amazon.com/ORIA-Combination-Padlock-Material-Employee/dp/B01GKSDOYY/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref=yo_pop_d_yo_pop_d_pd_t2
And they work perfectly. Not gonna stop someone from getting inside if they really wanted to, but it's a good preventative lock to deter lazy robbers / curious kids. Unless of course you choose an easy code that they'd know lol.
I rarely lock up my whole backpack but almost always lock my passport, backup credit card, and any other valuables. Yeah, lockers do vary so I tend to carry two sizes: a standard school-locker type and a smaller option. I tend to use the smaller one more frequently as it can also be used to lock the zipper on my backpack during bus journeys or in the absence of a locker.

As others have said though, the lock is really just a deterrent and won't stop anyone who is really determined to get into your stuff, but it's about the least you can do regarding security so it's worth it. Typically hostel thefts are crimes of opportunity and most would-be thieves are just going to look for an easy target.
I found one of these book safes in a local Job Lot store and keep the keys on my person at all times. It comes with 2 keys, one of them is on my keyring that is with me at all times and the other is somewhere else that I keep with me at all times.
If you have a bookshelf somewhere, it fits perfectly. If your Nmom is mega snoopy to the point of opening books and going through pages looking for stuff then yes it would be better to hide the safe under your desk or bed. Maybe even under your mattress if you think she'd waste the time going under your bed.
I have mine for peace of mind and it's just a great thing to have. It's slowly becoming my momento box since I no longer have to hide things. And it's pretty cheap! Definitely see if you can find one at Walmart first before buying on Amazon.
Measure the maximum space you can occupy in the fridge, then get a live animal trap that fits in that space. You'd only need two small padlocks to secure the two ends that are "openable".
Something like this and one or two of these maybe? Enough to keep them out, but not so much that it's a pain in the ass for you.
Bonus: when you're done, you can use 100% of the parts for their intended purpose. If you buy a small fridge, you're stuck with a small fridge.
Alright, let's see...
1: Roles
Obviously, players should play as themselves. However, you should randomly assign a few of your players secret agendas/information. You can text each player their information, or write them note cards. Possible notes could include:
Unless you're willing to break a whole bunch of laws, there's no getting around the lack of actual death. However, by giving every player a unique role, you can more strongly drag them into the world.
Additionally! You get the added benefit of players not being able to fully trust each other. Just don't add too many 'evil' roles, and it can add an extra layer.
2: Set-Up
I've read enough of your comments to know that this is a low budget project. With that in mind, you can still get a lot done with a small amount of cash. It's all in how you spend it.
[Here] (https://amazon.com/Eilin-Combination-School-Home-Office-Storage-Lockers-Gym-Lockers-Drawers-Cabinets-Toolboxes-Luggage/dp/B072N8VMXL) is a set of five padlocks for 12 bucks on amazon. These could be used for puzzles mostly. Assuming that everyone is playing by the rules, you shouldn't need to actually lock the doors. At best, you could mount a calculator next to each one. That would allow people to type in their numbers, and add them up. That way, you won't end up with any accidental cheaters.
You can place files with relevant info in puzzle rooms. By doing this, you could make morse code, binary, or similar puzzles far more fair. Most people don't know codes of those varieties off of the top of their heads, so this would be a fair way to implement them.
For the AB Game, if you choose to do so, the only thing you'd NEED to do is separate players. After that, you can handle it any number of ways. They could write their results on note cards, text you their answers, or just say them to you.
There are a lot of good suggestions for puzzles in this thread, so I'll leave that to others.
3: Gonna be honest, I don't have the time to really add anything else to this. Like, maybe I'll edit some more in later, but probably not.

In here!
This won't solve the set up and tare down time, but have you ever heard of the Gaems cases? They are cases with a built in 15.5 -19'' screen that you can carry your console and controllers in and game in. I used this set up over the holidays and have taken it to work so I can share the experience with people.
There are two main versions of the case. The sentry has a 15.5'' screen and gets the job done well. It goes on sale often at Amazon for $179 while the regular price is $199.
The vanguard is more robust and has a 19 inch screen but rarely gets discounted. $349 is a big step up in price and it's main reason for existing was to fit an Xbox one comfortably. Here is everything I use in my set up if you're interested.
Gaems vanguard: 19 inch screen version

Gaems sentry: 15.5 Inch screen amazing product for price point.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A7VK16A/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747244&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=gaems&dpPl=1&dpID=41aoGH76KRL&ref=plSrch
Psvr travel case: there are cheaper alternatives but I have this one and it's great.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LB4KJ90/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747548&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=psvr+case&dpPl=1&dpID=41iSXH1b7QL&ref=plSrch
AC 2 to 1 tail plug: this is great because in some rooms you might not have room to plug everything into a single outlet. This gives you 2 outlets with 1 plug. The psvr, ps4, and screen all need to be plugged in so this makes it a bit easier to accomplish.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000QZ6KBC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747673&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=ac+2+to+1&dpPl=1&dpID=512TfCxLsfL&ref=plSrch
Extra ac power cord for the ps4: not needed but one less thing to route and hook up at home.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0017UCTX8/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1485747983&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=polarized+ac+power+cord&dpPl=1&dpID=41243qPxqsL&ref=plSrch
Extra ps4 camera: again not needed but helpful to leave one in the psvr carrying case. They go on sale often at Amazon for $39.99

Gaems PGE battle bag: not needed at all but I love this thing. Designed to fit all the cases and keeps them from getting dinged up. Also has a Very large pouch on the side for more storage.
https://gaemspge.com/store/pge-battle-bag.html
Also worth picking up would be some kind of car visor or slim cd traveling case to hold 24 or so of your favorite games. You can place it under neath the straps that secure the console just fine.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000CAO7XO/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1485753365&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=cd+visor&dpPl=1&dpID=41MAD8WSA1L&ref=plSrch
Lastly, some form of luggage locks. I've never had a problem with the case popping open, but I've also never risked it. I have these combo locks and they work great.

This has really made the vr much easier to lug around for me and awesome way to share it with people.
I put my stuff in a locker and lock it with this lock. I used to have a much smaller luggage lock, because I liked this number combination type of lock and the small one was the only one I could find in a store when I needed one immediately. Now I use the other lock, which is huge and sturdy. I got the black one so that it's nondescript. I feel pretty safe at my gym though.

Lock box. It’s a combination lock box that hangs off your doorknob and you keep a front door key in it. Also works for when you forget/lose your keys. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RJSYK1J/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_6B.ODb4KHZRHG
Would you still nee?: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SG3LR9S?keywords=fingerprint+lock
C'est un comme ça.
IMO they're not worth it. They slip off the front feet like any cheap dog shoe (because the shaft is just not high enough to reach across the carpal joint and gets pushed down with every step) and the lower strap puts pressure on the dew claw for some dogs. These handle the job just as well if not better.
Buy something like this so you can drive in school zones.
There are a couple bluetooth locks available.
https://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-Padlock-Bluetooth-4400D/dp/B01A65T96E/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=bluetooth+lock&qid=1562716429&s=gateway&sr=8-3
It's too big to fit on a cage, but you could always have him get a metal box for it. Then he keeps his keys in the box.
They also make a time lock safe, but you have less control over that. You set it for a certain time and it won't open until then. If you wanted a surprise play time, you'd be out of luck.
I used these [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015XV2IXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_RHM8yb8DY44VK](TSA locks) this way I can have up to 9 single digit answers and use the colors to differentiate which lock the answers correspond to

Have your name on it in sharpie, put your keys into it in front of whoever you are to turn your keys into and lock and hand it to them.
Keep a spare hidden in your gear somewhere.
